I want to give constructive criticism here. The 15ft truck I rented was NOT in tip top shape! Thank gosh I stayed local, within Norwalk & not had to drive far as I would NOT have made it. I could tell there was something not right w/ the truck when I left the lot but I continued. After I dropped off the items & was on my way to return, the truck started acting "funny"; check engine light came on & the noises began. I was 1/2 way back & the truck stalled at a red light. Turned it off & on again & I just made it back but also during the ride back it was as though it couldn't make it into gear & it started to "buck" so to speak. Basically, I asked the gentleman upon my return if they even look at the fluids or change them. I noticed the mileage on the truck was at 132,354. If a vehicle is properly maintenanced, it should not be an issue BUT this vehicle had many issues. I actually like U-haul as I've used them many a time in Stamford & have NOT had an issue but yesterday, Thurs., 18April, I had a big issue. Can you imagine if I was on a long haul & got stuck somewhere? Basic repairs but to me, sounds as though either, the training/transmission needs to be looked at. And she briefly reviewed checklists of various potential scenarios (accident, break-down, return after hours process, early return, extended rental & others) just in case. Jessie also rented us moving equipment that proved quite useful. She politely reminded us about not driving on parkways in CT. And we were delighted with our new Ram moving van. All-in-all, a great experience!

Tim NCharged me for gas even though I over filled the tank before returning, they didn’t answer there phone. I drove back there and they said fuel level was below what I received it. I asked them to turn the vehicle on to show me. When they turned the vehicle on, it was above were they indicated on my return slip. They refunded my money but took up an hour of my time to fix a mistake.

Eileene BJessie is as always, fantastic. At 9 am there were 6 customers lined up for trucks and she got through all of them by 9:20 with precision, humor and professionalism. She kept everyone amused and well-instructed on how to save time on checkout (using the app to scan licenses, providing insurance cards, etc) and single-handedly got everyone through the process. I use Uhaul 4-6 times a year and only go to Selleck Street because of her.

Christopher DIt is a convenient location and easy pick-up experience at this location; however, I encountered an issue with the after-hours return link needing to but not recognizing my location, leading to a $20 fee. This was disappointing after an otherwise smooth rental process.

Ed KI don't care that your catalytic converter was stolen. You should not be renting trucks with a check engine light on. This means that if something problematic occurs. I have no way of knowing if there's something wrong with the truck or if it's just a catalytic converter. Secondly, the passenger mirror was damaged at some point. And when on the road, it simply swings out and is completely useless. Creating an entire blind spot. I pulled over twice to fix it and realized it was not fixable. The truck should never have been rented. It was dangerous. Finally, the windshield wipers were worse than worthless. Things like this are a 5 minute fix. I find it hard to believe that I'm the only person who ever reported that they did not work. They made it harder to see than if I left them off completely. Of course, the employees told me it was my fault. Because I should have checked the truck more thoroughly before I left. I'm sorry, I do not want to rent a truck from a company where I have to check every mirror and the windshield wipers and everything else I am willing to check. For damage but I am not willing to check for road worthiness. I used to rent from you all the time you have lost a customer

Bradford CIf Overall service of the Haul experience is bad (for example it detaches itself from accountability by saying "if Location X used the word "Guaranteed' then you should address it with them), there is NOTHING a new location can fix for the client by not addressing the root of the chaos created for a client during a vulnerable moment such as a move.

Steven JTerrible experience! Was told the store was open till 7 and that was a lie. Got there when the lady on the phone said to and that was at 6:45 only to find out they closed at 5. I was on hold for 25 minutes while I called to get mistakes on their app and website fixed. So I have to do all these steps in the freezing cold to get my truck. Asking me for everything under the sun. Took me 1.5 hours to get a truck. Never again.
