All information for renting a truck amd payment was made prior to arriving at this site. However, it took more than 45 minutes until I was able to go. There is no Uhaul agent on site, at this location, so everything the clerk does needs to be approved by an "agent" who is not even on site. Not an efficient process. Im not sure if this is how all Uhaul locations operate, but I will not be using this location in the future and possibly not using Uhaul at all.

Never received the call, so had to reach out via chat. Worst part about it, the customer in front of me was able to be fully checked in by the other representative. Not sure why I wasn’t able to either.

JOANNE CI have used this location many times before and it has been perfect. This time I rented a 26’ truck and the low fuel indicator was on. Had to go 50 miles so I had to fuel up. Not the easiest thing to do in a 26’ truck. Was not happy.

Segundo SIt would be much easier to pick up a key at a counter, then to go through all of the work on the website. Once I got the lockbox code, the key was not in the lock box. They had to then scramble and find a truck for me. The truck had extremely loose steering. Could turn the wheel several inches either direction and it would not affect that direction of the truck. Was extremely hard to keep it going straight on the highway on a very windy day. The hired helpers booked through the website never showed up so I had to illicit help from others to load the truck.

JOSHUA JThe car tow dolly I rented had a problem that made the ratchet strap on one side (securing the towed vehicle's wheel to the dolly) inoperable. I used a strap of my own to secure the wheel and completed my task, but it was inconvenient to say the least. I suspect the ratchet strap mechanism is easily bound up and made unworkable unless the instructions on the dolly are followed EXACTLY. In the case of my rental, the ratchet strap mechanism must have somehow been bound up by a previous renter. After trying to fix it for a good 20 minutes, I gave up. I suspect some disassembly of the mechanism would be required to put it in order.
DAVID WI opted for counter check out of the truck. Once I got there I was told I had to use the app. The app was slow, required I enter all my information again, and would not take pictures of the truck before leaving. When I returned the truck I started using the app. A worker came out and made sure everything was ok with checking the vehicle back in. Dropping off was a much friendlier and better experience than picking the truck up.

GREGORY YOnly thing I disliked was having to drive to state road location to get a cargo van because the one I reserved 2 weeks ago at the Columbia location was not returned in time. This caused me to have to pay for more miles when it was not my fault they did not get the equipment I reserved back in time but I also understand it was not uhauls fault either. It was who rented the equipment out before me to blame.

EDWIN PThis was my best experience with a U-Haul location yet. Considering this was the 3rd location in 6 months I've used, the one on State Road was by far the cleanest and nicest facility I've worked with. The van itself was brand new as well.
CALLI NThe unit was clean on the inside, however it was missing a door latch on the one side, quite rusted and it was pretty banged up on the wheel hubs but it functioned ok and we got it returned.
JAMES VThe upload (of pictures) on the app was extremely glitchy and not smooth. The order of operations to reconnoiter the vehicle was kind of silly - walking back and forth to retrieve the key after going out to identify the car - could be more efficient. Overall, however, I was very satisfied.

It was then that I noticed a sticker on the electric box that said the power was timed and only available for a battery tender. So I went to office and asked the front desk guy about this and it was news to him. Was never communicated in their pricing sheet or verbally. Manager wasn’t onsite so I sent her a email - no response. Front desk guy got snarky with me because I was upset and he thought I was “bullying” him. No apology, no recognition of the issue or inconvenience this caused me. Terrible communication and experience. I’m stuck looking for new location to store my RV.

When I arrived to move in, there was a tractor trailer blocking the main entrance and all but 1 of the drive in spots, which fortunately the person in that spot was almost done. So it turned out okay for me but I’m not impressed that the facility would allow blocking all other customers from easy access in order to accommodate a moving company. There were rat/fly traps left in my unit, so now I’m worried about my belongings.
