This location was excellent and the rental truck was super clean I didn't have any problems or issues. I would for sure recommend this location to everyone I know!! Thank you u-haul for the great experience renting a truck I appreciate it so much.

PETER LI made an appointment for 11 am, but was bumped by two car hitch installations, then a lunch break for installer. I did not leave the place until 1:45 pm. No apologies from staff, just billed me.
Michael BWaited for almost 30 minutes to secure a vehicle even though I had a reservation. Only one person working the counter. Staff on site seem disinterested, Was told gas was at 1/8 of a tank, it was about half that when I pulled out of the parking lot. Was not going to go back as there was a line of people waiting for service. Call office, phone rang off the hook

KENNES RThe people were friendly, but when I got in my truck there was a check engine light on. When I asked was it ok I was told it was fine and it was a reminder light for their team. This made no sense to me but I trusted them. I then had nothing but problems with the truck bouncing around the road loaded and unloaded. This was the worst rental I’ve ever had through UHaul.

DOUGLAS FThe trailer was dirty inside. One of the fellow said that’s just how it was and they didn’t have to clean it. So I went inside and asked the guy who helped me originally and he came out and mopped it out for me. He was very nice.
LAURALEE PThe fucking after hours return system is awful. For fucks sake, how many pictures am I supposed to upload? I get it, I ought to tell the mileage, the time returned, and if I had an accident. Questions would be enough, do I need to take and upload photos of every side of the vehicle when. All I want to do is go home? I actually used up my phone battery before I could finish all the photos, had to go home and get a battery to recharge and drive back before I could officially return the truck. I truly fucking hate the send photos of everything return system you have got going. Get real. Here is an idea: I tell you the return mileage. You check the next day. Don’t expect me to try to post 5 photos of my dashboard before your system will accept it. How about I tell you there was no accident and you believe in the absence of any evidence otherwise?

DOUGLAS HI was a new renter for this cargo trailer and while everything worked out, I think there could have been a general checklist for people renting. A couple of examples... 1) While the trailer was connected to my electrical unit, I realized it pulled out before leaving the lot and had to ask for an extension for the electrical after I was already cleared to leave the lot. This could be a major safety concern and while the team checked my electrical, this could have had a bad result if I hadn't seen the issue myself. 2) The empty trailer is very noisy and caused me a lot of concern. After I got the trailer to our packing location, I read through all the paperwork and saw that the hitch needs to be tightly connected to the ball and I could shake the ball/hitch and was concerned. I drove back to the location to have someone check the safety, which took another hour out of my day. The team did explain the empty trailer and noise was to be expected, so I drove back to pack with some assurance that could have been shared the first time around. I have to say that the check in process was superb and the team here works very hard and I didn't have to wait a long time for service or coming back to ask questions. I am just sharing some feedback to help improve service and safety for everyone. Thank You!

I paid it as I always do with my credit card I don't like receiving threats for something I've already taken care of. This is the first time and I've used u-Haul many times I hope this does not happen again
CHARLES AThe 20 ft truck I reserved over a month out, was not available at my original location. I was then sent to Point Loma where they did not have one when I arrived, saying my truck had not returned. The gentleman at the counter was polite and very helpful. Due to people waiting on me on the Sunday to help load, I had to take a 26 ft truck F650 Ford that rode rougher and took more gas. I literally could not drive over 50 mph on the Phoenix Hwy 303 bypass because the vehicle bucked so much that I was bouncing out of my seat. I have driven this route many times in other vehicles and never experienced that. It came down to the stiffer suspension and possibly the way the concrete is poured on the northern portion of the 303, because I noticed a similar experience on interstate 40 concrete in Oklahoma City. But I know the 20ft E450 Ford does not handle like that.

Nathaniel BMy mobile rental was not raady so I had to wait in an unsafe area for staff to arrive (I ubered there). The staff could care less that they forgot to stage the uhaul for Mobile pickup. My gired movers were made to wait 30 minutes for my late arrival. Then when the gas was wrong I approached Johnathan and he was rude and not helpful. When I returned the female was friendly and helpful but the male (who check.me in) was short with me and unhelpful.
JEANINE PThis was a Saturday morning. I had a reserved 10:00 a.m. pickup. I arrived at the store 9:55 a.m. there were about 10 people ahead of me in line and only one person working and I waited 59 minutes to get to the counter and get my check out. Look at the time I got my truck it was 10:54 59 minutes later and that is completely unacceptable. It delayed my entire move. I had to pay my moving helpers for an additional hour which cost me approximately $100 and is completely like unacceptable to treat your customers this way and inconvenience them in this fashion.

DOMINGOS N1. There was no clear direction of where to park our car and what the process was when we entered the door. People were waiting in various places for someone to check us in and the manager was moving quickly in and out of the office with no greetings or directions to anyone. 2. When the manager finally checked me in he was all business and no courtesy, obviously stressed and moved so fast he was hard to follow. 3. When I went to put gas in the truck, it would only take less than 1/20 of a gallon, and the nozzle shut off. We tried different pumps and different gas stations. It was too late to return the truck and replace it. It took us 20 minutes and over a hundred tries to get 6 gallons into the truck. 4. When we returned the truck, we had to find someone to tell us what to do. 5. The side view mirrors were almost useless and dangerous because we could not adjust them. 6. Overall, way below satisfactory. 7. We did get our job done.

Moreover, the lack of assistance on-site adds to the frustration, and I found myself in a predicament when I got trapped in the parking lot due to a poorly placed truck. In addition, I opted for a Ubox rental, where the reservation process involves specifying both pick-up and drop-off locations. However, the initial quote only covers pick-up and storage, conveniently omitting the drop-off fee. This deceptive practice led to my moving cost doubling unexpectedly. This misleading approach is especially disheartening given the already significant expenses associated with moving. The situation worsens as they establish a separate reservation using the card details from the original reservation and automatically charge it. Opting for a local moving company seems like a more reliable choice compared to falling victim to the practices of these unscrupulous corporate entities.

It is also climate controlled. Will never store with U-Haul again.

I could not afford the locksmith at the time and since the bill doubled. Now i was left with a $945 bill which i could not pay, had to settle and only by the support of Rick was able to keep my moms belongings. I have paid over $5500 in bills to this uhaul and was treated so poorly im left with a negative impression about this facility and can never use uhaul again. I was told i could remove the items by 10pm. The same dreaded man came back ,with a dog , smelling like marajuana telling me i had to be out by 8:30 or "as soon as he felt like it". The same man doubled my bill and completely ruined my understanding of customer support. If anyone pays for a unit for 5 years, balance ready in hand, i think they deserve the support to fix the situation right then. This man was horrible and ended up costing uhaul an immediate payment and closing and instead created a long settlement. Nobody benefited from his horrible customer service skills and he should be fired immediately. How many customers has he done this to? I will be following up on this review personally as i have no intention to leave any past dues unpaid. I just want to make sure nobody else has to ever deal with the situation i had. Im so sorry for who ever reads this but i hope it gets back to the dreaded man at the point loma uhaul. He is a disgrace to the local community has no belonging in any managerial role.
