MICHAEL GFour issues: 1) The location was far from my home. 2) The truck rented to me has bad gas mileage on the highway. I spent so much on gas for this trip. A lot more than other trips I've done. If I rent from U-Haul again, I will not use this type/model of truck again. 3) As I was driving and it was raining outside, there was a leak coming from the passenger side roof of the truck coming down through the seatbelt area and dripping on my wife. We had to stuff it with paper napkins so she would not get wet. 4) The truck specifies that it has 2 USB ports, but it doesn't at all. we had to purchase an adapter so we can charge our phone on our trip as well as use the GPS. Due to the inconvenience, I hope U-haul can credit us back some for the charge we paid for this trip.

John KI rent from this location rather frequently. This time was probably my last. Everything from start to finish was terrible. I do have on pending matter... personal property was damaged due to negligence. I filed a claim with your insurance company. Now I'm waiting to hear back. Hopefully your insurance company is better to work with and helps this location redeem itself. At this point, my expectations are low.

DANIEL KI have a loyal customer for many years I have always received excellent customer service.however my recent experience was not so good after returning the van I had rented and looking over the receipt I realized I was over charge on the insurance coverage I immediately call the store back but wasn’t able to reach them directly I got connected to an outside customer service after explaining everything to the gentleman he goes to questions me about everything he tells me that he doesn’t believe the person that help me made a mistake that it was my mistake for not going over the contract I the told him that I was given 3 choices of coverage which I chose the one that I always choose the more affordable one in my case he tells me to wait he’s gonna contact that store he then got back and told me I was not getting a refund cause it was my fault overall I am very dumb disappointed of the way the call was handle and it is sad that he even questioned my story

CAROLYN BIt is ridiculous for the app to ask for a photo of the roof of a van, which is impossible to get - it's just too high up, then say that, because no photo was taken, if there is any damage it will be charged to me.
KATHARINE GThe lady at the counter failed to let us know we couldn’t park in the lot. We left our car she called me 15 mins after we left to let us know we should come back or else our car might get blocked in. We came back and had to back track. I was really upset.

DANIEL DDue to proximity, I frequently rent from this location. If I had another practical option, I would use that instead. 1) The vehicles almost always smell of dead fish; I previously complained, and employees explained they receive all sorts of customers with all sorts of needs, implying some transport seafood for sale. 2) Sometimes, employees use the single disability parking spot despite not having legal authority. 3) When I once confronted employees of an illegally parked vehicle, they did not phone authorities to issue the posted $250 fine. I frequently feel my disability is disregarded by staff. It is demoralizing and makes me feel embarrassed.

Having to use my own phone to access the app o input my DL at the pickup registration (standing in front of the deck) was weird and unnecessary. Why force the customer to do that themselves? What if my phone was not working or if I left it at home?
Armando PWhile you they did accommodate my needs. I don't like surprises. To have to purchase a receiver and ball to be able to use the trailer. Is kinda crazy. Then once it's hooked up. To need an adapter from the RV style 6 blade factory plug on my suburban to the 4 pin old boat trailer style was another surprise. They had used ones that other renters left behind so they let me borrow them which was awesome. But if they wouldn't have had them or allowed that. This review wouldn't be very positive. Customers are renting a trailer. Being potentially forced into having to purchase the receiver and ball and light plug adapter would cost me more than the actual rental. And they would be items I'd probably never need to use again. I think the rental should come with the items they provided me with at this location. It shouldn't be suggested to purchase them. Raise the rental price a few bucks include everything needed and if the extra pieces aren't returned then charge them. Just my thoughts. Everything was great and the guy doing the hook up was the best. He went out of his way to help.
RICHARD SI ordered a furniture dolly but was given a hand dolly instead. Although the charge was removed from my bill when I returned the truck & explained the error, I would have benefitted from the equipment I ordered. Otherwise, very happy with the service.

MARIAM KThe left tail light on the trailer was very faint and could hardly be seen during the day or night. Your employee hooked up the trailer and looked at the lights in the daytime while I operated the turn signals and pumped the brakes. The trailer should not have gone out.

CHARLES G | First ImpressionsAccess to facility is poor. Renters are required to stop a lane of traffic to enter the building. My key card often did not work. In violation of the rental agreement, a renter was essentially living in a unit near mine. Conditions were unsanitary in these circumstances. There was the smell of urine. I waited weeks for staff to act. They did not. Staff finally acted when I was forced to complain with agitation. My unit's rent was increased every year until it was way out of line with the market. No loyalty to existing customers. Units are small and short. Generally unpleasant experience. But staff was friendly and nice.

I had to pay additional money for a locksmith to come out and drill the lack. There was no tools available for me to have staff break the lock open due to the fact that I lost my keys other than that everything went OK I did call Uhaul upon checking out.

My payments were set up for direct bill but I incurred fees and penalties for late payments in February. My account was opened on 01/29/23. I did not know there was no proration for billing. They offered to work with me on the charges when I called but they did not simply processed the fees and penalties with a double payment in March 2023.

Edward H | First ImpressionsI felt disrespected as a customer. In opening my contract I was very specific in cost and due date. I was told by Mike Lopez that I had a month free and my first due date will be in December only to get an email in November informing me I’ve been locked out and charged a late fee only one day after my free month was up. I was also told we don’t charge a month in advance however if you do not charge a month and advance then how was I late when my free month was just over. I felt that offer was too good to be true in the first place and it turns out that I was right. If I were supposed to pay at the end of November that is what I should have been told when I asked the question at the signing of the contract, I tried contacting Mr. Lopez after the incident and never received a call back or email from him only excuses that he would not be in the office for a few weeks however there should have been some sort of manager who could have called me back. Needless to say I said it paid them their money and immediately removed my things from this company and I will never ever use their services again. The $19.95 rate on the truck is very inaccurate there is no way that you will get a truck for that amount and it was impossible for me to get a truck for a one-way moved to Matteson Illinois from Forest Park, I ended up having to pay for 50 extra miles to return the truck back to the opposite side of town. I’m owed money since I didn’t use the entire month and I’m expecting my prorated amount refunded just as quickly as Uhaul locked me out of my unit and charged me a late fee. BTW don’t waste your time calling corporate, I tried that as well and getting in touch with a human there is impossible. Dispute was resolved by me paying what they asked and removing my items but it’s very likely I would never use them again or recommend to anyone.

The lady asked me questions about furniture I had even how many bedrooms which was two with king and queen size bedroom sets. I could barely put 1 bedroom in the unit she reserved for me therefore I had to shop around for another storage place which cost me more money and more money for the movers!!! I’m so disappointed. My move was the worst. Always check out the facility…The young man was very nice and understanding. He apologized and was helping me find some place else.

The only minus for the location is that the main entrance is situated vey close to the busy intersection which can make it difficult to drive in and out. The storage entrance is further past the main entrance and is not as problematic.

We had to throw many of them out. This was such a terrible experience!
