The White Bear Lake location was not my original scheduled pick up location. It was Oak Park, and my U-Haul was not ready or available to take. That was very disappointing. But then I called the 1-800 number and they connected me with the White Bear Lake location, which did an awesome job.

I was charged gas and fuel service fee when I was told (when picked up the Uhaul) that I can leave the gas tank close to how I got it. Fee is $51.15. So, I called Maplewood customer service and talked to George (the supervisor) to see if he would be kind enough to waive my gas fee as it's an inconvenience for me to fill the tank before I even can use it. George said Uhaul policy. BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE. I WILL NOT RECOMMEND THIS LOCATION to anybody.

We made reservations online. Everything was set. I get a call saying they didn't actually have what I needed. So they helped me get new reservations. I was fine with this. Then come to find out they switched our time slot. We started to get harassed. Not one or two calls. But like 10 in regards to our drop off time. We explained the situation. And said we are rushing back as they had another cutmatomer waiting. They continued to harass us. They where rude and unprofessional on the phone and in person. I spoke to the manager at the Hiawatha location and he assured me they don't fine for being late. We dropped off the trailer as soon as we could. Upon receipt we found we where charged for a another 8 hours. If we would have known we wouldn't have rushed. The least they could have done is let us know on the phone.

1st rented for 24hrs then called two hours later talked to the same guy I got the rental from and said needed for extra day he said no problem. We returned it the next day at 5pm talked to this young white kid and told him it was supposed to be back next morning he said no problem he would fix it and pro rate it I said thank you so much. I got email with bill and it was not rite I called up this rude women almost got me out of the church and into my old me . She said I was lying this young man never said nothing My son was there and have him on video saying this. The way this women spoke to me me is very unprofessional. I am a business owner and if any of my employees ever were this disrespectful they would be gone but that's my company. I will say the gentleman who rented the U-Haul out to me was very kind .

This location has a pretty bad customer service and aren’t quick enough, they need to check their system because this had happened again, where I have rented the same exact location where I couldn’t upload my license, they need new associates at the store or have the whole store go through a retraining process, 4 of their vehicles have graffiti and are pretty open, especially to a highway so if that happens, then it’s easily to break inside and access the vehicle vehicles.

We were given a truck with a huge crack in the windshield that stretched the entire length of the windshield. I expressed concern and was told “it’s fine.” Then, as we were on our way to our destination, a state trooper pulled us over and was going to ticket us for driving with this crack. Very upsetting!!

I was originally supposed to drop off the trailer at this location but while moving I was notified to drop the trailer off in Eden Prairie which is almost 50 miles (one way) from my intended location. The folks here said it was ok to drop it here.

George was very helpful and very accommodating. When the lights from my vehicle weren’t working for the trailer, after I got home, disappointed of course, I called and spoke with George, and he was willing to swap the trailer for a 10’ truck. I was very relieved that I would be able to move my stuff into storage that day. George also was working by himself when I arrived just before 1030am which was my pick up time, and there were about 4 customers in front of me. One suggestion I would make to your website is to CLEARLY state that you do not accept CashApp or any other prepaid card, and that it must be either a credit card or a card with a major bank.

The staff at Maplewood U-Haul was amazing. They were very patient with my questions and extremely helpful in getting us in to the storage unit, returning of the trailer, and emptying and vacating the unit. Very good service.

I have rented and had storage with these people for tha past 6 months. I was told that I would get partial payment back for my storage unit, didn’t happen and I need that money. I was also told by owner that upon renting the U-Haul which I had a deposition that I could pay cash. They denied me when I went in. I want my account credit back half of December for storage rental and some compensate for being lied to. I will make this public if it does not happen!

The people were wonderful and super helpful, but I will never recommend U-Haul to another person looking for short term storage. I paid for a full month 2days before I moved out. I talked to the office and U-Haul's policy is to NOT REFUND ANYTHING. Absolutely ridiculous that I paid for a month and moved out a few days later with no prorated rate. Never again.

First off, my first truck was dirty, still had someone else's garbage left behind, my second truck had a leak and it was raining so my belongings got wet and last but not least, my storage was not what I requested - I received the smallest unit you had for my one bedroom apartment which let me having to find additional places to store the rest of my belongings - 2 separate places. Placed a call to HQ and no one has followed up. Additionally, I was just charged 200.00 for a truck that was 30.00 plus mileage - I only went from St Paul to Bloomington and back. I would like someone to follow up.

They were very helpful. Just one thing, I understand that it's winter and it's hard to keep up with the snow but the ice in front of the door of the storage is awful. Please put salt or sand down. I made several trips back there and I couldn't stand on it to get my things in the car. Just letting you know. Overall excellent.

Not pleased by the fact that my access was denied at a time when I needed to get to my storage items and had help with me to facilitate moving items. Being denied access was inconvenient, embarrassing and very annoying since my payments were received and cashed. What I can only assume was a clerical/recording error that prompted my denial of access, and required me to come to the facility to prove I had NOT authorized closing my account. Absolute cluster of terrible to non-existent customer service. They gave me the wrong lock for my "free" month of storage only to return three days before checkout to find other locks on my locker and no one had a key! It took me calling every single uhaul number in existence to get a hold of the marketing company executive assistant who helped me find a way to get their lock off because not one other person gave any kind of a s*** and were not shy to tell you. The marketing company president and gm of the location never even turned up. I will continue to get my experience shared to corporate quality control.

I was very pleased with how clean the facility always was. The first couple of years I wasn’t impressed with the customer service. You could be in the office and the workers would act like they didn’t see you till they wanted to. When working with people an acknowledgment goes along way. The last couple days of cleaning out my unit I dealt with 2 of the workers there. Both were very helpful and nice. One of the gentlemen came off of his break and helped me check out when I had questions about one of the online checkout steps. He then checked me out right in the office. Threw conversation I found out he was the manager and the old staff was no longer there. With the new staff I would totally recommend this facility 100 percent.

I have used storages for many years. All of my interactions with the manager and various staff at this location have been very respectful and courteous. Other than the occasional delays due to staffing restraints, they managed to promptly resolve any issue or concern I may have had. The current manager and staff were responsive and they seem to be very dedicated and hard workers, Overall, my experience was very good to excellent. They called me a week ago, just a few days after I got the unit, and asked if I'd moved out. I asked why they'd assume that and the guy said, "because there's only this round thing left in your unit". Just days after renting the $129 space, the uhaul employees opened my rented space!! I just can't believe it. NOW to the best part. The monthly rental was effectively ended abruptly by uhaul as soon as that Wagon Wheel Chandelier has been moved out. I received half a month and they sent me a move out receipt THAT I DIDN'T AUTHORIZE.

As soon as I dropped my insurance my unit was all of a sudden after a yr of storing my things was infested with mice. I had to throw away my $1000 mattress that I only had for 3 months before I had to store it. The manager was very rude when I told her about that.

I stopped by on February 3, 2021, the purpose of my visit was to rent the adjacent unit. My experience with the young lady Ronai (excuse the spelling) was not pleasant. She was borderline rude and condescending. I did not appreciate the way she spoke to me, as her elder I felt she lacked respect not only for the job but for me as a consumer. I rarely feel the need to send negative feedback, I get it when someone is having an off day, but in this instance, my observation was that this behavior was not a one-time occurrence. However, I do feel that Ronai has the potential to be an awesome young lady and future leader if only she learns not to have such open and obvious contempt for those around her. Thank you, PMFO

I got charged $20 because the app didn't work for picking up my location when I went to drop the van off. I even called after hours and no one responded. Also got charged $20 for $5 worth of gas. I was too exhausted to fill up the minimal amount as I had worked all day and had a finite amount of time to move heavy and many items only to do it all again the next day. Uhaul shouldn’t expect renters to refill tanks. Or at least penalize them terribly when they can’t. The space is also too small for 195.00 a month . When I checked in the clerk only gave me the rental vehicle and didn’t notice I was renting a space. I am severely disappointed.

At 1:30 I realized I needed more “room” for my move. Within 30 mins I had left, rented a truck and was back home loading it. Then, the next day I was able to unload the truck into the storage area. Clean, convenient and well maintained. Thank you for solving my moving issues on the fly!

Confusing service with uhaul. Kept getting sent to different locations. None of their staff was not trained on how to remove our trailer at final stop. My driver had to show him how to do this, and then do it himself. Very odd. Obviously, need to be trained on your equipment. Told me I was at the wrong location. Had me call my insurance agent, then lost all the info. Manager had her put down a fake insurance policy number. Very unorganized, but very friendly. Need training on their equipment. Not professional at all there. Talking about getting high before work. Manager eating while talking at the desk. They all said things, I would not allow in my business. Including the manager. Staff needs to be trained on being professional and organized. We were surprised to find that at Uhaul.
