The trailer received had a broken door which no one would repair since it was on a holiday. They wanted me to return the trailer from Georgia to Nashville, Tennessee to pick up a different one a 12 Hour Dr. then they said they would have to cancel the contract and recharge me for another trailer. I am not happy with your services at all

On the day we picked up, the agent was overwhelmed. His name was Cameron and he was outstanding, but severely undermanned. He had zero help. In addition to me, there were 5 other people there waiting to pickup/return their equipment. Making matters worse, this store has gotten extremely lax in its delivery of equipment. In the past year to 18 mos, this location has gone from pulling up the vehicle and walking out with you to make sure everything is good to just slapping a set of keys in your hand and pointing to the parking lot for you to find the equipment yourself. And that was exactly what happened when I picked up this vehicle -- only the vehicle I was given was buried in the mix so that I could not pull it out without help. Rather than pulling the truck out for me, I was given a new , easier to access truck -- but I could not check in or review the equipment online in the usual manner because I never was sent a link to the new vehicle through the app. I just had to take my chances and hope that I was going to be correctly credited when I returned the truck. It was NOT comforting. Plus, the new truck I was given was absolutely the worst driving truck I've ever rented from this location -- EVER. All-in-all, I'd say this experience was pretty bad. It has definitely led be to explore other options for the next time I need to rent a truck; something I do several times a year. Again, Cameron was great. A significant improvement over the other agents/workers in that location. In fact, I've noted in the past 18 months or so that the employees at this location have some of the worst attitudes of any place I do business. The general vibe given off is that they hate their jobs. It is NOT a pleasure doing business at this location any more. In fact, were it not for Cameron's politeness and willingness to resolve my issue, I would give this experience zero stars. I sure hope they make some changes -- particularly with the staff's attitudes.

There was a very nice young black man working who was nice and helpful. I appreciated him. However, you have a younger white male that was working this day who has the absolute worst attitude and has no business working in any type of customer service environment. There was a gentleman in line before me who had just picked up a trailer. The wheel locked up 1 mile down the road and your employee was SO rude to him. He berated the man and treated him like he was stupid. He refused to help him. All the guy wanted was a different trailer so he could be on his was and the man refused to help him and basically told him call the 800 helpline and piss off. That is not how you treat customers. The customer was trying so hard to work with the guy and present solutions as he was in a hurry and your guy was just ignoring him. When the guy said why aren't you are responding, he said I already gave you your option so there is nothing else to say. 2 weeks later I rented another unit and had a run in with him as well. I dropped a truck off and didn't realize the drop off zone was on the other side of the building. I was in a hurry and simply asked if I could just leave it there and they move it. They said no, I will admit I questioned why and was a bit annoyed at how the employees responded to a simple question but agreed to move the truck. This same white male (the other employee was black) approached me very aggressively and ripped the key out of my hand and said, "what's your goddamn problem man". I was caught off guard and lost my temper because in that moment I felt threatened and intimidated by the way he approached me. I said some things to him in anger that I regret, but he had absolutely no right to rip the key away and curse me. I shouldn't have cursed back, but I refuse to let a grown man disrespect me like that. He then walked away, and I think made a hand gesture as he was doing so. You can likely see the entire exchange if you have cameras at your front door. This guy's needs to be fired as he is a massive liability to your company. If I have witnessed this both times I have visited this facility, I can assure you it happens all the time. Your customers deserve better. I rent often from you guys and have never seen anything like this. Unless you can confirm he is no longer employed, I will choose a competitor in Hendersonville. I promise you that others likely feel this way but haven't taken the time to tell you.

The location is understaffed and those who are there are not friendly, helpful, or in a hurry. Upon returning the trailer, after 15-20 minutes of waiting, I was told “I will get to you when I can. See all of these people?” Not a great experience.

The security system is broken and I was trapped on the 2nd floor for a while. I pressed all the buttons to escape but no one answered me. Then I called the front desk but couldn't get a human to answer. The strap that closes the elevator is too short for me to reach. I eventually had to use the fire escape stairs to get out. I tried to tell the front desk but they were busy.

I picked up the trailer and went one block down the road and the left side wheel started wobbling and went to an extreme angle and locked up . I left the trailer at a gas station and went back to store and was told I would have to call roadside assistance ?????? . I was stunned !!!! . This is not good business !!! . I went outside and took a breath and went back inside and asked them to help me . The counter guy got on the phone with roadside assistance and got nowhere ! . He made another call and finally I got another trailer which is what should have been done to start with . All of this nonsense cost me about 2 hours . Wow , not sure I would rent another U haul ???? .

Checking in and out was slow! Line was long checking in. Then when it was our turn the employee who assisted us moved like a sloth or was on drugs. We had the wrong size ball for our hitch so we needed to purchase just the ball but you had no tools to remove it so we had to purchase the entire hitch! Returning someone had blocked the return area just left their truck causing a line and it to be backed up.

I am writing to express my sincere appreciation for the change in management at the Hendersonville U-Haul location. The decision to dismiss the previous manager, Ray Ray, was undoubtedly the right one. My past interactions with Ray Ray were consistently marked by incompetence, a lack of professionalism, and inconsiderate behavior. Since Brandon has become the manager, my experience has been overwhelmingly positive. He is consistently professional, helpful, and has significantly improved the customer experience at this location. I strongly urge U-Haul to recognize Brandon's exceptional qualities and use him as a model for training all employees across the company.

Waited a bit to check my rental back in when I returned it. Plus the marketing of rentals at $19.99 is misleading as there are substantial mileage charges…still a decent deal but the $19.99 stuff is not a reasonable representation of the true cost.

The service and delivery was fantastic. Very friendly and helpful. HOWEVER, my complaint is with the unit i rented. I dont hold the Hendersonville team responsible at all, as I said, they were all great. The unit had a slow leak in the tire that I had to keep an eye on and refill a few times on my 2 day trip. That was a pain, but even worse was when I got on the road I got pulled over in Memphis for failure to signal and basically no lights at all. The lights stopped working! They worked fine when I picked it up, but somewhere between nashville and Memphis they stopped! I checked my jeeps fuses sand it wasnt that. I had to stop and spend $40 at a Loves to hook up signal lights. I would like to atleast get reimnbursed or credited for those if possible. Please let me know, thx!

They claimed they “accidentally “ cut my lock off my unit. But I’m sure it was no mistake either they were coerced by a third party or they had their own suspicions on my unit. I was not greatly upset as to the fact I had nothing to hide except my 55 inch television fell over and got scratched which upset me, but I know they would have denied being responsible so I let it go. If they wanted to see inside they could have called me and I would have been happy to show them.

It is kind of hard to get out of the parking lot, since it is in a busy section right at a red light. It is very easy to find and turning in the rental was super easy. They were friendly and helpful with what I needed. There were 2 downfalls: 1 is I reserved a 10' box, and they only had cargo vans. It worked, but it was not what was reserved. 2 I wanted to pick it up in Portland, TN but had to go to Hendersonville and that was more miles that I had to pay for.

Made a reservation for 815 foot box truck and appliance dolly in person. Upon arrival there were no 15 foot trucks and my appliance dolly was given to somebody else which was made in the reservation. They gave me a 20 foot truck and charged me the mileage of a 20 foot truck and had to go all the way to Home Depot to get an appliance dolly. U-Haul‘s appliance dolly is $10 a day and Home Depot is $25 a day. Was not compensated for the difference or the mileage of having to go to pick up the dolly from Home Depot. I have rented from this place for over 15 years. I would never go back to them or refer many people I have to them ever again. This place is all about the bottom line to make money and not about customer service. I own my own business and would not be in business if I did what they did to customers!!!

I was giving the wrong trailer. Wrong number I could have been in great trouble if i was stopped or in an accident. The trailer was missing the front metal chains. I realized it when i loaded the car on the trailer. Luckily i had a 4" yellow towing strap the i used as a safety strap in the front. Attendants need to pay more attention to what they are doing and checkout the equipment before handing them out to customers. No excuse for the front safety chain to be missing and more important handing out the wrong trailer. 1st time ever I've had so many issues. I lobe using U-Haul and will continue to use them, I'll just have to be more careful and inspect everything myself. My home base location in Miami is great. I have always had great service from them.

The staff at the Hendersonville, TN UHaul location was excellent. Courteous and very helpful. I had some trouble loading my car on the car carrier and two staff members helped me. A young man named "Trey" checked me in when I returned the equipment. He was very professional and pleasant. Five stars to the staff!

Your website isn’t clear that you don’t have normal indoor storage garages. I assumed i was moving into a standard garage inside the facility as i have at every other U-Haul storage, but come to find out these are like little closet spaces. That isn’t clear whatsoever on the website. I ended up needing to add an additional unit as the first unit was on a second floor with no elevator to move large or heavy items. This cost me time which wasn’t the worst, but also money. I could e better prepped had i known better about the facility layout. Besides that, the customer service was great and accommodating.

Super shady. Received a call after I returned my rental. They stated that I hit another car, even though I didn’t feel it nor remember it. They said they had me on video. The police got involved, and asked to see the proof and asked for them to release the video of me Supposedly hitting another vehicle. They would not release the video, told the police officer that they would need a subpoena for them to release the video. The police officers stated, in over 10 years of being a police officer, he’s never ran into this situation before in his life. The police listed them at fault, Since they would not release the video as proof of me hitting another vehicle. Shady. Shady. Shady.

I don’t like that the main glass to the storage area door closes at 7PM it’s an inconvenience it shoukd at least be open until 9 PM . Plus there is no door stop to keep the door open , so you have to try and use carts to hold the door open otherwise you have to keep swiping your card .

Employees are awesome but... Storage units elevator is awful. Hall lights turn off way to soon. Not enough carts on weekends. Parking lot jammed with no room for customers. Storage unit customers who hire moving Co's monopolize the elevator & take all carts, no allowing others to use. Moving co's employees intimidate customers and are quite rude. Mgmt must address this!

It was touch and go there for a minute with the tornado damage which is no ones fault! But the rebuild process was a little slow and it was pretty inconvenient for a while with a down elevator and no other options to get to the 3rd floor. Im sure its more of a logistics problem than anything but it would be so nice to have a regular elevator as opposed to just the freight elevator. Not everyone is considerate enough to close the gates when they use it so others can get out/in. This is not why I left, I am simply moving out of state now. I am extremely happy with the value and service I recieve from this locations team always. Cheers!

Most of the staff were very nice and helpful. That's the end of anything good. My disappointment comes in the fact that the units are NOT climate controlled, due to the tornado, I assume. Yet they are still advertised as such and charged accordingly. My sister has a unit elsewhere that costs way less and is 10 times nicer - clean, climate controlled, twice the height in the unit, so that you're not constantly hitting your head on the sprinklers. All my boxes and couch got damp and stinky in just 2 months. I hope my couch isn't ruined. So disappointing that I wasn't told upfront about the lack of climate control, as it's too late once you move across the country and have people there waiting to help you unload. It's just deceitful. And to charge $175/mo. for it is ridiculous. I will not do business with U-Haul again because of this blatant deception.

We got the storage unit to help us prepare to move from an hour away. We have the code to access the unit after hours. It doesn't work. We called the after hours help number posted on the building but that guy doesn't work there anymore. We tried the 800# but it was all about truck rentals. I used the live chat and was told they were sorry but there was nothing that they could do to help us. We lucked out that someone was knew someone who worked there driving past saw us and stopped to check on us. They got us in touch with an employee who was very wonderful and was able to help us get into our unit.

The staff were very nice. The unit was the width and length that we expected; however, there was no ceiling height. It was literally above my head, so everyone kept hitting their head on the large sprinkler hanging down right at the middle of the front of the unit. The door didn't line up with the framing to be able to put the lock on and it was made out of plywood. Due to the lack of room because of limited ceiling height, we ended up having to take a good portion of my things to my sister's unit in Murfreesboro, which have us almost twice the space due to the ceiling height.

I was not given the correct units, U-Haul customer service refused to help me until the next day, I was forced to repack my truck and leave, I was forced to move the following day with less help and in the rain, I sprained an ankle losing my footing on the wet ramp, I missed work due to having to move the following day Saturday instead of Friday so I lost money. I would like to be refunded the money from my rental. Rental and mileage. Absolutely unacceptable customer service. The only thing that will fix this is a full refund.

This feedback is more about customers who DON'T READ instructions on the freight elevator. Some customers may not shut the exterior & interior doors of the freight elevator stranding other people. We got stuck almost 45 minutes waiting. We finally reached the staff & THEY were able to help us out by running up the stairs & properly shutting the elevator for us. Also, the Staff were SUPER helpful clearing a spot for our long trailer to unload. HIGHLY recommend this U-Haul.

Received truck late. Was scheduled for 11:15 for Hendersonville, TN but was changed Madisonville, TN for 11:15, but the storage unit I was loading out of was Hendersonville. I accepted the 1:30 PM at Hendersonville; however, the truck didn’t show until after 2:05 PM. The elevator delays the rest of the day were time consuming and a large constraint to load the truck by myself. Thank goodness I didn’t hire loading help since the elevator delays meant the helpers would have been standing around for over an hour. I ended up finish loading, but it was after 7:00 PM and I still needed to connect the transporter that no one showed me which one to connect so I stayed the night costing more money and time. The next morning I came back and checked out of 2098 and picked up the transporter. One of the Associates helped me hook up the hitch; however, the other said I would have to pay an additional $20 fee to load my vehicle onto the transporter. I said forget that and I did it myself, ask a gentleman that was loading his truck to help guide me on the ramp. I made all the connections myself.

!!! I cut my foot pretty badly on the remains of a metal sign post in front of the parking spot closest to the storage unit doors. Bad enough to require a trip to a doctor. Please fully cut that down or cover it with concrete or something to prevent other people from suffering the same fate !!! Other than that everything was ok. Moving sucks so it's hard to gush about a great experience, but all the staff were friendly and helpful, the resources like free carts and the free box stack made a huge difference, and the place was clean and felt safe for moving late at night to avoid the summer heat.

Ray the manager was HORRIBLE. He has no people skills and refused to research what I told him happened & instead said I owed him money when I only had the storage space for 2 weeks on what was supposed to be my 1 free month. It’s not cool having the manager basically infer you’re telling a lie & being told file a action report which I did & he had to eat crow bc I was correct. The storage space hinge was broken when I went to put lock on and lock wouldn’t go on bc of door hinge so I asked U-Haul worker to uncheck me out of the system & he agreed. I found out 3/03/22 he had not checked me out and a 3nd U-Haul worker said he’d fix it in the computer with the correct move in date which I found out wasn’t corrected when Ray called me back claiming I owed money. I checked out early & will NEVER use U-Haul again I’m any capacity bc of the horrible way they treated me. Oh and his workers hung up on me when they called me and I asked the to wait a simple minute and when called out on it in person he said that was him but didn’t even apologize. Run - don’t think of using U-Haul storage in Hendersonville TN.

I have tried repeatedly to have someone return my calls to no avail. The debt card on file was compromised and I ask for Ty Mc Connell to call me back and it never happened. He doesn't work there nor does Anthony. I called Ray Ray and left a message because because he is never available and failed to call me back to resolve. I have been going through chemo and radiation as well as two surgeries only to discover that I had three home evasion. I will provide documentation if needed . I am a 100% disabled Vietnam Veteran female and widow of same. We were both injured severely which resulted in his death and my illness. A majority of the items in storage are property of Aaron's rental and if sold, will be considered theft and result in a hosts of problems for U-Haul. I need to get my medical equipment, documents and keepsakes out as soon as I am able to travel, with assistance, of course. Adult Protective Services and my caretakers are urging me to reach out to the press. I would like a last opportunity to resolve this matter with U -Haul. The fact that the facility only has one elevator is really inconvenient. People would leave the elevator open on a higher floor and you couldn’t even get to your unit. They need to have stairs within the facility. Also, we were never taught or shown how to use the elevator and although we figured it out on our own, we did have it malfunction on the day we moved out, which was really scary. The staff there has a few, at best, “nice” workers but for the most part, they are lazy and never want to answer questions or help you. Someone should be by the elevator helping people with it if it’s held up on a different floor and they should really be paying attention to the cameras for when something does go wrong. I would never recommend this facility to anyone due to only have one elevator and no stairs.

the locks on call the storage doors were broke, you put your lock on and u could still slide the bolt and open the roll up door it was that way on over 90 % of the units. it took the owner almost six months to have them fixed and that was because we complained.

The doors to the facility was open 80% of the time people just walking in and out of the facility the freight elevator broke down took them six weeks to get it repaired doing this time I was not able to move anyting from my storage or taking anything to my storage they propped open the emergency doors on the outside steps allowing anyone to enter the facility the staff was very unfriendly and none helpful.

The staff and particularly management were understanding, helpful and very kind as I got behind on payments due to lack of income as a result of COVID during this past year. Management offered solutions to late payments and even non- payments without incurring late fees and even accepted partial payments in order to allow me to get caught up. If I were to have any negative comment at all it would be because of the wait time when calling to speak with an associate... However this is completely understandable with a smaller staff due to COVID. Even the answering service staff were friendly and helpful when I had to leave a message for an associate to call me back. In that event I always received a call back from a Uhaul associate in a timely manner with details of my call. My overall experience during this difficult time over the past year is excellent. The young gentleman that are at the front of the facility or not the greatest when it comes to customer service. Very dull not engaging. It’s very apparent they are not happy there. The other thing I would like to comment on is the bathroom facility that area needs some work Sink is coming off the wall and the soap that is available is limited. I know from owning my own business OSHA requirements and things like that this is not at all up to par. Huge liability with the sink and it doesn’t take much to install a sink soap dispenser. The lighting upstairs if you’re trying to empty your unit goes out a little too quickly maybe you can Extend the timer. Other than that your facility seems to be clean I would’ve liked to of known where the stairs were in case of fire never did find those just a safety precaution for new customers to maybe give them a tour of where the fire exit doors are. I wish you all success thank you so much for providing the storage for the year.

We were sent an email that said if we paid in advance we would receive a free lock and not have to check in at the desk. There was no lock in the shed so we had to purchase a lock, which was not expected, and we were unable to get the door to shut as the metal piece was stuck and would not move. What appeared to be an easy move in process turned to be a fiasco. Not to mention that we paid and were billed a week in advance of when the unit was needed for the easy of move in and free lock and that did not happen. I even called to alert that the bill stated the move in day was listed as the day I paid, not the day I selected on the form, i was told it was not an issue, it was all set on their end, it clearly was not.

I was charged $20 for not returning 3 moving blankets. Sad. And to make matters worse, I was charged an additional day for truck rental even though I had three more available days. Thankfully, the U-haul 800 number was able to credit the truck, however they could not address the blanket charge and advised me to contact the local store. But when I call the local store, the call rolls back to 800 number. This is not exactly the way I would manage the local U-haul office. I might check the contract more carefully to make sure I don't over charge the customer, or maybe reach out to a lifetime customer about 3 misplaced blankets before charging the full amount. Instead, I have to spend time straightening out the silly mistakes and remove years of positive U-haul experiences.

No problems moving in. But asking someone to call or come in every day in an order to reserve a 10x10 room is a bit much. Luckily, it worked out and we got a storage room after driving 11 hours.
