Most impressive UHaul rental location I have ever been to. Plenty of space, covered storage and more options than I can list. Personnel were great. Seamless drop off.

John KWhile the Newport drop off was excellent. I am not happy that my drop off location was changed. I requested online, on the app, and in person several times to drop the truck off in Symrna, NC and instead of honoring my request it was changed unbeknownst to me to Newport which left me driving another 40 miles out of my way. This was a huge inconvenience.

Bruce FI have rented U-Haul equipment many times, and this drop off was by far the smoothest interaction I have ever had. I appreciated the prompt service from the staff member…he disconnected the trailer within a minute or two of my arrival. I also appreciated the spacious lot, with plenty of room to navigate to the drop off point, and the ability to pull straight out at my departure. I will definitely choose this location for my future returns!

Jeff MThe only complaint I have about my rental experience is about the staff at this location. I had a rental out for quite a bit longer than anticipated due to a family emergency, and renewed and paid up a few days at a time. The last renewal before drop-off, Sheila told me one amount and was attempting to charge another to my card... I was told $46 and some change, she was trying to charge $66. I was then told she was going to write down my credit card information, because she was dealing with a customer and didn't have time to run the card again, so I am unsure if she still has my card info written down somewhere or if she destroyed it. But I only realized why the charge wasn't going through for her, after I hung up the phone and started getting notifications for a $66 attempted charge... so I added additional money to my card to cover the difference. As of today I just received the past due balance email, responded as soon as I saw it, and my entire balance has been paid. I was able to avoid the $30 late charge thankfully, but this would have been avoided entirely if Sheila would have told me the correct amount to begin with, the last day I called to renew. And I have worked in retail and sales long enough to know that you should NEVER record a customer's credit card information for any reason, due to potential fraud concerns.

MARY GI had to exchange the first trailer I picked up as the trailer was incorrectly marked with the wrong width. Front of the trailer had paint that said it was 48 inches wide when it was really only a little over 40 inches wide. This became clear when my lawn mower with a 42 inch deck would not fit on it. I had to return to the location to get a larger trailer.

STUART HWebsite indicated a closing time of 7. We brought the truck in at 6:15 and Ty indicated it was too close to closing to do the actual check in. I mentioned that the heater in the truck did not work and would like to ask if that fact could be used to offset our amount of extra miles. He indicated he would leave a note for the manager. He did not. If he had bothered to check me in, I would have known I was at the wrong location. Instead , I got a reminder call from the correct location in Morehead City looking for their missing truck. Sarah at THAT location went out of her way to keep me informed about the next steps with corporate. She was the absolute epitome of helpful customer service in solving a problem she did not create! Truly outstanding and should be recognized for that.

CHARLES VThe staff was so helpful, especially since I had never rented a u - haul of any kind before. Sue, who checked me in and went over instructions with me, was very professional and friendly! Then when I returned the cargo van after dark, I realized one chair had been left in the van. Unfortunately, it would not fit in my car left on-site to drive home! The staff found rope and helped me put the chair as far as it would go into the back of my car. Then they helped me tie down the trunk door so the chair could not fall out. I don't know the names of the man and the woman who helped me that night before closing, but I so appreciate them, especially since assisting me in extremely cold weather was service "ABOVE AND BEYOND"!!
