It was very difficult to get ahold of anyone at the facility. They were not interested in helping us at all. It was far more difficult to get my small amount of storage removed than I could have possibly imagined. I will never store anything with U-Haul again.

HUGO RLa experiencia mía completa en U-Haul fue Super mala, tanto con el arrendamiento del vehículo como con el Storage. Desde el primer día que entré en contacto con U Haul hasta el día que retiré mis cosas del Storage Tuve problemas. Primero, cuando fuimos a recoger el U-Haul Truck, había seleccionado como lugar de recolección una dirección cerca a mi casa, fui a recoger el vehículo, y me dicen que en esa ubicación ese tipo de vehículo y tamaño no lo tienen.( a pesar que la reserva decía que si) En esta primera ubicación de Uhaul me dicen que tenía que ir a otra ubicación, lo cual me hizo perder por lo menos 1 hora de tiempo en el día de mi mudanza de casa lo cual fue terrible . Llegué a la siguiente ubicación donde habían unos empleados que no fueron amables, eran bastante rudos, además de esto, sin yo pedirlo, cambiaron mi reservación a nombre del conductor del vehículo, a pesar de que yo le había puesto como conductor autorizado en la reserva ellos deciden cambiarlo. Con mi reserva original, me habían ofrecido por diferentes medios como e-mail, y texto un mes de almacenamiento gratis. Aunque yo no quería ni necesitaba originalmente usar 1 mes de almacenamiento, ya que recibí tantos. e-mails y textos, decidí usarlo, el día de mi mudanza. Dado que cuando fui a hacer la reserva el empleado de U-Haul cambió mi reserva, la oferta de un mes de almacenamiento, se eliminó, y este trabajador de U-Haul no me lo comentó ni me dijo que iba a perder ese mes . Después de todo un día de haber movido cosas y cajas de un apartamento a otro, y en un estado de cansancio y estrés, llego a usar el almacenamiento en U-Haul hacia 5 pm y me dicen que no lo tengo más gratis y que no hay nada que hacer sino pagar $170 . esto me causó un gran estrés y ataques de pánico, pues yo ya había previsto usar este almacenamiento para dejar algunas cosas y ya no tenía donde dejarlas, tampoco tenía presupuesto ese día para para pagar ese mes de almacenamiento. Tuve que pelear y hacer varias llamadas a U Haul para que esto fuera resuelto, lo cual me causó ataques de pánico. Perdí aproximadamente dos horas. ( hasta 7 pm) Después de por fin dejar las cosas en el sitio de almacenamiento. Veo que este storage no tiene aire acondicionado, lo cual es algo no conveniente. en un clima de alta humedad como el de Miami, en mi caso, yo dejé unos colchones, los cuales sin aire acondicionado se pueden podrir aparte de guardar toda esta humedad, realmente es un almacenamiento de baja calidad. Por fin, el día que fui a recoger las cosas. Tenía entendido que este Storage era abierto por lo -24 horas o si no hasta las 10 de la noche que fue la información que me dio Servicio Al Cliente, sin embargo ya cuando revisé en el website veo que el fin de semana únicamente está abierto hasta las cinco de la tarde, lo cual es un horario poco conveniente para las personas como yo que trabajamos entre semana y el fin de semana Tal vez no podemos ir temprano sino después de 6 pm. En todo caso, cuando por fin pude ir a recoger mis objetos en el almacenamiento, me doy cuenta que en este almacenamiento, hay homeless que viven dentro, y tienen inclusos tarjetas de acceso. Aparte de eso cuando llegue el parqueadero estaba todo inundado y me tocó mojar los pies y los zapatos ya que el pavimento no tiene una forma de sacar el agua de la lluvia y todo el parqueadero estaba inundado. En general toda la experiencia con UHAUL fue horrible. Tratar tanto con el Truck como con el servicio de Storage.

Maxwell FMalísima atención al cliente, las empleadas a carcajadas y a los gritos entre ellas,como si no estuviéramos allí ; muy poco amables para atender y explicar cómo es el procedimiento, y para culminar el empleado que recibe los vehículos, con mala cara, ya ni siquiera esperaba que diga buenos días, realmente una experiencia bastante negativa. Definitivamente si necesito el servicio en un futuro, no visitaré esa sucursal.
Mariana CEmployee who was there for our drop off was very rude and unhelpful. Gave us a lot of attitude when he realized we started the drop off process claiming we shouldn’t have started it. I have only ever done mobile drop off in the past so I did not know we shouldn’t have done it ourself. Overall the process was confusing, he was very unhelpful as he refused to answer any questions and over all rude. Our uhaul experiences were all pleasant prior.
Ashley BThese charges appear excessive and possibly duplicated, as it seems unreasonable to incur multiple tolls within just minutes. Additionally, I have concerns regarding the administrative fees. If I am being charged $1 per toll as an administrative fee, this seems excessive and unfair, particularly if tolls were registered within a very short timeframe.

Without providing parking than you are part of the problem not solution. Did I mention major flooding of premise parking Stop the rain or fix the solution Six time customer. ALLEN CBeing able to drop off 24/7 at this location was super helpful. The QR code info to return the truck wasn't completely clear but once we figured it out, it was easy.

ROBERT MThe staff members at this location are extremely unprofessional, they failed to do their jobs properly, they failed to check the truck I rented after they got it from the previous customer for damages or they may have damaged it themselves and accused me of damaging it , which is offensive, disrespectful and inaccurate, I had to call the police for a formal report, and I hope to see them all in Court with all their records to try to prove that I caused any damage to their already beaten up vehicle.

You could tell he worked hard at his job but what he did that made all the difference in the world is his amazing attitude and happiness helping a customer. You are lucky to have him!

Customer service was great though everyone tried to help me as much as they could with my dilemma. I ended up going to another storage place at least with the truck rental there was no problems.

Charlie TThe service was excellent with the exception of the actual. The truck was clean however truck that had transmission problems. There cannot be notice locally however when driven on the highway the transmission slips in and out. Or maybe the truck needs a tune-up. It cause several fill ups at the gas station.I had to fill the truck after two hours of driving at a 55 mph rate. Please make sure the trucks are services with engine as well as cleanliness.
JOEL DThe tool you use to gage gas usage is not accurate. I initially took a picture of the gas needle when receiving the vehicle. When I returned, the needle was in the exact same location as I left, yet your machine indicated I would be charged $8.00 for gas. I know you are out to make money but be fair.

PELAGIA TTruck had a horrible smell inside. A combination of wet dog and sweaty socks. We had to buy a can of Lysol to be able to finish our errands.
VICTOR GAlthough the equipment was delivered quickly and adequately, the person receiving our cargo van when handing it in made an error putting in the amount of miles we drove. This resulted in us receiving an invoice of $1.500. When calling, I couldn't get anybody on the line, so I went back to the location itself and then the problem was resolved.
Liedewei VI love how fast and easy was to coordinate and arrange my moving. I would recommend U-Haul to anybody, affordable prices, very helpful and professional staff. About the help reveived from Maximovers, it was amazing!! Mr. Gonzalo assistance is the best, he coordinated everything and ensured that everything went as planned. The guys arrived on time and kept my furniture in perfect conditions, everything was handled with care and they offered the best price and service from all the available options. I'm beyond happy, the moving was fast efficient and I was able to arrange everything in less than an hour. I definitely recommend U-Haul and Maxivovers and I will hire them again when I need to move.

CHRISTIAN RExterior of truck very dirty. Gas tank at 1/8th which meant had to immediately get gas in the city that was expensive prices per gallon because inner city. App Uhaul didn’t work for receiving truck, told me this is common problem with app.

It should not take me to get connected with the district manager yo resolve my issues. Very burocratic and not easy to do business.

I'm still not sure, there seem to be after hour access or atleast placards next to key code locks indicating so. Booking online it stated that the lock would be inside the storage unit, this wasn;t the case so I had to run back down to the office to get the lock and run back up again. The trolly staircase had one wheel half broken so was an mission getting it to my locker, there were other trolly staircases further away. Booking online it doesn't indicate that the storage locker is 6 feet up and 10ft deep, just states 5x5x10. Certain oersons mught find it diffiult to store and access there items.

Carolina A | Overall ExperienceNot a very pleasant experience. Despite advertised being "climate controlled", my leather chair that I've stored there became very moldy, probably due to condensate. A lot of shady people inside with access codes to the facility, loitering and charging their phones, harassing you offering "help loading stuff". I've moved in after hours, so the next day staff put a lock on my unit and called me saying "we've put a lock on your unit, come to the office to pick it up". When I did, the guy in the office was very rude interrupting me all the time when I was trying to explain what I needed. Oh, and after the money in, you're facility charged me 3 times for 2 months. I've called you -" we don't see the 3rd charge". I've called the U-Haul itself - they've found the 3rd transaction that was not associated with my account, that's why this facility didn't see it. Im calling the facility again - "we don't see the 3rd charge". Yes, and I'm telling you exactly why. Had to spent about 2 hours to get that transaction cancelled. I'd avoid this place in future.

The building is historic and has its "issues" at times, but that is beyond staff's control but the resolve these issues as quickly as possible. Look forward to using again next year as always!

Only the 1st floor is climate controlled and I was told there is never any availability there. 2) Dark and smells. It is only February and it's very damp and humid, can't imagine our summer months. 3) Went to put a few more boxes in, the one and only elevator was broken so I planned to move my things out asap. 4) 2 weeks later, I come in, rent a truck and have my Moving Help scheduled and waiting outside when I head to storage to find out that the elevator is broken again. I go back into the store and was met by really bad attitude by U-Haul employee when I complained and said I wanted a refund for the truck rental because I can't load the truck due to the elevator not working. I had told the guy doing the truck rental that I was emptying out my storage and he rented me the truck anyways and didnt say anything about the elevator. *** I could go on but it was an extremely horrible expetience at this U-Haul

The doors for the stairs and fire escape are wide open, not locked so homeless people are coming in and out. However they are friendly and helpful homeless people so I’m not complaining. The unit size is deceiving,, the ceiling is the “10 feet “ or whatever so .. unless you plan on stacking everything 10 feet high you’ll need a big unit. Besides that, it did the job for my needs of 2 months.

GLENN S | Overall ExperienceIt took me over 45 minutes to sign for my storage unit and after driving from North Carolina and having made my reservation 4 days earlier they didn’t have my unit available. The solution was to give me another unit that was smaller and ended up not being able to fit all of my stuff. Once I finally got a unit which was now on the 7th. Floor vice the first I was promised the elevator was down for maintenance. It was a routine maintenance they decided to do in the middle of the day instead of waiting until hours when customers weren’t coming in and out needing it. I had to move meetings and extend time blocks because of all of the above mismanagement and even more frustrating couldn’t store all the stuff I had driven states down to put away for my military move. Very upset and unsatisfactory.

Mike L | First ImpressionsLets start with the unit location (which no one explain to you how uncomfortable could it be), unit was over another unit and my couch (which is not huge at all) couldn't fit in the hallway (not on the storage unit that it was super difficult to get in), I tried to talk with a girl there super rude because she was on a call and she didn't have time for a customer. Elevator will start closing and making noises after the first 2 mnts (because everyone knows you go to a storage and pay 150 dlrs just to keep 2 box and go). The same rude girl from before when I ask her if I could change units because we didn't fit on the sh..t they gave me she told me they didn't have any (which it wasn't true and we had to go back to get another real answer and she didn't even know how to charge us correctly, but of course they did). We took double time doing this in the storage that what we spend from my apartment (in an 11 floor) to the elevator and then to the truck and all that time with everything in the elevator because there is only 1 elevator and we didn't have space to go or to put things. Awful service (specially the women), horrible storage locations, not friendly elevator and extremely frustrated experience.

After this deception, the girl that changed my unit after looking at a few units. Was super Lazy, rude, and would not detach from her phone to give me instructions. I had to return 4 times. Once for the code, once to figure out I had to use it for both doors just to find out I needed a card to do this, plus, was never given a lock...the van I rented did not have a dolly so I had to go searching for one and get the ok to take it...this burned up about 2 hours of my rental time. As I was finally moving in there was a huge rat trap in my unit which makes me very nervious of having my belongings infested.. there was a strong scent of Marijuana on my floor and 2 unit with people bathing and sleeping in the units like a hotel. One guy even had an extention cord going to his unit and closed himself inside.

There was two other young ladies present behind the counter who also interacted with me and were very helpful and nice. Everybody was smiling and the overall energy in the store was pleasant.

The floor was dirty and placing my couch there scratched the Italian leather on it, not to mention the roaches that enjoyed it. The most Disgusting thing ever. It’s a sauna in there. I wouldn’t recommend this place to my enemy. 👎🏼👎🏼. If I had more hands I would give it 10 thumbs down!

There were two guys pretty much “living” in one of the units on the floor where I was assigned. I felt nervous initially as there was a guy using a step ladder blocking the way and was rude about letting me get by to my unit on the day I was moving my stuff in. I assume these were paying customers so I didn’t make a fuss but it was weird. No issues with the facility or unit I was assigned.

Brian F | First ImpressionsI am now aware now that Miami is 85% Spanish. The storage in Miami wasn’t climate control. Climate control should be mandatory in all of Miami units. The staff knew only Spanish. They need interpretations or hire someone native that speak English. Jacksonville was okay. I had to call corporate to fully comprehend my reservations. 3 locations were not able to explain anything to me . I know things are hectic for everyone, just letting UHaul know things can be rectified. We used UHAUL in the last at least 8 times before this reservation.

It indicates there are rats in the building, but at least you're doing something to deal with it. The live cockroach seemed like more of a problem. When I asked staff about this, one person didn't know what to do and the other person suggested I get a roach bomb. I don't have a car so I walked to the nearest CVS, but they had no cockroach killer materials. I'm pretty concerned my clothes and other items will be infested with roaches when I return.

I gave them a “Below Average” because the workers are nice but they could never problem solve. The elevator is always broken, not just this year when they upgraded. What’s the point of a storage facility where you can’t get to your stuff? The last approximately 5 months I’ve had to walk up 5 flights of freight stairs and walk through dark hallways where often times I’m encountering vagrants. At one point a couple years ago the elevator was broken I asked that an employee escort me stairs because yet again the elevator was broken and they refused due to their own safety too. Nice staff but awful facility.

I need it to get my belongings on the seventh floor I had to use the stairs and was not able to move because the elevator was not working Few months ago I put a claim for items that were stollen and when I asked to see the film to see what happened I was told there was no security film. I consider this to be a major problem due to the fact that if anything happens to anyone there is no security cameras according to the office. I lost over $2500. worth of items including my diving equipment, coats, cloth..... and have no way to prove it.

Couldnt get my furniture out plus, I couldnt put the new stuff in this storage. Wasted a lot of time of the movers who charge hourly and had go to a new storage. They had to come back yesterday to get the resf of what I have in the storage get it down by the stairs with several movers in order to put everything on the same storage. I have been calling, texting, leaving messages and havent been able to talk to Hector the manager. I left my number, email and no reply. This issue cost me a lot of money which I need uhaul to reimburse.

Finally we got out, but my things stayed at the elevator for 5 days, until they fix it. I had to leave the rest of my things in the moving truck and hire new people for the unloading when elevator was fixed. I reserved my storage on the 7th floor, without letting me know that was burned a year ago and you still can breath the smoke in the floor. I needed to use a face mask every time I visit the storage. The unit was full of roaches, when I move out of the unit, it was infected of dead roaches. The place is disgusting, hot (not air conditioning) and dangerous due to the smoke. They I only stayed 2 months, and never got any discount or consideration after all I went through. It was the worst storage experience I ever had. The storage closes at 7pm, but there are access through the outside stairs leading to the floors, where homeless people come to stay for the night. Very dangerous. I don´t recommend this location to anybody. It was a nightmare for me dealing with the elevator, that breaks all the time according to people going there.

It appears to have a mouse problem and I worry that our mattress will be attacked by mice. Also there are homeless people wandering in and using the elevators to hang out in the upper storage floors They carry food which attracts mice. .
