The staff at this location was amazing, the rest of the process was a complete disaster with missed delivery days, broken down Uhaul trucks on my property and having to unload early because of the equipment break down. When the if the uboxes showed up earlier than the rescheduled date. I guess schedules are not a thing to adhere to at UHaul. The local location did everything they could to remedy the situation, Jade the driver of the broken UHaul truck, did everything humanly possible to fix the problem to the point I called and spoke with Christy (?) at the locale office to tell him to come in the house and cool off for a minute and escape the hot humid weather. So to recap, delayed delivery, broken stuff throughout the uboxes, and forced to empty uboxes early because of a less than reliable Uhaul truck that delivered two uboxes ahead of the others because the “big” truck can only hold 6, all kinds of added expenses from start to finish to reschedule other vendors last minute because of Uhaul. So not a great experience at all, but the local staff was nuce

They made the turn-in process seamless and quick. Very much appreciated after relocating over 600 miles with 2, 26 foot trucks, a car hauler and a toy hauler. After unloading everything there wasn't much energy left so the easy return was very welcome. Thank you!

Employee who completed my return did not process it causing me to get charged an extra day when I actually returned trailer 2 days prior to my deadline. And was told I wasn’t going to get charged to only be charged and now I’m finally waiting for a refund.

First time storing things here at the new U-haul building in Guntersville. Very nice and clean and with the unit's being climate controlled you don't have to worry about things getting ruined by heat or cold. The employees are very nice and help you with all your questions and concerns with the unit's or supplies or whatever your needs maybe for all your moving needs. Prices also are very reasonable especially for the climate controlled unit's. If I ever need to move or store things in the future U-haul in Guntersville Alabama will be my first go to every time. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I recently spent two days driving two different 26-foot U-Haul trucks from Fort Payne, Alabama to Grand Bay, Alabama, and overall I had a great experience. The trucks handled well, rode comfortably, and performed exactly as expected on a long-distance move. I also rented one of U-Haul's toy haulers and it handled great. I do have two suggestions that would make these trucks even better: 1. Install backup cameras on the 26-foot trucks. Vehicles of this size would greatly benefit from improved rear visibility and additional safety features. 2. Upgrade the headlights to LED systems. The current headlights leave a lot to be desired for nighttime driving, and the high beams were not very effective. The U-Haul app was easy to use and made the rental process simple. My only issue was at the drop-off location where cell service was very limited, making it difficult to log in and complete the return process through the app. Overall, this was a very positive experience. The equipment was reliable, the rental process was smooth, and I appreciate the quality of service. Address those two truck upgrades and U-Haul will continue to lead the moving industry.

On a previous trip, I also towed one of U-Haul's toy haulers with my Hyundai Tucson, and that experience was excellent as well. I only have two suggestions that would make these trucks even better: 1. Why aren't backup cameras installed on the 26-foot trucks? A vehicle of that size would greatly benefit from improved rear visibility and added safety. 2. Why aren't the 26-foot trucks equipped with LED headlights? The current lighting system leaves a lot to be desired, especially during nighttime driving. Even the high beams seemed ineffective at times. One additional note: the U-Haul app worked well overall, but I experienced issues at drop-off because the area had very limited cell service, making it difficult to log in and complete the process. Thank you for providing reliable equipment and helping make a challenging move go smoothly. Addressing those two vehicle concerns would make an already strong experience even better. Keep up the good work! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (or 4.5/5 if you want the suggestions to carry a little more weight)

The person who checked me did not seem like they wanted to be there and wasn’t very welcoming. I felt like a burden to her because I had a reservation. Then the car hauler had a blowout on the interstate which took 2 hours to resolve. The person who processed my return was incredibly nice, I think he may have been the assistant manager. He has more customer service in his pinky that the person who checked me in.

Someone was sweeping all the time. You could eat off the floors there. When I arrived the person (did not get his name) led me around to show me exactly what I needed to do. He escorted me to my free one month storage units, handed me the locks and showed me how to use the codes to get into my unit. This place worked like a well oiled machine. Good job.

I requested two dollies and reserved them at $7 each. Ironically, there were none available. However, I could purchase two on hand at $20 each. Total scam. I feel this is likely a corporate as well as a local issue as this was a corporate store. The vehicle was fine. The accommodation to the customers needs was poor.

Only thing I can say is, I which there was a military discount or something. I like many others I’m sure don’t need the truck for more then a day and only allotted 389 miles. A lot has changed. I don’t think it’s the Uhaul location perhaps maybe Uhaul in general. It just seems like there’s more ways of trying to get more money from the customer than not. And it’s not just you. I’m sure it’s the other places that offer the service as well. It’s like who can charge more money. And I think it’s a tad bit ridiculous. Not that my voice is a good change anything. But the service was good no complaints there. I did Peer check the vehicle and I jot down all the other things that could be wrong or I don’t wanna be blamed for. Thank you.

I was happy enough with the staff at this location. I wasn't happy that I reserved a truck ahead of time and then my reservation was changed to a larger truck. In this economy, I didn't need the added gas cost of the larger truck but I believe this wasn't Guntersville fault. Second, while the staff was friendly, I felt I had to wait a bit too long for them to bring my containers outside for me to load into the truck. I called ahead of time to prevent that, not the end of the world but definitely added more time than expected on moving day.

The POS system in the store didn’t work. I had to use the app, which was clunky and not efficient. Then it MADE me pick a drop off location 30 min farther than I wanted. The store personnel told me twice that I could change it, but I was unable to change it. The tires on the trailer were worn out.

The first 2 days moved in the alarm would go off when I opened my unit, so I reported it 2 times before it was corrected. Also, every time I would be working in the unit the hallway lights would shut off quickly and I would have to make some movement outside the unit to get the lights to come back on.

Our truck did not come with a ramp, so we had to pick everything way up to get on truck. A ramp should be standard on all moving trucks. Otherwise, it was fine.

Well don’t go by what the employees tell you there. Check the date on your paper. I went by what the woman told me behind the counter that the trailer was due back Sunday. I get a call Saturday from my drop off location when I would be there. I explained that the employee I rented from told me Sunday. It didn’t matter. They charged me for an extra rental with insurance. It’s stressful enough when you’re moving. Time is short so having to double check what U-Haul told me instead of thinking they knew how to do their job is redundant. But I assumed they told me right. But we know what happens when you assume.

My husband and I really enjoyed our short time here at U-Haul! We will be back to do business here when we are able! Our unit was on the bottom floor.. and it was really easy to locate and also our stuff stayed safe and clean. Dustin Wholsonback was very helpful and helped us all he could, he was kind, caring and friendly. Also, all of the staff showed so much care, and support when we needed to make a payment arrangement and worked with us on it. 10/10 Experience, and will be back soon!

Alisha Maples and the entire staff at U-Haul in Guntersville are top-notch and I will recommend them to all of my friends and family when it comes to renting trucks and storage units. They literally changed my life when it came to the ease of use of getting the truck rented and getting the self storage unit. I’ve never felt more invited and accepted in a business like this I believe that all of them deserve raises and I believe that they should be off on the weekends five day work week is plenty seven days a week is too many.

My daughter and I rented a storage room on line with a one month free option. When we went to the facility the Man in charge told us there was an issue with the room so he redid the request himself and gave us the one month free option. The second month we checked out before a third month would be charged on our account. My credit card showed we were being billed for two units. The Man in charge who changed our order obviously never cancelled the original on line order. I was told we could not get a refund for the mistake as the Manager in office that day we checked out had already cancelled out our account. So we paid for a second room we knew nothing about and lost over $100. Not happy with UHaul at all as we were told no way to put in claim for the second room we knew nothing about.

I moved out of my unit’s on July 11th and notified staff the same day. A month later I am still getting charged. I had to call 3 separate times to try to get them to inspect and close out my unit, each time they only said they were short staffed and would take care of it which they never did. I would not recommend this place.
