There were termites. Rats. And wire at the top separating the units vs Completely enclosed. I saw wire clippers in the unit as if someone was trying to get into my unit. I moved out on April 14th. I went to the office before close to let them know. They did not process my leaving. I called to check for my refund and was told they don't pro rate. I let then know I moved out. That was in March. Then I kept getting charged for April even though I don't have storage there. I had to call again and explain again I've been gone. Super bad service.

When modifying reservation the customer needs to know the extra charges they could get. I extended my truck and was never told how much extra it would cost. This is sneaky and not professional at all. I was on a slim budget and if known the amount extra I would have to pay I would not had extended.

I used the uhaul app and it asked for a copy of my driver's license after I already uploaded it and the app stated the wrong return time---so I was thinking I'd get charged for another day. Other than those two things, the service was excellent, the pick up took less than 10 minutes and the drop off took literally seconds. You did a fantastic job at helping our move be seamless. Hats off to you Lompoc! And, Thank you.

Just a comment about the design of the 6x12 utility trailer with ramp. The ramp is constructed of diamond mesh and steel plate. Debris tends to collect between the diamond mesh and steel plate and can be hard to clean.

I've rented trailers for my business twice from this location and each time, I've had the best customer service. I've rented in California, Oregon, Michigan and Wisconsin and by far this place has the best customer service I've found.

Why do we get nickel and dimed and some confusion happened and we were charged almost $300 for a one day trailer rental that is terrible and ridiculous never using your services again we barely have money to pay mortgage and your charging $300 for a one day rental of just a trailer just awful

Would be nice if the person working the desk walked out the vehicle with me the vehicle I was initially supposed to take wasn't there it was locked up in the back so she got me a new set of keys and didn't go out with me again told me the wrong amount. Of gas so I returned it with extra gas when not needed but quick experience which was nice I suppose.

I was a little disappointed due to the fact that I asked the employee how much I owed and she told me that I already paid. I was confused because when I reserved the 10' truck I thought I was going to paid $19.95 plus miles for only a one wat trip and the employee told me that the $19.95 is only for "in-town". I was not aware of this "in-town" rate until I actually went into the website to search for "in-town rate. Needless to say I was very disappointed that, when renting the actual truck, it did not show any options for in-town, one way or even round trip prices. On the website it only gives the prices and miles of $19.95 and miles of .79 per mile when reserving a vehicle. It would be nice if customers new exactly what to expect when renting a truck. I definitely was upset to find out that uhaul was charging me a flat rate for a one way trip. Which I was unaware of. I guess it is what it is. At least I now know for the future and can let people know just in case they aren't aware.

The GM was extremely helpful in clearing up the mileage mistake made by Santa Barbara Towing. I was delayed getting back on the road to the airport because of the situation, but he was extremely helpful and I’m very thankful for his efforts.

GM for that location is awesome, it's my third time renting from there. I will say that I reserved online to a location closer to me, but apparently it doesn't exist. If a location doesn't rent trucks, it shouldn't come up on the search.

Contract started on the 28th and payment was deducted on the 28th afterwards. On 8/24/24 when attempting to evacuate the unit we were instructed that this needed to be done over the phone with the 800 number. I called the number and was told that it can only be done in person. I was assured I would receive a call from the local manager on 8/25/24. I did not receive a call. On 8/28/24 I was charged again. On 8/28 just minutes after receiving the charge, I called the 800 number and was told this needed to be corrected through my bank. I called the bank and was told I needed to dispute through the local business. The Lompoc manager then insisted I give him my credit card number because the card was no longer in the system because we had terminated the account. I notified him about what the 800 number suggested and I recommended we wait until the bank cleared the dispute. The Lompoc manager insisted he needed my credit card to issue refund. The bank then credited my original card and I needed to have the payment Javier issued, cancelled as I explained it would cause a double discrepancy. Javier then refunded the amount to my new card and now the bank dispute has been cancelled as they claim I already received the payment. Javier remove the payment issued to my new card on 8/28. I need my $280 back now

It was a great storage facility, mostly clean and easy to access. I appreciate the staff, although sometimes the office is left alone. It'd be awesome if there was a bell or something. The bathroom was pretty gross, especially the floor. The only reason we left though was because of the multiple price increases.

Had an emergency come up Friday afternoon. Thankfully a van was available. I was in the driver seat 30 minutes later. Quick check-in. Can was great. So much power and easy to drive. Got to LA and back with no problems. Not a big deal and beyond your control, but would be a nice bonus to Bluetooth to stereo. But not anything major. I was able to plug my charger in (great feature) with normal charger and just played my podcasts through iPhone speaker. Staff, location, van, all perfect.

Many thanks to Javier with all his help as we finally closed up on our mother's materials in our U-Haul unit. I do have to take a moment to say I appreciate his help even more as we were tennants in this location even BEFORE UHaul owned this location. Under his management, the place looks amazing, so much better than it did when we arrived with the previous owners. That, combined his wonderful guidance and assistance as we concluded our rental, was off the charts good. Props to him for running such a well maintained facility, but also with our tennant support that was above and beyond. Having been a former senior executive at a major corporation, I would certainly recommend him for higher positions. Many thanks again to him.

1. For our indoor units, one or both Elevators are Out Of Service nearly every time I go there; I'm in a wheelchair! Replace your elevators if you can't keep them repaired!!!! 2. Our outdoor-access storage unit is always filthy inside because it's inadequately protected from wind entry. 3. Customer service from the employees is the reason why I ranked this facility Above Average. 4. Please stay open longer on Sundays.

My only complaint is that dust gets into my unit and all my belongings are covered in dust maybe even ruined 😔 because of the dust and outside elements exposure. For the amount of money I pay every month, the dust should not be such an issue inside my storage unit. But aside from that I have no complaints, all the associates are great and I have always had great service, easy access 😀, always feels secure!

I haul representative was fabulous. The ONLY things that could have improved my experience are: 1. Lower pricing. 2. Perhaps the office attendant could have acknowledged me walking into the office, and said, “ good afternoon sir, I will be with you in just a moment. Or hello, I will help you as soon as I finish up with these customers.” As it was, I just stood in the office and waited my turn, which was fine. Staff was polite and helpful. Overall, everything was great!

I hadn’t accessed this storage unit much and when I finally did to remove my things, there was an unacceptable amount of dirt, and dust that had blown in from up top and from the other units. I understand this is difficult to avoid in the area we live in, which I why I didn’t get upset at you guys. But it still stunk to have to remove all the dirt and debris from my items.

Automatic doors that do not work consistently and require you to pull open/push closed by hand—leaving the unit areas unsecured and when staff are notified the only response is “we don’t know why it does that”. Chunks of tire scattered throughout parking lot, never enough carts ( they have 3 when there are supposed to be 6), Never well lit in indoor storage area , staff are rude and dismissive, Elevator lift is a hit or miss, last, but certainly not least, you continuously increased rent to the point it is twice the original amount ( when prices inside your sales office reflect original price) DURING A PANDEMIC—you offered NOTHING new or improved to warrant an increase in rent, heck, you couldn’t even consistently provide “Included” services/items.

Never have a ever had such a bad experience. Manager is not interested in being a manager and based on her level of professionalism it shows. I just can’t believe this place is allowed to be ran like this. PEOPLE LIVING AT THE UNITS!!!!! I have rented Uhaul storage before in way worse areas and didn’t feel as unsafe and scared as I did here. After a month and having to call her and customer service multiple times, wait on hold for hours, my issue was finally resolved. Not because the manager wanted me to have a good experience, but because she was forced to deal with my issue because I called again. When we spoke she couldn’t even take responsibility for the condition of her location, she just blamed the employee for why she hasn’t reached out to me or why the area was so bad. Be a adult and do your job it’s not the hard. I promise. I found an amazing and safe storage in Goleta. $50 more, but worth it to feel safe and not scared. I will never rent a unit from a uhaul storage again after this.

Most of the time I was blocked by some piece of parked machinery or crated storage, a staff member blocking the entrance with golf cart getting washed, or customer blocking exit, 2nd exit closed.

Had small issue with the gates not allowing access after office closing, even to allow one to leave! Maybe the gate should allow one to leave 15-20 minutes after closing, but not enter?
