I had reserved a Van at the Lasing location 3 weeks in advance and then went to the store the Sunday before my Wed pickup. When I called the store on Wed morning they did not have a Van for my reservation. Had to go to the Hammond store to pick up Van and had to by $75 more than the rated quoted to me at the Lansing location

My experience was perfect. I reserved a 4x8 trailer, it was ready as expected, clean, and in and out within 20 minutes. The trailer hauled without a problem. At the drop off center I was in & out in less than 10 minutes.

Offer consistent customer service and train employees to be accountable, not argumentative. We received a call the day of our scheduled pick up telling us that we would have to pick up the truck from a different the location in Hammond. Our reservation was in Lynwood, close to our current and new home. I asked the representative if they would adjust/compensate for the difference in mileage. He said, yes. When we got to the new location in Hammond the person at the camera said they could not and would not do that. She said she didn't know why they told us that and that she didn't have anything to do with that. She said we could try and talk to the manager whenever he/she came in. The other lady at the counter chimed in unnecessarily and then proceeded to discuss our transaction with the customer she was helping. She said to the other customer, "they always telling people stuff that ain't true and they come in here going off on us. We didn't have nothing to do with that." It was very unprofessional. Although frustrated, at no time did we become upset. We only wanted to pay for what we reserved and be compensated for the extra miles we had to travel through no fault of our own. That did not happened. What was most bothersome was the attitude of the two employees behind the counter. They were focused on asserting that the mix up was not they're fault, that 'they didn't have anything to do with it's. From a customer's viewpoint we are doing business with U-Haul, not individual employees. The people that work there should understand that and not take things personally. We never accused the ladies at the counter of doing anything wrong, U-Haul made the error. We just wanted things to be made right. Them taking things personally led to poor customer service and frustration for us on our moving day, which is stressful enough to begin with.

I reserved the truck on line. It was there and ready to go at the reserved time. Staff was friendly and helpful. It began to strom right as I need to leave and the guy assisting me in the office moved the truck closer to the office for me. Nice gesture and much appreciated

We had made a reservation roughly 3 weeks prior to our move. The day before the move we were called and redirected to pick up our truck, of a different size from what we reserved, at a location 45 minutes away in another state. This was a huge inconvenience to say the least. Adding 90 minutes round trip, having to drive to another state, paying additional in tolls, and not even getting what we reserved is ridiculous. To top it off we had to coordinate all these last minute changes with a six month old in tow. I will not be reccomending U-Haul to friends or family in the future.

The dolly wasn't in the truck when we got all the way home....we weren't supposed to even pick up in Hammond about 30 minutes away. No one showed us how to hitch the auto to until we asked. They were rude and when we called about the dolly they said we have to drive all the way back to Hammond. After some debate they let us go to schererville to pick it up which was still out of the way. We did not get the $20 credit they promised and lost 3 hours moving time which delayed the entire move bc it was pouring rain by the time we had what we needed to load up.

The drop off was nice and smooth with the general manager but I didn't see his name. However, one employee was completely rude to my wife when it was their screw up. I never write poor reviews about anywhere but overall, Uhaul was an awful experience and if I can find somewhere with similar prices we will NEVER use them again. Their communication was terrible and they didn't care about the mistakes they were making. AWFUL

The assistant manager or manager made the whole rental experience great. I think his name was Ernestro maybe not spelled correctly, but if he is not a manager he should be the manage. With out his help I would have left to some other place, and not uhaul. At least give the man a raise. please show this to him so he knows he was a very large help. Don't rent the car transport that is on credit card hold. 2 hours late on my way.

Took 40 minutes to RETURN a truck. Truck was due at 9am. Staff didn't even open door for business until 5 after 9. There were 3 people in front of me. After 30 minutes I got to the front and then was told I needed to check in outside despite the guy running around outside was clearly doing everything himself. After finally getting the truck checked in which I had to park on the grass since there were so many trucks parked in front of the entrance. I then was told I needed to wait in line a 2nd time for my paperwork and change. Luckily the guy who was at the front was nice and knew I'd already been there over 30 minutes. Finally the customer service woman who had an attitude and was rude attempted to give me my change but didn't know how to get the register drawer open. I had to wait additionally for the poor guy running around outside to come in and give me my change. Worst experience I have ever had with uhaul. Do not recommend returning a truck at 9AM as it is clearly a shit show.

We had to pick up our truck in another state. We were told someone would call when the truck was ready. They never called our whole day was delayed. I am very upset about the entire UHAUL experience and will NEVER use this company again.
