The car trailer was dirty, and the ratchet mechanism for the tire straps was very hard to use due to the buildup of dirt within the strap and mechanism.

Janette RWe reserved a storage location, but on arrival, none were available. They had been given away. Apparently, you must pay ahead to assure the reservation, but we assumed, based on the web site, that we would settle all accounts on arrival. One employee was dissmissive and nonchalant, although another was helpful in finding an alternatve site.

Jane BI spoke to two people on the phone before going up to my local U-Haul. I told them exactly what I needed. I was going to tow an RV 10 miles and it weighed 5800 lbs. They said they didn’t have any pickup trucks but I could rent one go the larger trucks. When I get to U-Haul to pick up the truck, I reiterated what I needed the truck for. When I went to go pick up the RV, I drove the U-Haul a total of one mile round trip. The ball for the hitch was the wrong size. Also, the U-Haul didn’t have a trailer brake controller. I wasn’t allowed to drive the RV off the lot because it is against Michigan law for a vehicle of that weight to pull the RV without a brake controller. I took the U-Haul straight back. I explained everything that happened. So I was still charged for using the U-Haul that I couldn’t use even thought I told three people what I needed it for and it was unusable.

JEFFERY RFirst of all, I left a message for the manager to call me and s/he has not - maybe he didn't get the message. On the day I came to get the truck the woman acted like being late was a crime against the nation, even though I was the only person there and they obviously had MANY trucks available. I was supposed to return it by Monday at 9:45 AM and got a call soon after that some man said I had to return it because it was due for service. Not MAINTENANCE, but service, and I had to return it right away. I objected strongly and he said he would check. Soon thereafter some other man called and said it was fine to keep it. Of course, as it is right in the contract that you can call and extend the use if necessary. The front office people need some SERIOUS training.

Jeffery DThis second time we rented a truck the App still did not work very well, but we did not have as many problems. Since there were not a lot of people moving we had some flexibility and were able to get access to the truck earlier and keep it later than needed. The winter weather did not make moving fun, however, the staff at this location was amazing and helpful.

Then cuts a customers second lock off storage unit because they need to know when we are in and out of our unit. So they put second lock on of theirs and makes customers go in the office pick up the key and then has to drop off the key once you're done. If I had more time to research storage places it would not have been this particular one!!
