When I rented the truck I was told that I HAD to use the phone App to return the vehicle. When I came to return the truck I tried, for 30 minutes to find where/how to use the Phone App to return the vehicle. Signs all over the yard said I had to use the App or there would be a $20 penalty to return the vehicle if I didn't use the App. I finally gave up, pushed the keys through the slot and left. Turns out there wasn't a $20 penalty for not using the App, at least not on my checkout receipt. If you are going to require a renter to use the app to return, it has to be obvious how to do this, IN THE APP. Such a real waste of my time and emotions. I was very angry by the time I left the lot. Terrible way to treat your customers. Oh, and the truck was not swept out when I received it.

JAMES HI feel I was scammed for the mileage. Picking a vehicle from fort Campbell Clarksville TN to Irvin Cobb Paducah Ky. I was told that I have 103 miles to use on the vehicle. Clarksville TN to Paducah Ky is 83miles, which generally is below the required 103miles. Surprised to get to Irvin Cobb, and I was told I drove 120miles which is technically impossible how ever way you want to look at it. I was charged extra 12$ for this. This is insane.

My only suggestion is; there was a large uhaul truck parked at the front of the parking lot (and I get it, show the inventory available) but it makes it difficult to pull out because it is on a curve and you cannot see oncoming traffic. Perhaps back the tuck up about 10 feet?

MATTHEW LNo issues with this location. However I had tried to do a mobile pickup 2 hours earlier at another location not open on Sunday. The app and website were either very slow or did not respond. I spent much time with customer service without success and they ended up setting a reservation at this open location. The confirm email had the wrong truck size and pick up time but I was able to rent at this location at my preferred time and truck size.

AMANDA GBefore I lodge a complaint with BBB, I hope that you rectify a complaint that we have about order number 14516097. Also, you can make sure the employees are doing their jobs correctly. We picked up a truck and it was dirty and smelled like cigarettes. We were going to overlook that but when taking the truck to load up, the engine light came on. We were moving things from KY to TN so we didn't want to take a chance on the truck breaking down some place between here and there. We got to my aunt's house and called the store getting no answer, so we called customer service. Alexis tried to help us and finally got another truck for the move but by this time we had missed the schedule that we planned, and it put us way behind as we had to work early the next day. I believe that we deserve a break on the cost and should be refunded some of the money we spent. We will probably never use U haul for any moves from now on if this isn't rectified. My aunt paid for the move but I used my credit card so it would be in my name. My name is Tamra Gentry, the driver was Diana Gentry and my aunt's name is Catherine Moore, and her number is 270-331-1385 or 270-534-5636. Also, we had to rent a 20ft truck because someone in customer service told us that they don't rent 10 and 15 ft trucks one way but at the store we were told that they do but they just didn't have any at the time. I hope someone can refund a significant part of the money we spent for the time we missed and the inconvenience we experienced.

AMBER GThe trailer that we got for our rental pulled terribly as if the tires were completely out of balance. I pull trailers all the time and know the difference. The only reason i rented one this time was because i needed a covered trailer. I called uhaul service and they were no help. I asked if i could swap out for another trailer and they said that wasn’t an option. Not happy with having to pull a horribly bouncy trigger 600 miles, ruined our trip. Will not be recommending to anyone, word of mouth goes a long way.

DAVID BAbout the question “was the staff friendly and helpful?”: Friendly, yes. Helpful, not so much. Your employees are only as good as their training. You have 2 men at the counter handling customers, but only one, Deshaun, knew how to use the computer. The other one just sat there unable to assist me until finally Deshaun explained how to log into your website. It took a miserable half hour just to get my reserved storage locker that I had preregistered and set up online. It’s sad that your less knowledgeable employee didn’t receive the proper training to do the job. Maybe it was his first day? I think he could do a lot better if you work with him. I don’t understand how the website indicates access up until 10pm, but there’s no one there after 7pm for a key.

After going through the entire online booking platform, which is a tedious process (as it should be, all the questions and upsell questions are needed) the mobile check in does not present the information as confirming the selections you've already made, but rather they are presented as questions or upsell pop-ups as if you hadn't already made your decisions. Much easier to speak with a person, who could also explain the pricing differences as the booking process auto-adjusted pricing based on the length of your reservation, whereas the mobile check was worded as if you had not selected specific options and needed to make the selection during the check in process.

First off I had to wait for the storage place to open to retrieve the key to get into my storage. I thought they opened at 8:00 they open at 7:00 a.m. so I fiddle around until 8:00 a.m. which was already invading my time space. So the hours are not all that great for somebody's in a rush to move things in when they need to and then on top of that have to go to the office to retrieve a key to open my unit. Then I was told that my unit has been closed out put me into a near anxiety attack. I was beside myself as to what could have happened. I had just been in the storage said yesterday putting things in I told the employee. He proceeded to tell me well I don't know what to tell you you're not in here anywhere. As I said my car was loaded I had to go in whenever it was a convenient for the company's time to be open and I was in a huge hurry to get a friend of mine to a very important doctor's appointment. And my car was totally packed full of things so I need to put into the storage which I waited for the office to open. I waited until 8:00 a.m. I'm thinking that's when it opened. Evidently it opens at 7:00 a.m. under what it does not say that online of course I should have called but I really didn't have time. Everything was taken care of eventually although not fast enough for me being so I wasn't a huge rush and it really caused a lot of problems for the rest of my day. I called the 1-800 number that is listed the first time I called I was put on hold for the girl to reach a manager and they hung up on me. By this time I was totally livid and beside myself thinking great I cannot get into my storage I got my car full what am I going to do? So I took a big breath and I called back again and thank goodness I reached Ann and she was wonderful she walked me through it calm me down and told me what was going on pretty much. The hours do kind of suck especially when you're trying to move in and you're so busy packing number one using a card number two and don't have a lot of time on your day and have to revolve it around a schedule of the office other than that it's great and I would probably recommend it to friends.

It looks disgusting and appears as if it could create a health hazard from the insulation dust particles it creates in its current state. It gives the appearance of an abandoned building after a fire with the insulation hanging and falling off the ceiling everywhere with no signs of it being swept off the floor. The employees were nice enough but the state of the facility is very alarming, in my opinion.

My paid unit remained double locked for "security reasons" in a well lit, properly locked unit with security surveillance although this policy was never explained to me nor was there any information in my contract that states that my belongings would not remain freelyaccesible ????? After making an extremely costly trip over four hours to find my belongings inaccessible I reported the issue to management, never receiving any response. When I planned to vacate I contacted the location to explain I would be traveling to the area with a rental truck and needed access I was assured that the second lock would be left on the unit "dummied" in the unlocked position until I vacated. After renting the truck and making the trip I again found that I had no access. After contacting after hours customer service I was informed that there was nothing that could be done until the following day, causing me to incur several hundred dollars worth of expenses including additional truck rental, hotel accommodations, gas and incidental expenses as we were not prepared to stay in the area. Both the customer service agent who took my complaint and the customer service representative who was working when I returned the following day assured me I would be contacted promptly by someone who could further investigate the matter. Two weeks later I have not received a call, email NOTHING. Absolutely atrocious customer service, immoral, illegal, and (to be frank) foolish business practices!! NEVER AGAIN will I deal with Uhaul outside of a courtroom!!
