I rented a truck the first day and a trailer the next day. Expect to wait at least 30-45 minutes to check in. They always seem to be understaffed and undertrained. The truck had some type of sticky liquid in the seat, was only at 1/2 a tank of fuel, and the key was broken in the lock of the door so you couldn’t lock the cargo area. When I went back inside to tell the associate, they knew about it already but still rented out the truck. The trailer had moving blankets (almost 10 of them) just thrown in there which I had to remove to unload my items.
JASON CMy trailer actually had some trash (just a little bit) left from the previous renter. I returned the trailer clean and disposed of the cardboard (used for mixing adhesive), razor blade, small PCS pipe the previous renters left in the trailer.
MICHAEL CA customer serving agent was rude beyond belief. I ended up connecting the trailer myself after waiting 25 minutes on the lot personnel who were standing around and talking. After asking them if they were going to connect my trailer they walked into the garage. Unbelievable. I also didn’t get help when I returned. I dropped the trailer myself and went in to talk with the manager. I asked her to make sure she logged the return so I didn’t get charged an extra day — but later that evening I got a call saying it wasn’t returned. Never again

DANIEL CUpon return of the uhaul the person that received it never even checked it in and we were called later to ask where it was (3 days later). This is unprofessional and ridiculous. We were also promised a partial refund by this person which did not happen. The entire process was a cluster.
CLEON HHave your employees know how to actually tighten down and set up a motorcycle trailer onto a tow hitch. The employee did not do it correctly and upon leaving the U-Haul store, it had popped off of my tow hitch. I got charged the insurance fee for your employee not knowing how to do their basic job.

R RIn about six weeks, I used this location twice. Every person I came into contact with was great. On my most recent visit, I reserved on-line. Pick and drop off both took less than five minutes! They know their jobs and they do them promptly. Don't change a thing, except maybe doing something to recognize the good work the staff is doing.

carlos fCharge the actual advertised price quoted online. At the time of my reservation I was quoted $144. Including the $14 discount for returning the vehicle to a specific location. That discount disappeared from my quote once I was in person. Also I thought this was a charge for the day. But there was a mileage limit. I did not go passed the mileage limit but if there were any detours do to traffic the mileage limit could have been passed. I only had the truck for 8 hours and traveled 57 miles and $178 is a bit of a rip off.
Mark RIt's not my first time during business with. UHaul, only my first time to let with assistance from your staff. In which greatly appreciate their concerns in assisting me without prejudice. I the future if, I need a storage you can believe it will be UHaul. Thanks to your staff accommodation for a customer who need help.

LEVI RI am extremely dissatisfied with the service I received from U-Haul this past weekend. I scheduled my reservation online for pickup on Sunday, which was supposed to include a utility dolly and furniture blankets. However, when I arrived at the U-Haul center, I was informed that there were no utility dollies available. Instead, I was directed to pick one up from another location—45 minutes away. When I arrived at the second location, I was told that I could not simply pick up the dolly as instructed. Instead, I had to create a new contract with them, and I would also be required to return the dolly to their location. This was completely inconvenient and unacceptable, as it forced me to drive additional miles in the rented truck, adding unnecessary costs. To make matters worse, when I called the original location to ask why I was sent on this wild goose chase, I was told that the person I had spoken with "did not exist." I then had to call U-Haul corporate, who refunded me for the duplicate dolly charge but refused to reimburse me for the additional mileage I had to drive to pick it up. U-Haul charges by the mile, yet I was expected to cover the cost of their mistake. I could understand being sent 10–15 miles to another location, but 45 miles out of my way—plus having to return the dolly myself in my own vehicle to avoid even more mileage charges—is absurd. U-Haul should not be profiting from customer inconvenience. All I received from customer service was multiple apologies, but that does not make up for the additional time, expense, and frustration I experienced. This situation was handled poorly from start to finish, and I will seriously reconsider using U-Haul in the future.

Jennifer MMy reservation was with a U-Haul location a few miles away, but when I arrived they told me they “didn’t have a trailer available,” even though they saw my reservation in the system. When they sent me to another location across town, that clerk was simultaneously on the phone with friends or family while giving me just-enough attention to complete my order. The experience at both locations was incredibly frustrating.

KRYSTAL SOur reservation was for the location N Gardenridge (The Vape Store), the young lady there was delightful to deal with. The dolly we had reserved she didn’t have, but gave us an appliance dolly at no charge. The truck reserved for us however would not start. She was so helpful and professional and organized for us to pick up a truck at the Stemmons location. Awful customer service … we asked about the dolly, the lady assisting us told us they had none, we then explained how the young lady had handled the issue and the lady assisting us gave us the appliance dolly but told us we would be charged for it. At drop off the staff were just as unhelpful. This was an awful experience and we will not be using U Haul again. The next time we move we will be using either Budget or Penske.

Purchasing a lock and then having to purchase one from U-Haul solely because it’s not a uhaul branded lock is a bit ridiculous. I get to the unit and try to unload my uhaul trailer after hours to come across not being able to. I had my wife and children ( 2children and a newborn) waiting in y’all’s parking lot trying to get help to get into our unit. Also had to miss work because I had to call customer service multiple times.I call and talk to several customer service people just to get told they cannot help me. Then I ask to speak to someone higher up just to keep getting told that in emergency situations like this y’all have no plan in order to proceed to help your customers. I talked to 3 customer service reps and then a customer service manager. 1) customer service rep hung up in my face. 2) was a customer service rep through the live chat that pretty much had no care and couldn’t help. 3) was a customer service rep who listen and tried to help me to the best of her abilities. She did keep telling me that there wasn’t anyone I could talk to. Finally I got to talk to a customer service manager who was great and helped me every way he could. I still didn’t get access to the storage but he did send out emails. I believe on emergency situations y’all need more plans to help y’all’s customers.

She didn’t even know if the office worker was “down there because she could have sworn she came in and said by a long time ago” even though the website said it was open. I asked if there was a way to go check or call the desk specifically to see and she said “oh sorry she doesn’t have a phone down there so you’ll just have to go see” It was an absolute nightmare picking up our truck with the 24/7 check in and on top of that they never gave us the dolly and furniture cloths we paid for. So getting this call after going through all of that was just the thing for me to never use U-Haul again.

Robin L | Overall ExperienceOnline check still required check in at facility. Staff at facility (Karen/Greg) was professional, positive, and most helpful. Avg rating for this reason. Though I have 24-hour access, system did not work after hours. Created a huge problem with a 26ft truck with with furniture to move in. On June 3 at 11 PM at night I had no other recourse but to stack up the truck and my home garage because the truck needed to be returned the following day. Not at all happy about that incident. That night when trying to gain access, there was another customer there experiencing the same situation. Though he called the contact number there was nothing U-Haul could do to reset or to provide entry. I also contacted U-Haul to which they informed me that there was nothing they could do to give me access after hours. This is a situation that you have needs to seek to resolve. When you have a full truck of items that need to be unloaded, you must definitely need 24 hour access that was agreed-upon in the contract. However the next day when I return to the facility, Greg research and determined that he could not explain what happened the previous evening. He tested reset and tested my card and walked over to ensure it was working. No explanation for the access being denied the previous night. He promised to research and determine if my contract could be extended or what credit accommodations U-Haul would make for the unfortunate experience the previous night.
