There should be 2 employees working at 7am Saturday mornings instead of one. I was fortunate to only be in line behind 2 customers at 7:30. Though I reserved a truck online the afternoon before, i had to wait 20 mins for assistance. Then the computer wasn’t cooperating, so a line formed behind me. There were 12 customers in line behind me when the transaction was complete, and they were all very frustrated. I had to call all my helpers to let them know I would be late returning. Didn’t get out of there until 8:30. It took an hour to pick up a truck I reserved in advance.

JOANNE GMade a reservation for ground floor unit. When we arrived we were told it wasn't available and would have to be yet even further away from loading area and use and elevator. I said NO thats not what we reserved! Interestingly they found a unit like what we reserved to begin with. We got to the unit and the alarm kept going off, we were told it was due to a faulty key card. Only 2 young men to run the whole place, checking in trucks, checking people out and neither acted like they cared to help you. We consider this poor training, not the fault of the employee at all. Not at all KNOWLEDGEABLE, well trained staff for such a busy location. Absolutely would not recommend!

Absolutely unacceptable for an employee to be dressed with short shorts and panty hose. Idc if Somone s gay or trans or whatever but no way should a worker ever dress so unprofessionally.

GABE CMake sure to explain the correct connection for the trailer lights as we both needed clarification during installation. Service was great tho.

MARLENA SMy only issue was the truck stunk so bag of marijuana both inside the cab as well as inside the box. I do think the mileage rate is too high but unfortunately I didn’t have a choice and I had to rent it and pay for it

Suzanne HGood experience overall. I did find it odd that the van had the check engine light lit when I first rented the van. I would have thought that the condition of the vehicle would be verified before rental.

TIMOTHY WMy main complaint is your insurance that is offered is a scam. They were unable to provide me any proof that I had insurance, no one knew who the underwriter was or how to obtain proof. Complete scam.

TYLER SI expect the fuel tank to be full upon pick-up, so that I don't waste my mileage count having to go get fuel before I can leave town. An extra stop that waste my valuable time. I also expect a newer vehicle when towing a car trailer, especially on a 450 mile round trip. The truck I was given to tow my vehicle had transmission problems. They need to be inspected more thoroughly. Other than that, customer service was fantastic and prompt.

KELLY EThe employee at the front desk was very condescending. When there was an issue with my boyfriend’s reservation, we weren’t allowed to reserve the U-Haul in my name because my boyfriend would be in the vehicle with me. What should have been a quick pick up took us about an hour to resolve, making us late to our destination. The employee was very rude and offered no solutions to help the situation.

Mary G | First ImpressionsI pointed out that the truck I was given had a check engine light, to which the dingleberry behind the counter said "that's not a real check engine light." (Referring to it being for a fuel cap, but evap system data feeds fuel injection.) That light exists for a fucking reason. If I was a billion dollar company and I had some desk grunt who thought he knew better than generations of automotive engineers and mechanics, I'd nip that shit in the bud before it turned into a very expensive lawsuit. Anyway, After the truck failed on us, one of the service reps who wound up helping us said that truck had been flagged as having two roadside cases within 90 days BEFORE it was given to us. The same dude checked in the replacement truck. Not a "sorry" or a "thank you" or even the slightest ounce of remorse or scrap of professionalism or accountability for the DAYS of extra work and HUNDREDS, if not an easy THOUSAND extra dollars of incidentals that I had to pay out of pocket.
JESSE PThe new building is nice but there needs to be another cutout ramp at the other end of the sidewalk, WITHOUT THE BUMPY BUMPS. They shake and rattle the cart and make stuff fall off.
Philip WCustomer service is really poor. Had $100 deposit in cash in yuba City. When I got there they wouldn't pay me the $100 in cash. I had to call the regional office be on hold for 15 minutes. Try to call the store manager. No no answer regional office finally withheld the funds so I could get my deposit back. This is very frustrating from a customer standpoint. It should very looked at. Probably the worst customer service I've ever received

Jeanette VMy issue isn't with the personal or location. The trucks headlight were NOT adequate on the regular setting. I had to use hi beams to see at night. Also my other issue was the steering seemed loose. I had to do a lot of steering just to keep it on the road. I'm taking into account I was driving g I. A hi wind situation.
RONALD DI reserviced a one way a car hauler that was subpar and did not know it at the time. I live 1.5 hours to this location (the close 1), so it was 3,5 hours just to get to point A in this haul. Over the years I have rented many trailers like this. And I have had problems before, so I look for them as the employees are hooking me up. This time it was unexpected. The tie down straps had been dragged on the ground soooooooooo long that I could not get them into the ratchet strap. Very short and I did not think about it. I had made an appointment with others that screwed my schedule to no end costing me $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$. I wound up purchasing trucker's straps and integrating them with your tie down devises to get the vehicle to where it was supposed to be. I spent 7 more hours on the road than I should have. I think that as part of the return/re out management strategy needs to maybe measure the ends of the tiedown straps, chains etc. coming and going.

ADAM AGavin checked me out with a van and a different Guy checked the van back in. Both were exceptional in their knowledge, kindness, and efficiency. I think of all the times I’ve been to this location, this was my most positive experience! Thank you!

DARLA NAllow cash to be a payment instead of just card an be able to split payments between two cards... Many people still carry cash and it's a hassle to have to deposit it into a card...
KERI GStaff was knowledgeable and VERY helpful. I know it’s winter, but the outside of the trailer was very dirty. I’ve rented from this location many times in the past and I will continue to use them in the future.

SUSAN PI usually use this location for all my needs locally. DylanS at the desk is very helpful and the check in/out process is very simple. After a bad experience in Ketchikan ((during COVID) I used my local Red Bluff location but after an very unsatisfactory experience there with my son using Red Bluff location, I always come back to this location. Parking is not so great but the customer service is,

Due to an upcoming project at the facility we were asked to relocate or move out and help was offered. While it wasn’t ideal to move so quickly, we would have e stayed another month at least, the offers of help financially and logistically was appreciated. I would rent again with Uhaul in the future, including for storage needs.

hainz p | First ImpressionsI have given a 5 star rating because of your great staff and rental facilities but honestly don’t feel comfortable recommending your storage. It was very uncomfortable moving in because the area is so unsecured and totally open to anyone. I had transients walk through just in the short time I was there unloading and there is garbage and signs of transient use behind my unit. I really think you should consider fencing the area and allow access only to customers. That being said I am grateful to have a place to put my things and for the free month that came with my trailer rental. I hope it stays secure. $1000 insurance could never cover the loss of keepsakes and property. Best wishes, Richard

My order was mysteriously canceled and I had to call to fix it then I was never told it was an indoor storage unit up a flight of stairs and that was NOT what I needed(the redbluff uhaul storage set up was what I expected) And the redding location doesn't honor the free month and they had such limited availability they couldn't even give me the correct size. Ive never had any issues renting trucks and equipment but my experience with the storage aspect really tainted my trust. I hope your employees are clearer in the future.

jana t | First ImpressionsI reserved a storage unit several days before moving but when I got into town I was told by a somewhat robotic and unemotional employee that there were no storage units available and my reservation which was confirmed via credit card and email was not in their system. It's completely unacceptable. The toilet in this facility also constantly has feces all down the back of the toilet bowl. Same exact situation 3 years ago when I rented there, no change.

I'm 50 and can hop th edd fence easily. did purchase insurance, but I did not get the impression that that matters.

Edward B | Overall ExperienceAbout half way through my stay, a Uhaul rep called me and stated they would need to cut my lock off to install new security system. I gave them approval as long as they put another one on and left me a key at the front desk. After my wife tried to get the key she was told they would never do that. After about a week of trying they finally came out to remove the lock again (assuming we locked ourselves out) and came to the realization that they had the key in one of their drawers up front. Pretty disappointed at how much of my wife and I's time was wasted. Facilities are incredibly expensive compared to local storage.

The wait times are excessive. Every call is transferred to at least 3 other "departments" and sometimes you MUST go to the local UHaul to have your question answered or need resolved. Corporate is terrible. Local is amazing! Local phone contact would be even better. Thank you, Cyprus Redding UHaul for all your help!
