My rental was on a Sunday of a holiday weekend. The minimal staff, although extremely busy, was very helpful, courteous, and efficient. Great customer service!

JOSE LThe computer systems were down which was a problem for the staff. They had to use a backup system to process the transaction which took a long time. They did the best they could. But corporate really needs to fix the computer system because this is not the first time this has happened.

MARY BI had a bad experience with mileage. When returning the vehicle to the location Karen told me that I owed for 96 miles. That was not accurate. My mileage was 14. 167575 to 167589. An extra mile due to road work being completed at the front entrance of the location. I was obviously upset at the location. I do not recall being told to double check mileage but to ensure the vehicle returned with the same amount of gas. No problem, when Karen asked how far I was going I added in a few extra miles and said 20. I put in 3.5 gallons of gas to make sure I was over. Should be good. I pleaded with Karen, asking for her to trust me, maybe try to find the correct prior paperwork stating the correct starting mileage. Anything to prove I only put on the 14 miles and not 96. There has to be a way Karen got that number correct? This all happened in front of my 5 year old child so I had to leave to store to calm down, I didn’t pay because it wasn’t right. Karen said if I left it would go to collections. I sat and calmed down in my vehicle, talked with daughter about the situation. After thinking, I knew I couldn’t have anything go into collections. I went back in and apologized and said I would pay for the invoice but I was still going to call to refute the mileage. Karen said she already sent it to collections. I asked to speak to the manager. He was standing there the entire time, never even brought up that he was the manager to begin with. What kind of customer service is that? A general manager that isn’t going to step in to help with customer service? Let the associate handle a complaint? Weird. He said he agreed with the associate and nothing else could be done. After leaving, I called customer service. Robert took my call. He was an older gentleman. Great customer service skills. He was able to help me. I’ve used U-Haul several times before, I’ve never had a bad experience before. I would still use and recommend U-Haul because of Robert but I will never use this location again and I will publicly alert everyone I know that this location is no good. Thank you for allowing me to rate this location.

sara hI was in a pinch when Budget said my rental wouldn’t be ready until 10:30, (originally 9 reserved time) then called me and said the truck had service issues and couldn’t be rented. I was in my uhaul at 11am, did online check in and just went in to get the key. Same with returning the truck. Definitely recommend.

MICHAEL PI always rent st this location, but this was the first time using online check-in. It was truly an unpleasant experience and I will go back to in-person rentals in thy future. Otherwise, this U-Haul location is great!

I had the unit for 2 days before I said something to the girl at the front desk, she looked for another unit and said there wasn't one anyways. I didnt even want a new unit I want my money back! I'm fed up with the whole experience! And do not want to spend my money on a place like that! And there's water damage on the ceiling above the unit with holes in the ceiling, I have pictures of it all! The girl didn't give my money back but said I could keep the lock...gheeee!! Thanks!!
Jessamin R | Overall ExperienceI had my unit for 2 days before I moved what little stuff I had to put in it. Because getting a dresser or couch in the unit would be impossible or VERY inconvenient. The door to the storage wouldn't open all the way because of pipes from the building in the way. My bigger furniture wouldn't fit because of that(i took pictures)Also the ceiling to my unit has part of the ceiling missing with water damage above my unit. (I took pictures). The front desk lady was going to see about another unit but because I'm fed up with the whole experience I don't want another one and she also said she didn't have another one that size anyway... so that wouldn't have been helpful anyways. Not even a tiny refund was suggested! And I've only had it for 2 days. But I get to keep the lock she said...cool!
Jessamin R | Online Move InWhen I arrived at the storage facility they did not have a reservation for me. After a half an hour of back and forth it turns out they had one available to accommodate me. The storage unit was all the way in the back of the facility and they would not allow us to pull up to the garage door to unload. We had to bring everything down two long hallways. There were no lights above my storage unit and the lights in the hallway were not close enough to illuminate the unit. The contract stated that it was a split level unit, it was not. When I asked the manager about it he said that a small area of about 4 ft was considered the split level area. The size of the storage unit was also smaller than what was stated in the contract. I was given a smaller unit than what I had reserved and charged more per month than I was quoted. I contacted customer service in May and never received a follow up call. I also mentioned it to the manager upon check in and check out and nothing was done to reimburse me or rectify the situation. I definitely will not be using or recommending UHaul for my future moves or storage needs.

I never left my storage unit and yet had to get it reassigned and now my email is being blown up every hour with an email stating to do the survey. It’s the only reason I’m doing the survey right now is to stop all these emails.

kate f | Overall ExperienceI have had 3 recent contacts with the uHaul store in Janesville, WI on Milwaukee St -- I had a trailer hitch placed on my truck, rented a 6x12 trailer to pick up in Colorado and return to this location, and took advantage of the free 30 days storage. We frequently use this location for business matters and have always had good service. The staff that I dealt with during these transactions were exceptional. I was under the gun to get the trailer hitch placed - it was ordered 7-10 days out and still not in when promised - the young man I dealt with called around and found one in Love's Park, a CSA drove down there to pick it up, and they stayed late to make sure the hitch was properly installed. When I was contacted to say the hitch wasn't in, the young man had already come up with solutions and made sure that I knew he was doing everything possible to make this happen. When I returned the trailer and rented the storage unit, the process was quick and painless and he even backed the trailer up for me. :-) Couldn't have been more happy with how things went and the team I worked with! Well done!
