JOSEPH LWhat can I say... I have rented from U-Haul several dozen times over the years. I can tell you those experiences have been mostly transactional..., like walking into a CVS pharmacy for a flu shot. Yesterday, I came to pick up a trailer where my reservation had been moved from Palm Desert to Indo due to the closure of the U-Haul location I had reserved. As you can imagine I was not pleased to have to drive an additional 8 miles to pick it up. As I arrived I was greeted by George, who quickly attended to my reservation. As he was hooking up my trailer he noticed my electrical plug was shorting. He said you don't want to get a ticket and it's not safe as other drivers can't tell when you are stopping or turning, he said "I have another plug. we can clip yours if you have time and get you safely on your way..." I was shocked! Someone who cared! Someone who took initiative... he didn't even charge me! Nate, a young employee came out to replace the plug as George went on to help another customer. As Nate was replacing the plug, ensuring me it would be done quickly and I would soon be on my way, he explained the importance again of the safety. that it should be done. WOW! Here's a kid, 25 years old, just graduated from UW, who played baseball for them, working in the mornings at U-Haul, then going to the local school where he coaches baseball, then afterwards goes and give baseball clinics... Helping me, get on the road safely... for free. A $38 transaction, that if I could package and showcase to 99% of business's on how to treat a customer... these guys just nailed it without realizing they nailed it because that is who they are. When I arrived back to return the trailer 9 hours later, George was again replacing a faulty plug on another vehicle... probably at no charge... If you are a U-Haul executive who is reviewing this comment and want to understand the best case scenario on how to win customers and keep their business, look now further than George and Nate! U-Haul's business is not about renting moving trucks, trailers and equipment... it's about building relationships with customers who come back for the next 20 years! Thank you again, George and Nate for the amazing experience I shared yesterday! I will be back!

MARY CBetter customer service at check in from employee would have made this experience better. The employee simply made a transaction with no guidance on rental. The check in process was much better as the gentleman put side was friendly and attentive. I would highly recommend better standards for employees during the check out process.
JOSE HI didn’t get the guys name at the desk, but he was painfully, Not a personable person.
BRANDON GInside floor of uhaul was very greasy. Black oil or grease. Transferred onto bottom of shoes so when we took my furniture & house belongings down the ramp, the ramp became greasy and we slid. Some transferred to my furniture as well. Told the staff when I returned the uhaul. Very kind staff.

QIN YThe Staff was great. The trailer was beat up and not in good shape. However the tires were new and all the lights worked. The appliance dolly was in really bad condition but functioned as needed.

SCOTT BAfter picking up the rental I drove it home approximately 2 mile and didn’t go over 40 mph. We loaded the rental truck and took off on our trip to AZ. Going out on the highway after 45/50 mph the a/c cut off and shifted to the floorboard so to tell you it was 106 degrees so needless to say it was a bad trip.

STANLEY RMobile pickup was slow and cumbersome. Unforeseen photos to be taken and uploaded. Both before and after pickup. Several needed to be taken more than once for unknown reason.
Steve ZGeorge, the manager on site goes out of his way to make customers feel comfortable and knowledgeable with any equipment rented. For George being there, I’ll continue being a loyal customer.

DOUGLAS CAt first glance, this location was impressive. It is the largest U-Haul facility I have visited. This location has many trucks and a variety them. There is a variety of moving options that look great! Unfortunately, my interactions with the staff left me feeling like an outsider and a bit uncomfortable. To start off, I received 3 consecutive calls from this facility while I was on the phone with my sister. It seemed “urgent” since they kept calling without leaving a voicemail. I decided to hang up and answer “U-Haul”. The gentleman on the phone said he wanted to know when I would be picking up my reservation. When I said later in the day, he seemed upset. The employee just said “ok” but with an almost disappointed tone. I was confused about the harassing phone calls but decided to let it go. When I arrived at the facility the gentlemen were very impersonal and only spoke among themselves. When I thought one of them was talking to me, I asked him for clarification but he just ignored me and waved his hand for me to “go away”. Overall, it felt like an uncomfortable experience. I wouldn’t go back unless I absolutely had to.

MICHAEL MFirstly, our pick up location was changed the night before. When we went to pick up our truck we were able to access entry for the truck. I called customer service and they rerouted me to the original place I was supposed to pick up the truck. I understood but it puzzling. Then we noticed that our gas gauge did not meet with the gas marker on the receipt. Our truck along with the other truck next to us had their gas caps opened. Made me think the gas was siphoned out. We brought it to the workers inside and told us that is an every day occurrence. The employees were kind and courteous and helped us.

ROBERT PWhen I went to pickup the vehicle from the dealer, I noticed that the gas cap was off and that all of the gas had been siphoned out of the vehiicle. The service person mentioned that this happens all the time and told me she would adjust the gas amount on my account. She also stated that I should return the vehicle with a quarter tank and ask for a fuel credit. This did not happen when I dropped the vehicle off in Surprise, Arizona. Can I get a credit for the quarter tank of gas?

Gloria PYou company cost me time and money with you bait and switch techniques. I booked at one location, only to arrive and find out that location NEVER rents that size truck. And, upon searching my spam folder, I saw you switched my pick location to over 15 mikes away. Which cost me more money in mage and time lost. I received my confirmation in an email stating that my order was received and good. So, I saw no need to check my spam folder for you switching my location. I should have received a call to confirm this issue, especially since there was another uh location close to the original site. I would love to complain to someone, but I don’t know how.

We got to the unit and UHaul could not get “their” lock off. 3 employees have tried and myself included. They offered me a UBox and said yes your stuff would fit and after I paid for that and saw it. I just laughed. I got a refund on all the transactions hopefully. Spent 3 hours there and nothing was done. I give it to the staff for trying but I went over the miles on the rented truck what I was going to do looking for another storage unit. Very unhappy and spent more than what I was going to spend on miles, gas and my time. HOT TIP: make sure you look at the unit before you give them your credit card.
