The two reps at the Hammond location were beyond exceptional! I’ve used this U-Haul for years and nothing short of amazing. My rep took such good care of me. I was also in and out. She pulled my truck right to the door. Let me know everything I needed and even got me a drop off location just seconds from my new house. I’ll go to this location anytime! Thanks again!

Was charged for 3 gallons of fuel when the unit I was given was even filled to 3/8 of tank to begin with drove a total of 8 miles not even enough to move the gas gauge and now getting charged for 3 gallons that’s bs

I normally don't give compliments, but the young lady Shessiah is an excellent employee. Right attitude and enjoys what she is doing. She is the type of person who should be training other new employees throughout the company. I sincerely mean that. You only get one chance to make a first impression and her first impression is the best impression than any company would do desire.

This whole experience was horrific. Not only did they not have the right space I had to load and unload and double pay workers. They sent me to another facility then double charged for the truck. I will never use U-Haul again. U-Haul caused me to over spend $500 I am so outdone

I filled the tank to the level when I left the facility, drove 40 miles and added 3 gallons before I returned - across the street. Yet, an additional 4 gallons were assessed. I called in and was told it was my responsibility to check my phone with the sent link - although I told the worker I didn’t have my phone when she intimated asked me to take a picture of my Id. If she knew I didn’t have it, why should I have been expected to know a link was coming to my phone? I completely disagree with the stance of the store and the $18 assessment.

My U-Haul truck was extremely loud and difficult to steer. The doors in the driver and passenger side were very hard to close as well. Safety risk. Also I had to come back for the dolly and furniture pads I paid for. I asked about getting another truck but was not accommodated.

First I was given a truck with a quarter tank of gas. I was given a key and told I was all good. I go out to the back lot, in the dark, and the truck was between 2 trucks. I had to go back to the office to ask for someone to move the other trucks I then had to ask for assistance finding the tow dolly and had to ask twice for the moving pads I had requested. This was the first time renting from uhaul that it took over 30 minutes to get my rental and be able to leave. Also, the truck kept throwing code while driving, one stating the brake was engaged, hill assist wasn't working and there was play in the steering wheel.

The customer service Brandon was rude need not to work with customers. I was asking questions about returning he was not polite at all basically laughed at me when I asked him his name said what's going to happen to me that is not good service when a person tells a customer nothing going to be done. Im spending my money and i feel that people should treat people how they want to be treated.

Upon my return I asked an employee that was outside looking at vehicles is there anyone to check vehicles in so I can get a receipt he said yeah you could just leave or just wait until I'm done I asked how long will he be then he said well fine what truck is it talking to the truck sat in the truck for about 10 minutes we walked inside gave him my contract he said I didn't need it I picked it up off the table then he looked at me and says you got a problem so no and he started cussing me and he even says let's go outside I'll beat your ass out right in front of the manager and another customers and in front of my son and said something to my son. So here's my number 219-631-6529 I would like a call back on this.

My safety concerns was not treated as a concern. I was provided a messed up truck with rubbing breaks and I spoke to many representatives on Christmas Eve (I wasn’t able to finish any shopping due to this situation while evening was ruined) Emmi (manager) felts as is if it was okay for me to drive a uhual truck that didn’t have good breaks which is a high safety concern. I was told repeatedly a tech would come out and check the vehicle etc etc but I’ve tried to explain multiple times I will not drive that vehicle I was very scared driving to my home and decided hey this is really unsafe and unfair to the customer to be told I need to drive the truck back another 25 mins with messed up breaks???? I never had a bad experience like this ever I don’t appreciate how I was treated and it took the tow guy to literally tell uhual that he is going to tow it because it’s a safety issue and he understands he wouldn’t want his finance to drive the truck just ridiculous he was the only one who took me seriously. Absolutely ridiculous .

The only reason I gave this facility a three star is because the customer service is great but the storage cost every month was super expensive the storage I had was super small and I paid 149.00 every month sometimes lates fees which I will pay 179.00 when I say my storage unity was small I mean small another all my mattress was stained with yellow stains I don’t know why and where if came from because we I first brought my things to this location my mattress was good as new and now I just want to throw them all away once I unload my things from the U-Haul I will definitely take pictures and file for complaint

I purchased my uhaul unit on 8/21/24, I am moving in today, (8/22/24). The staff member I was serviced by was very “nice-nasty,” and was unnecessarily giving me a hard time. Prior to coming in on 8/21, I had already come in and reserved the same unit. The manager was polite and helpful on that day. As for the staff member that worked that afternoon, he was not pleasant at all. Also, the set up is very inconvenient. You can’t park in the actual dock area, my unit is up the stairs, which means I have to bring things in from my car, parked outside of the dock. Currently, I am moving some heavy things in by myself. The lock system is inconvenient as well. I had to keep going in and out, and up and down the stairs. A staff member put a gold lock with red tape on it on the unit. I had to continuously go up and down, back and forth just to have the right key for the red tapped gold lock. There’s no elevators, or anything to help move things into the storage unit. Even with movers to help, it would be nice to have a cart or something to help customers move into their units if I have to bring things from the lot which is absolutely crazy. I was asked repeatedly yesterday, “are you moving in today?” Besides the gold key, what does it matter if you can’t park in the dock, there’s nothing to help move, (as in carts etc.), and you’re going to be inconvenienced anyways. Something told me to go to another Uhaul. I’m upset I didn’t listen to my first mind. If I could, I’d truly get a refund from this place. Moving can already be hard enough.

For the rate you charge you should offer more space. Also how do you force your clients to buy your product after purchasing the unit. That’s not business friendly. You don’t know what financial situation your customers are in to demand that they buy your lock for their unit. You should be very clear that an 8 x 8 only fits half of a three bedroom apartment . You also need to work more diligently towards restoring your 10 X 10 units because you had a lot of customers asking for it but it’s still under construction at that location.

My only qualm is the hours. I had a previous storage unit that gave clients access codes so they can visit outside office hours. Their hours were much earlier and later comparatively. This facility was great, clean, and nice overall.

T he two women clerks (can't remember their names) and Brandon Adams (the male clerk) were extremely helpful and work to accommodate my immediate need for storage. The facility was well kept and they were all able to address my questions. I highly recommend this location for storage and UHaul Truck rental.

Alma Leal was the store associate who assisted me and she was incredibly helpful. She explained the terms and conditions of my contract; she showed me where my storage unit was and gave me tips on how to store my items; and told me that she's worked at this particular U-Haul location for 16 years and there's never been an issue with customers' items being ruined or stolen, which gave me all the confidence I needed to leave my things behind. Alma is an all-star associate and without her help, I would've gone to another storage facility. She was literally the best!

I had an appointment and I arrived 5 minutes early. I waited 20 minutes just for someone to acknowledge me then I had to wait another 15 minutes while the rep helped someone make a reservation instead of giving me the keys to the truck that had been reserved and checked out during the mobile check-in. I will never recommend uhaul to anyone

The employees were more than helpful and nice. Only issue I had, was I did not receive the items I preordered with the truck and storage unit. This included the bed covers, boxes, etc. which was fine because I didn’t end up needing those items. I believe I was still charged for them though.

I love this place. I have my property for one year and seven months and everything was in great condition because you have the temperature nice all year long. I will like to personally thank Mrs. Natallie! She’s great and all in one fabulous. She showed concern and met my every need. She also have her staff well train. I mean they were all like family I felt the energy when I first came into the store last year! The staff shows gratitude, love, care, sympathy and most of all excellent customer service!! The young lady Patricia I met when I received my things made it seem as if she been there longer then the time frame she had been, she just fit right in, I love it!!
