CONSTANCE B | First ImpressionsThe amount of homeless people going in and out and the activity in the parking lot especially this week it made me clear out my storage unit and not want to use it ever again. Also, the keypad doesn’t always take your alarm code and it welcomes other names, even when you have pressed in the right number and yesterday when I was moving out, it welcomed me to the right name and as soon as I unlocked my storage unit, the alarms went off. The sounds are ear piercing, and triggering for those of us with triggers but all in all the facility is very clean very well-maintained. Staff is friendly, but I feel that the store is understaffed because I’ve never waited in line less than 15 minutes, which seems frustrating for people who are trying to move and already stressed out, but it won’t make me stop using you guys because you’re honestly the best in town.

I ALSO WISH THERE WAS INSTRUCTIONS INSIDE ALONG THE WALLS BECAUSE I DID SET THE ALARM OFF NOT KNOWING WHERE TO PUT MY CODE IN. IT WASNT UNTIL I WENT OUTSIDE, I REALIZED WHERE TO PUT THE CODE FOR THE ALARM TO BE DISABLED. HAPPY WITH THE LOCATION.
Naydine L | Online Move InAs much as I appreciate my belongings being in a safe, temperature controlled space and as friendly and helpful as the staff all were, the access hours were INCREDIBLY INCONVENIENT, as I work late hours and was homeless for 7 months. And at times, it was DIRE that I get to my unit and wasn’t able to. I also couldn’t get ahold of anyone on the after hours number listed, so that was an inconvenience. But the biggest inconvenience of all was being on the 2nd floor and having the elevator out of service not once, not twice, but 3 (possibly 4) separate occasions. If I ever choose this storage facility again in the future, I will 100% be requesting the 1st floor.

My only problem was that in renting a 10 x 20 there was not a 10 x 20 but I was given two 10 x 10 units side-by-side besides that everything went smooth and I would definitely recommend your company again thank you.

Daniel W | Overall ExperienceLuckily, during my rental period my items did not have bugs or rats but there were constantly homeless people and druggies hanging out in the building or in the Bay where you park vehicles. Unfortunately, because there is so much access to homeless people and they let just about anybody rent The very nice facility has started to become a hangout spot and less attractive to normal people looking for a safe place to store their items I would not recommend to a friend or a family member Because of the high traffic of homeless, unfortunately.

I had to go to desk and have attendant unlock for me. Slight inconvenience. Fortunately there was no charge for the extra lock. The staff apologized several times for the inconvenience and were very helpful. Such great staff!!

So we went in yesterday to rent a storage unit for her to store her belonings in for now. Let's just say I was not impressed by the service we received. After waiting there at the counter for 10 minutes someone walked by and I said are you able to help me and they replied back I suppose so. We were never acknowldeged and the customers services was very poor.

When we arrived we were told it wasn't available and would have to be yet even further away from loading area and use and elevator. I said NO thats not what we reserved! Interestingly they found a unit like what we reserved to begin with. We got to the unit and the alarm kept going off, we were told it was due to a faulty key card. Only 2 young men to run the whole place, checking in trucks, checking people out and neither acted like they cared to help you. We consider this poor training, not the fault of the employee at all. Not at all KNOWLEDGEABLE, well trained staff for such a busy location. Absolutely would not recommend!

Due to an upcoming project at the facility we were asked to relocate or move out and help was offered. While it wasn’t ideal to move so quickly, we would have e stayed another month at least, the offers of help financially and logistically was appreciated. I would rent again with Uhaul in the future, including for storage needs.

hainz p | First ImpressionsI have given a 5 star rating because of your great staff and rental facilities but honestly don’t feel comfortable recommending your storage. It was very uncomfortable moving in because the area is so unsecured and totally open to anyone. I had transients walk through just in the short time I was there unloading and there is garbage and signs of transient use behind my unit. I really think you should consider fencing the area and allow access only to customers. That being said I am grateful to have a place to put my things and for the free month that came with my trailer rental. I hope it stays secure. $1000 insurance could never cover the loss of keepsakes and property. Best wishes,

My order was mysteriously canceled and I had to call to fix it then I was never told it was an indoor storage unit up a flight of stairs and that was NOT what I needed(the redbluff uhaul storage set up was what I expected) And the redding location doesn't honor the free month and they had such limited availability they couldn't even give me the correct size. Ive never had any issues renting trucks and equipment but my experience with the storage aspect really tainted my trust. I hope your employees are clearer in the future.

Jana t | First ImpressionsI reserved a storage unit several days before moving but when I got into town I was told by a somewhat robotic and unemotional employee that there were no storage units available and my reservation which was confirmed via credit card and email was not in their system. It's completely unacceptable. The toilet in this facility also constantly has feces all down the back of the toilet bowl. Same exact situation 3 years ago when I rented there, no change.

I'm 50 and can hop th edd fence easily. did purchase insurance, but I did not get the impression that that matters.

Edward B | Overall ExperienceAbout half way through my stay, a Uhaul rep called me and stated they would need to cut my lock off to install new security system. I gave them approval as long as they put another one on and left me a key at the front desk. After my wife tried to get the key she was told they would never do that. After about a week of trying they finally came out to remove the lock again (assuming we locked ourselves out) and came to the realization that they had the key in one of their drawers up front. Pretty disappointed at how much of my wife and I's time was wasted. Facilities are incredibly expensive compared to local storage.

The wait times are excessive. Every call is transferred to at least 3 other "departments" and sometimes you MUST go to the local UHaul to have your question answered or need resolved. Corporate is terrible. Local is amazing! Local phone contact would be even better. Thank you, Cyprus Redding UHaul for all your help!
