The van was in an average condition. Fortunately I had 7 miles to drive but if that was for a "long trip" I would hate it :-)

Upon exiting on September 18, 2016 at approximately 11:30 p.m. I was on the interstate with my brother-in-law and we called to advise that the mileage reader in the truck was broken and was calculate 1 mile for every 1/2 to 3/4 mile in vehicle bearing VIN no. 1GDY72ca4e1917258 and we received less gas than what was indicated on the contract. We have video and photographs of both. We were told that we would be called back immediately but we never were. Since I am an attorney with a busy schedule, I needed to return the truck before they closed at 4:30 p.m. so we kept the truck and waited for a call. We never received the call and when we returned I was advised that my contract would be left open and the manager would call me the next. He never did and instead my credit card was charge full price. I am in the process of seeking an investigation by a local news outlet because I do not have the time to litigate over this sum but there is something very suspicious about the mile reader and the manner in which my claim was handled. The staff at this location were very unprofessional and not knowledgable of the procedures and business operations for uhaul. They incorrectly noted the gas levels and mileage for the truck I rented and almost cost me an unnecessary expense. When we called this location and spoke to the assistant manager they were extremely unhelpful and rude. The assistant manager even said "it's not my problem". No customer and sales based organization should ever say that to a customer with a complaint. I humbly request that this location be investigated for its unprofessional and borderline unethical relations. There are other locations close to this one, I warn other potential customers that you will have a very negative experience if you go to this one. Please be warned, I will be alerting everyone I can and taking action against the potential fraud that occurred with my case.

We asked Mary Anne where we could drop off the truck and explained that it could more than likely be the same night once we are finished with the move. She texted my friend the best location for us to drop the truck off. When we arrived at the location at about 7pm, there was no drop box to be found. We walked around the very sketch area, there are bums around here and a lot of questionable people that hang around. We searched while I called customer service around 7:30. The woman I spoke to tried helping me as much as she could. My phone was about to shit off so my friend called again on her phone and got another woman around almost 8pm who threatened to hang up because my friend was talking over her. The woman over the phone repeated "I'm very sorry for this inconvenience, unfortunately..." Like a robot about 3 times. I do not need generic from the book in empathetic responses. I need solutions and she was not trying to resolve the issue. All she was doing was saying sorry and telling us what we couldn't do. We sat in that parking lot for over an hour until I slipped the key under the closed hated door of the loading/unloading area. All around the entire experience was frustrating and extremely inconvenient. We've never had a problem with UHaul in the past. The Sunrise location is a bit sloppy and the Miami location on 1st Ave is scary and uninviting. When I spoke to the first woman I felt I was being taken care of but the second woman made our frustrations worse.

Hector, the location manager, parked all the trailers so close to each other that they were stuck- so when my husband started to drive our rented trailer, he was actually dragging two 6x12 trailers! He did not apologize and simply yelled at his attendants to quickly bounce on the hydrologics in order to disconnect them. He wasted 20 minutes of our time from our move out of Miami. I will never go there again and seriously makes me doubt U-haul. Also he informed me to push against the first trailer in order to assist in disconnecting them. Just terrible!

I was told that mileage charge was $.069 per mile, also I left the gas tank same way I found it..I asked the guy that received the truck if My presence was necessary and he told me no, Now I understand why he want it me out of the store. I've used UHAUL always for moving purposes, this is My Last TIME!

1. Employees put me on hold on the phone over and over again, then when I went to the location multiple employees were sitting at the desk looking at their cell phone, looking like they should have enough free time to answer the phone. 2. During phone reservation was told I was reserving a 15' truck. Upon arrival was told it was actually a 17' truck which I would have never rented if I was told ahead of time. 3. When checking out truck, employee did not offer to inspect the cargo area of vehicle. Upon return improperly charged me a dolly fee due to broken seal, when I never actually touched the dolly. Refund only given after confrontation. 4. Charged me for 3 gallons of EZ Fuel even though I only was charged 5 miles. That means the truck would get 1.6 mpg, which is impossible. Refunded after stating that he misread the fuel gauge. 5. Nothing pleasant about this experience- employees need higher standards of service.
