The equipment was faulty!! A failure on my end for not completing a total inspection. AC did not work, drove 1400 miles in hot air totally unacceptable. Alignment was off, and high beam worst than low beam. I’ve had a few good experiences with U-Hall, however. This one could not have gotten any worst.

With my on line rental I requested a utility dolly because I was moving my washer and dryer to a third floor apartment. Upon arrival I was told they didn’t have any available. One of the men helping me move injured his arm helping carry the washer up the stairs. A few days later I was in the same facility and the customer ahead of me needed a utility dolly, the manager of this location told her to go to another location that was a few miles away and tell them that he sent her there to get a dolly. He then told her he would not charge her for it and also allowed her to use some moving blankets free of charge. I could have been given the same courtesy but was not. Extremely POOR customer service!

Double check locks on the truck. We found the passenger door could not be locked or unlocked with the key. But the button lock inside the door did operate. Just made it a bit awkward for the driver to always have to open the door handle on the inside to allow passenger entrance.

My experience with U-Haul has been okay when I did not have to deal with any of your employees. But between the pickup truck in Salem Massachusetts, and the way your employee behave there, to the giving me a smaller room then I had originally booked, even though I explained what I had, but I was able to get a larger room, to picking up a second U-Haul truck to move my stuff out of storage, to your employee who obviously doesn't enjoy her job, to her manager who when I spoke to him about it right after she got off the phone with him, I realize how she felt comfortable doing that because he doesn't care either. I'm hoping I never have to use your services again

The truck was very low standard. The shocks have clearly not been replaced in a long time. I heard my items bouncing around in the back of the truck even when we were going 25mph on smooth roads. It was very pathetic and concerning.

First I decided to stop storing my fifth wheel at your facility because my in-laws agreed to let me store it on their property. The second reason was the RV spaces(in my opinion) are to narrow and cramped. I found it very difficult to maneuver a 33’ fifth wheel into the allotted space. The third and final reason was in recent weeks/months I noticed old box trucks be placed in between the storage units making it difficult at least for me to get around them.

You are the worst company I’ve ever dealt with in my life. I booked a truck a month in advance and then the day to pick up the truck. I have to go to three different locations and they still wanted to give me a different truck I was quoted $1056. I ended up paying over $1300. Your company sucks. I would never recommend you to anyone.

The customer service I received was always first rate. The storage unit I had ended up leaking moisture into my unit which caused two leather couches to mildew. Was not happy about the moisture getting into the unit. I have two other storage units and have not had any issues with leaks at those.

Truck and trailer where not at location requested and no one call to tell me .and truck return was Thursday and no one stated it was the same time that you picked it up, not just Thursday.. control vents for a/c didn’t work and a/c is exhausted to windshield

Every location with U-Haul was very nice to me except the one on Ranchero Drive in SEBRING what an out-of-the-way place to go could hardly turn the truck around and then it was the wrong place was sent to the U-Haul location next to the Circle K on 27 and the lady did not have the trailer either, but was a big help and sent me back to Pawn and that gentleman had two trailers. I had already driven by his location twice he was very nice also but U-Haul is out of my thoughts as far as recommending anything to do with U-Haul because of the schedule Scheduler pathetic drive 35 minutes or 40 minutes and took four hours to get the trailer. I had people waiting to load my truck which were on my payroll .

Every piece of my belongings was saturated with mold and mildew. I'm at a loss and I asked that you atleast compensate me for this. I can not believe the damage that container caused. I spent my whole weekend going through trash to salvage. Me and my Sons lungs and eyes are so irritated its absolutely sad. I asked the Worker there to atleast see if you can compensate me for the truck I rented to get the destroyed items out of there, and a full or partial refund to compensate for my items lost. I had things that are irreplaceable in there as well. I've used you all periodically for years and years but, if this isn't handled properly. I will never be a customer again nor will I recommend. I was told that the 18 wheeler containers were clean and safe for my property. And now look.

I’ve had interaction with 3 different employees at the Prince George VA location and all 3 individuals were amazing. They were respectful, professional and new their jobs well. I appreciate all you do on a daily basis. Thanks for your great customer service. I would like to especially recognize Elijah he is a young man with great customer service and I truly appreciate all his help with getting me set up with my storage space. The gate was broken, the bathrooms were always disgusting and the employees were rude.

Initially, the hours I was able to have full access, in a vehicle, behind the gate were limited due to the gate being broken. I didn't like that, however, I understood the situation and had my items delivered to the unit during the limited access hours. All my interactions with the staff for the rental unit as well as supplies were professional and they were very helpful.

I would have rated excellent on overall experience but the pavement entering and exiting property for first 2 yrs was horrible, pot holes everywhere . In 2023 they did fix pavement going in and out much better smooth and it looks like somewhere you would like to storage your valuables.

The facility is not secure from insider theft. Someone broke the lock on my unit, riffled through my belongings and stole an heirloom lamp. Then put a word lock back on it. Current management couldn’t explain why or what happened. Stupid me, for thinking it was secure. I should have been checking more often.

Management was rude, not answering calls. The hours stated were for 24/7. That was not what I got. I had to hold a Uhaul truck for an extra day, which charged me for that day. The following day I showed up at 9, which was stated on the website and the office door. No one came in until 10-10:30. This set me behind even more. When the manager showed up, he stated the gates will only be open from 5 to 9. This was not communicated to the customers. The staff is doing their job, management is very questionable.

The locking mechanism on my new unit was EXTREMELY hard to put the lock provided on. had to shove the lock onto a small hole really close to the ground.

-I paid for Covered RV Storage with electricity. The entire time I was there the Electrical outlet never worked. I notified the staff multiple times with no change. In addition, there were numerous instances when I would attempt to remove my trailer or park my trailer after use and there was a dumpster in the way of my spot. I complained to the staff and the manager and was told that they could not do anything about it. I had to hook up a chain to the dumpster numerous times to pull it out of the way myself. In all my years of Military travel, I have utilized many different storage facilities, and never have I been treated with gross negligence and disrespect as I was at this location. I will never utilize any U-Haul service again and will encourage others to refrain as well. This was a very underwhelming experience. Our unit flooded out and our items ended up with mold all over them. We had to throw away item in our storage unit because of the mold. Also we were locked in the storage facility because the attendant pad locked the enter/exit gate closed due to the gate being broken. Then we were denied access to out things because the gate was locked after 5:00 each day because the gate was broken. It was a horrible experience and it definitely was not a 24/7 storage place like advertised!!

Email said the unit was ready. I called and was told the unit was ready, and to check in by 7pm to get 24-hour access. I arrived 5:30. The sign on the gate said open until 7pm. The U-Haul app said this location was open until 7pm. The lady at the desk told they closed at 5:30. She was busy with a return. I called again, the Reservation Specialist said there was nothing he could do, and transferred me to the main Customer Service line, at 5:30 in the evening,… wait time 55 minutes. I opened an on line chat, 15 minutes went by with no response in the chat. The lady finished the equipment return. I indicated that the sign says 7pm the webpage and app say 7pm but she said we’re closed. I said, Ok I will cancel the rental. Back in my car, trying to call again, the lady tapped on my car window and asked if I had been to their main office half mile away, that office is open until 7pm,… I said I had no idea, why didn’t you or the Reservation Specialist say that an hour ago. I drove over to the main office. Josh gave me a remote for the gate. I drove back and the gate opened when I pressed the remote. I found my unit and IT WAS LOCKED. I drove back to my hotel in Roanoke Rapids and called again. Wolfgang listened carefully, apologized, promised to take care of everything and to expect an email. So far today no email. If I don’t get a response by tomorrow I will call American Express and reverse the rental fee and mail back your remote.

I made a reservation online. When I arrived they said they had the reservation but weren't sure they could honor it. WTF? What is the point of the reservation if they won't hold the space? Then, in trying to close the rental, they weren't open very late, we had to have a person walk through it (ridiculous), and while in line, there were two people in front of me which took almost an HOUR to get to me. Ridiculously BAD customer service and systems. Needs a lot of work.

The potholes were pretty bad near the storage unit. U-Haul representative tried to charge me extra money for the storage. Which is totally wrong. They took it out my account they put it back in my account and then they took it out my account. Someone is playing around with my credit card number. And I reported it to the fraud department at the bank.

Employee was clueless about our reservation. She said she had it but wasn't sure she could fill it as walk-ins could have taken the one remaining storage unit. I had problems from the time we moved in our belongings. Unfortunately, we stayed at the facility because in was literally 2 minutes away and the easiest to access. However, we had issues with our gate access working correctly several times (having to go get our remote replaced 3 times), our initial move in ( the staff member assigned us an unauthorized unit), the gate always being broken and open, poor communication from the previous staff (phone calls not being returned and misinformation given by staff), a condescending manager and district manager (both had an "oh well. I don't care" attitude), and a broken door to my unit.

I enjoyed the access with a remote gate opener. I was very disappointed to find out someone had stolen the catalytic converter from our RV while it was parked in the ‘secure’ lot. Upon reporting this to UHaul I was told a manager would get in touch which never happened. When I checked out, I reported the theft again, and neither of the two clerks on duty responded.

#5 above: Structures are clean and well maintained. But, there are drainage problems here. A small rain storm had my camper setting in standing water. And, the road, or path into the facility is badly rutted. I left the facility because of the rate increase. There are other more cost effective alternatives available to me. This would be a 5-star facility if U-Haul would spend some money to fix the drainage and road problems.

The move out date is not accurate , I did not move out on 9/25 , and I’m very disappointed that U-Haul does not do a verification of a tenant that has removed his lock , at the same time or after move

Got stuck in mud.Cost $ 200 for tow truck. Later boxed in by another RV; took 1 hr. To maneuver out. just informed no longer have room for storage of our RV (after a yr. there. We are on vacation)
