Made a reservation online to pick up in Cicero Illinois get there and they're sending me to another location and this was after confirming that I was supposed to go to Cicero for the P/U. Not the 1st, 2nd but third time that we've gone through this at the Cicero location. Call before going. Place to go is Forest Park Illinois Uhaul call confirmed picked up in and out in about 20 minutes.

The first location I requested for pickup was not available but UHaul didn’t tell me. I had to call and verify. It would have been much better if UHual updated customers.

The self drop off after hours on line instructions are confusing. When on the internet site you can't take a picture with your phone. Had to call customer service. It was dark out and the hold time with customer service was 30 minutes; that was unacceptable. Sitting in the dark in the truck in an unattended lot is not a good idea.

Test your IT infrastructure so it can handle peak demand on the last Saturday of the month. Check in moved very slowly because “the system [was] sluggish” for everyone, including those that “checked in” online.

This location is very difficult to access. Very busy intersection and not easy to get in and out of. Also, we had scheduled to pick up the van by using the phone check in feature but when I arrived that didn't work. It took longer to get the vehicle than we expected which was disappointing since that feature was supposed to save time.

Need more than one person in the morning to help customers picking up rental vehicles. My wait time was approximately 20 minutes as the line was long and bogged down by people also renting storage spaces or other complex transaction. This facility seemed to have other people but they appeared to occupied with inventorying the vehicles returned from the previous day and the check out appears to require a higher skill level. My associate was very apologetic and she certainly was efficient. There has to be a better way to do this or the help has to be able to jump in to get things started at least as those with me in line seemed to share a similar frustration that they weren't going to get out on the road in as quickly as they had planned.

Understand that people coming in have questions and need friendly answers. There was a mood of general frustration of the customers in the place. We weren't treated poorly, but were treated as though it was a DMV or governmental experience. There was one person behind the counter who was more accommodating in her approach and that made a difference. The people working there had an air of being overworked and treated poorly (probably by frustrated customers). If you employed a customer service model more like Starbucks, your employees would be happier, and your customers would be happier. Moving is stressful. It you add some accommodations that worked to alleviate that, even by a tiny bit, you will have happier customers and less employee attrition.
