ALAN HI live in Auburn, Al. I very much wanted to have a motorcycle trailer for a long weekend. there were none available in my local area. In Newnan,they had two. I drove 280mi to avail myself of the use of these excellent trailers. the persons I dealt with were unable or unwilling to have one brought to my local area although I know for a fact that this has been done in the recent past. the performance of all persons was beyond excellent so much so that when I returned the trailer on the 4th leg of my journey, the entire process was less than 5 minutes. I don't believe the pony express could have done better. However, maldistribution is a major issue. I had zero success in having a trailer brought to my local are for my use. In the event that the Auburn,Al office would have significant use for a trailer in my local area.Thank You

DARNELL MOutdoor unit was full of spider webs and active spiders; soft roof appeared to be dropping which could cause damage to stored items. The young man who rented this unit to me did not even take me there to view it before making the swap! He left me at counter, took a key, said he'd back. The next interaction was with a female rep. She completed the paperwork. When I realized that the condition was so dirty, I asked for an inside unit and spoke to Lisa over the phone the morning of 5/4. She was very nice and completed a sweep of available 10 x 10 climate controlled units because larger ones were outside. When I arrived at approx 12:25 PM, I heard a greeting as I approached the counter. Three women representatives were there, two looking at something that appeared to be a phone, no acknowledgement; the other open to help but she was not friendly. She told me I was already set up into the unit that Lisa assigned me; that my key was good and needed no reprogramming, but everything was not ready. I had to retrieve my lock from the outside unit. My card denied access. I didn't have an access code that could be keyed in although I tried using the unit #. After several intercom attempts I called by phone to get someone at the office to help. She came down to let me in but did not stay nor escort me. After getting the few items out of 235, I drove out only to find I was unable to get passed the gate. Card denied. Called the office, rolled. Called the office, rolled. Called the office, again automatic recording. I backed up to be in view of the office in case she was looking to help me while I called the main UHaul Central and got a very helpful and sympathetic rep. She was able to call the office to get help. A different woman (but one who was present at the counter when I first arrived at approx. 12:25) came, nonchalant and unapologetic, continually looking at her phone. Ok. I returned to the inside unit rented only to find that it was locked. By this time, I am not a pleasant renter. I walked from the dock to the office, a nice man was kind enough to allow me to enter the door that they use when exiting the counter to the dock. Asked me what I needed. The young lady who left me without assistance was sitting at the terminal and just looked at me then her phone and didn't say a word! It went downhill from there to where the assist manager was more of a escalation of friction than a solution provider. I did dish loudly because I was angered by the whole experience. It was not my first time at this location. It was not a time to tell customer who was treated poorly that, " I'm 50 years and I don't like being yelled at but here, I'll take you to the unit". I'm expressing my dissatisfaction with the treatment and she is telling me how she didn't like being yelled at. I was not yelling!! I was fussing. I asked her if she was a manager and she said assistant manager and continued to escalate the situation as if it was all my doing. This caused some heated exchange. In hindsight, it may have been entirely orchestrated to get me upset and document the incident. I would doubt if it's on tiktok. The problem with this scenario is that there is cause and effect. The employees failed to do their jobs right Overall, none of this would have happened if everyone did there job properly and acted courteously.

I’ve been with you three years. Everything was on a credit card. I was never late on a payment. I didn’t feel like that was good Customer Service so I left.

FINEST HFirst, the gentleman behind and the counter lacked customer service. As a customer approaching the counter, I had to get his attention before he said anything. It was like a bother when I interrupted him from personal use on his cell phone. Secondly, the inside of the 10 ft cargo truck was dirty and had a bad smell. I had to use Lysol cleaning wraps to clean the truck interior surfaces before driving off the lot. It was ridiculous. Thirdly, it appeared I was given the worst of the worst trucks on the lot. Three of the four tires on the truck appeared to be at or pass wear. Thank goodness I didn’t have to go far on it.
Darren HThe staff is superb, both professional and friendly. That always goes a long way. When accessing the location from the Hwy 154 side, there's another building that has a U-Haul sign. Turns out it's a plumber and not the main U-Haul office. It seemed like it was a pretty regular thing for them to deal with the confusion. I'm not sure if you all have any control over that, but it could be worth looking into rectifying.

The employee, at that location, didn't tell me that the installation was scheduled for a different U-haul location. I didn't think, to look at the address for the installation, until I got home. It would have been helpful if he had asked me if installation at a different location would be all right. The installation went well. The general manager, Chris, even removed an old trailer hitch ball and installed my bicycle rack, onto the new receiver on my Ford F-150.

It was extremely convenient to pull under the shelter and the guys came out and greeted me, looked up my info, and one other guy unhooked the trailer. I was finished in five minutes. Very nice facility. I will definitely use this particular place again.

Michelle HThe van was almost on empty when I picked it up. I had to put gas in it before I started my trip, and it makes it difficult to know how much gas to put in it when you return it. While I was driving, the sun visor broke and fell off and into my lap. This could have been very dangerous.

I think it was explained but I may have missed it. Another employee was helpful and explained it after I set off the alarm. Lastly I accidentally put my access card near my phone and lost access. Called the after hours/emergency number and they weren’t able to help me right then (reasonable) but gave me a new card the next morning. All in all happy with the process and customer service.

The person who assisted me took the easy way out and put my husband's name on my profile and used his and my brother's contact info due to the autofill popped up when he put them in as my "reference". Therefore whenever my bill was late they would reach out to them and NOT me, which cost me more money due to fees. When I would call to rectify the issue I was told I couldn't without my husband who is a truck driver and is on the road a lot. However when I came in irate and requesting to end my contract my husband didn't need to be there and I was basically told is was a simple mistake on their end and the extra money I had to pay was my fault. I was refunded/ waived the fees ONCE. However when my bank called recently NO ONE knew the issues and refused to give me my money back. At this point the contract has been terminated and I will NEVER use them again nor refer anyone to use them.

It was supposed to be a 10x10 indoor unit that was free for the first month...in reality all they had to offer was a 5x10 outside unit for $90. The facility had rented the unit out from under me and when we arrived it wasn't available. While the owner/operator Chris did a great job getting us the same rate for a larger outdoor unit to compensate for the indoor climate controlled unit we had reserved, all of our furniture and electronics were covered in a thick layer of Georgia's famous yellow-green pollen and dust when we accessed it to clear it out this weekend. This was very unfortunate and has required several hours of cleaning everything before bringing it into our newly constructed home. Other than that, the rental, price and consistency of the payment process and smooth checkout were painless and simple.

They told me the 10x10x12 was no longer available and if I wanted the 10x10x10 I need to rent it now a week and a half before I needed it or it will be gone. I guess you don’t honor the reservations. I had called a week before to change the date I needed the 26ft truck and they didn’t even have that.

The only downfall would be the cleanliness, the community section was always junky and full of broken furniture. The outside bathroom needed attention. Finally, the trashcan by the exit door was never emptied. I will be back the next time I need a short-term unit. Thanks!

wayne c | First ImpressionsBoth outdoor storage units leaked and damaged some of my items. When I informed UHaul, they said they would inform the manager and I was never contacted for follow up. The computer system at UHaul is horrible. When I first rented the units and set up my online account, UHaul's system linked my account to an old account ten years old, including an old credit card, which it then tried to run for auto pay and of course failed. I was then charged late fees, & a delinquent letter was sent in the mail to my MOTHER'S address THREE states away. When I went to UHaul to correct these issues, they apologized and admitted that their computer systems were horrible. They removed the late fees, but it should have never happened in the first place.

The trash cans in the storage building could have used some taking out, but again, it was around quitting time and I know how it feels to be ready to get off work! Other than the trash cans being full, everything else was clean as a whistle and looked great!

There was no mention I had to pick it up at a specific time. I've had this happen with other storage facilities as well. Not sure why....I did get another truck and to I didn't realize there was going to be an added charge for mileage. It needs to be pointed out during my conversation.

Laura H | Overall ExperienceMy only complaint with u haul Newnan is about a single employee. All agents were busy when I arrived, so I was waiting. This young lady came in to start her shift, she had a thin T shirt with no bra and house slippers, she clocked in and went outside in the shop area and sat down and started smoking. She was still there smoking and talking on her phone after I unloaded a truck and checked out. So I asked another employee about her and what her job was. I was told she had the same job as the rest of the folks at the counter. Why she chose to go outside and smoke instead of helping me while I was in line I do not know. She seemed extremely comfortable ignoring your customers so this tells me she does this quite often. Her dress was completely unacceptable for public work. Her work ethic would get her fired if she worked for me. You are really being unfair to your other employees by allowing this employee to act like this. All your other folks were very professional and very helpful and working their butts off, I feel pretty confident you know exactly who I am talking about and I hope that you address it.

(Like making me walk back and forth in a process when it could be one trip if they just came with me. (Truck rental. ) Then a 1 Star on professionalism. While a 5 and 3 when working with me directly, they are awful when they think they are not being watched. Yelling names at each other scroll lot, etc. they need to be professional the whole time on the clock.

My son asked me to helped him to find A storage unit, so he can move his family home while he deployment. I rent a unit for him on March 7, how every with all Corona viral going on, his deployment got Cancel, I had to cancel the unit the 20th and asked if I can get my refund back, and was told I couldn't get my money back. I just think since we never had a chance to move, none of all stuffed into a storage unit. Since my son is seeing our great National, I was hopeful that the company would consider refunding back to me!
