All encounters with staff were courteous and helpful. Truck worked well. For some reason I was charged $13.50 for fuel, even though I made sure it was the same. Unless you give it to me full, how can I know that I am not putting too much or too little fuel in???

I rented a 10ft truck for just 3 hours and drove only 19 miles. The advertised price was $19.95, but I ended up being charged $93.01! They added a $25 cleaning fee just because there was a little bit of mud — nothing major. On top of that, they charged me $18 for gas even though I only drove 19 miles. How does 19 miles of gas cost $18? This felt like a total ripoff. I will never go back to this location.

The site did now offer any discount or money back from what happed with me purchasing two $20 pad locks, or discomfort in what I went through with the equipment driving home thinking the car will come off the tow. They just informed me and said the other site did not take good care of their equipment.

The staff was fantastic and even allowed me to upgrade to a larger trailer on site. When renting a trailer, it was not very clear which size ball hitch is required. This should be displayed more prominently when reserving the trailer. I have two hitches at home, a 2” and a 2 5/16”. I brought the heavier larger hitch to pick up the trailer, unfortunately it was too large. Luckily this location had the correct size hitch but I had to rent it. Had I known what size hitch was required I would have brought the proper size.

The customer service at both pickup and drop-off was disappointing. I was not greeted upon arrival at drop-off, and the assistance I received at pickup was minimal. Additionally, the instructions provided by staff made me feel confused and unclear about the process. The self-service system, intended to improve efficiency, was actually quite time-consuming. Furthermore, I was not reimbursed for topping off the gas tank. I received the vehicle with a 9/16 tank and returned it full, but received no reimbursement. This raises concerns about the effectiveness of this policy, as it's unclear how customers are expected to accurately match the gas level upon return.

Our experience was great. One of the employees at the Manassas Park branch was really helpful. his name was Hunter. Hunter helped me through the reservation process in renting a truck from the Manassas Park U-Haul store at such short notice. The truck that my wife and I got was really clean inside the cab and also in the back of the truck. hunter was an excellant employee.

I had to call and chat and do a lot of contacting because I still see on the app the trailer is active after 3 days of dropping it. They can do a better job by worrying about their costumers. Costumers may not have time to contact you to just do your job. Also on the U haul app it's not a good app to use I couldn't check in or out this trailer. I'm a pervious google worker who spent years working in tech and I tell you your app is not good enough to keep it for this big company. You can upgrade it or find new company to do for you better app

I was disappointed that I was charged 2 full days fees for an appliance dollie that I had from 1:30 pm on Sunday and returned on Monday at 09:30 am. I was told because a time was put down for return (four hours) I was charged for two days. That was not explained at the time of rental. I would not recommend because that is an expensive non disclosure.

There was a younger, slim black employee who helped with with hookup and drop off. I have to say, he was the most pleasant, professional and personable person I've ever dealt with. Super positive, always smiling, and helped me throughout the entire process. I've rented a bunch of uhauls over time and the process has always been fairly seamless but I must say this gentleman just made my day. Kudos to him for having such a great attitude.

The outside of the pickup truck was quite dirty, which I usually wouldn't mind, but the bed (where we put our furniture for moving) was absolutely covered in bird poop. The oil also needed to be changed, as indicated by an alert inside of the vehicle, and the oil gauge was all the way at zero.

Nothing. The truck I rented was unsafe for travel let alone to be rented. The rear left outside wheel almost came off while I was driving. When I pulled over to inspect the wheel there were only two of the eight lug nuts remaining. The other six had broken off, three of which had been broken off for at least several days if not weeks. I called U-Haul roadside service, a mechanic showed up two hours later. That mechanic traveled over an hour to come try and fix the truck. The mechanic could not fix the truck so several hours later we were towed to a garage/mechanic located twenty minutes from where we broke down. That mechanic explained had he been called first he could have fixed the truck and had us back on the road quickly. When the truck was finally fixed eleven (11) hours had gone by. I was traveling with my 14 year old son, we were stuck in a parking lot or garage for 8 hours before we got somewhere warm. The temperature was in the mid 20’s and very windy. We finally got back on the road the next day. I am very dissatisfied and disappointed with this experience. No one contacted me after this ordeal, which could have had a catastrophic outcome had I been driving at highway speed and the last two lug nuts failed. I know the photos and mechanic reports have been logged in the U-Haul system so this is all documented. I have rented U-Haul vehicles for thirty years, the fact no one contacted me to discuss this situation is unacceptable.

I have had this storage unit since 2015 and I moved out of it on 4/27/2023. My billing cycle is the 20th of every month. I asked the office staff prior to moving out (I stopped by the office on April 19th, 2023) since I was moving out one week after the billing date if the rate would be prorated and the office staff told me yes, but the owner would have to take care of it and that he had seen him do it for others when they closed out their account. When I went to office to close out my account, I encountered Robbie Necessary who apparently was the owner. He was more concerned with telling us how he could have matched the price on the truck we had to move (as we went with one of your competitors because the rate was so much better) and that when we needed another truck he would give us a discount since we were such good, long term customers. When we closed out the account, Robbie did not provide me with a close out receipt and when I asked about the proration, he told me no, that he did not prorate. I asked him “so, I’ve only had the storage unit for a week and I have to pay for the entire month?” He was dismissive and told me “sorry, that’s Uhaul’s policy” and walked away. I told him he needed to make sure that he educated his staff because that is not what I was told a week ago. He wanted me to describe who I spoke to and when I did, he was adamant that everyone i described didn’t work for him and walked away from me again. He was more concerned with talking to a young female that was behind the counter with him. He made it a point to tell me and my husband that he looks after her like “her daddy”. I found that to be very disturbing. I also believe it is completely unfair that I am being charged for an entire month when I only had the unit for one week. I will be following up with a call to the corporate office on Monday.

I had an issue with the timing of my rental unit because of a unforeseen medical condition. When I called thinking only a manager could handle my problem and expecting a lot of rejection and red tape but it wasn’t so. MUCH to my surprise, your worker “Rico” helped me immediately and told me what needed to be done. She was absolutely helpful/professional and so was the counter guy when I came to the store. The site in Manassas sent me to this location, l was very happy to hear what l needed would be available , however the computer was down and although l had a reservation number and really wasn't in a big hurry it took forever. They also couldn't get the access card working so l had to keep putting the number in and that took time . They forgot to give me a lock and l was called later to be inform that my rental for the first month is free but they were unable to put the money back on the card.

It is strongly recommended if you visit and ask questions in person. Of course, I couldn't answer the phone because there were customers in the office, but I hope that Johnny's operating system will be changed by a good-natured and kind manager. No matter how busy the office is, any employee can simply “pick up the phone directly and say a short guide.” If you ask for your understanding, please wait for a while. .” Obviously, a very important and sure fact is that most of the customers who have already visited the office in person can wait for their orders while watching the situation in the office. However, if one of the employees does not answer the phone indifferently even though it is urgent or to come or simply to ask a question, it is not possible to see the feelings of the customers who made the call in the office. It will spread to other future guests. I hope you will consider it carefully. Thank you.

I actually used a UHaul storage facility AND another storage facility that was close to my home. I spent a lot of time kicking myself, that other facility was not easily accessible during the snow and ice storm. They had a hand cart that was primitive (the handle kept coming off). . I felt concerned due to the lighting while in the other facility. I kept saying *NOTE TO SELF* **ONLY USE UHAUL FACILITIES IN THE FUTURE**.

Manager on duty took me to all three desk areas. All three signature machines were broken and they refused to let me record my signing of paperwork. They cancelled my unit and called police although I was reasonable in my request. This place needs to be reviewed and major changes needs to be done here. Would not recommend it to anyone. Management is terrible they need someone who knows how to tend to the store and needs to know how to talk to customers also it's supposed to be a client control and alot of my stuff was missed up.

I was VERY pleased with the service provided by the staff and the accommodations provided with the storage. Also, having the moving carts provided at no charge was a HUGE surprise and totally helped limiting the amount of time it took to unload the UHAUL truck and put things into storage. Thanks again!

The only reason why I gave it 4 stars was because the 24 hr access door was broken for quite some time right when we really needed it. However, most of the 4-star rating is really because of the staff, especially Leo! They were always very helpful and friendly. They are really the reason I would recommend that particular facility.
