FELIX GMy son requested to have 24 hrs access booking agent said extra $10 per say to be charged, my son made the payment agent said to sign some paper work at office we went to uhaul ofc but ofc was closed, when came with the loaded truck in the evening our access was denied after 10 pm so we cud not off load whole truck. We had to rent rhat day & the 2nd day too. We went to the office in the morning lady said there was no payment received in the system nd said no signature was required, we made $10 for 24 hrs access, renewed truck rental for the 2nd day.received payment print out dated 4/27/25 for $244.95. Negligence of your agent caused us extra 2 days truck rental, tiredness, depression etc. Therefore for the sake of good customer service kindly refund truck rental for 2 days Thank you for yr coop/ Shafi Ahmed

DAVID ITerrible customer service upon rental of equipment and return of equipment. need to fire and replace the staff there. I recent once ever 2-3 weeks from uhaul and this is the only location that I havent had excellent service. The employee that took my reservation kept telling me to do it on the app and upload my own pics after i showed him the app wasn't working and I preferred not to upload pics. Upon return, I had to take the trailer off myself and no one helped me despite there being employees there. I'll never go here again unless I cant find another location with the trailer of my choice at any other location in Queens or Nassau

Michael KI rented a car trailer. I drove from Delaware to long island ny with no trailer lights and the ratcheting straps were so rusted and old it took 30 minutes to get them off. It was dangerous. The person checking the trailer in at checkout could not get lights working. This trailer should never be allowed back on road.

Rhonda W | Overall ExperienceThis place is a dump. This is by far the worst storage facility I've ever used. (I've had 5-6) There are many other, much better options in the area, even if you need to pay a little more, it will be worth it, to not have to deal with the aggravating aspects of this place. The one and only elevator is completely manual, requiring you to open and close the heavy door and gate manually. It can be challenging if you are not a large or strong person or don't have great upper body strength. If another customer is holding the elevator or hasn't closed the doors after using it you are left stuck without access. This has happened to me numerous times. The facility is filthy. Ceiling tiles in the storage unit were broken and left debris all over my property. The door to the storage unit, which is made of plywood and most certainly was not constructed by a professional carpenter, doesn't close in alignment, so getting the lock on and off is very challenging and takes much more effort than it ever should. UHAUL SHOULD HAUL THEMSELVES RIGHT OUT OF THE STORAGE BUSINESS AND LEAVE IT TO THE COMPANIES THAT AT LEAST MAKE SOME EFFORT TO CARE ABOUT THE CUSTOMER. I answered 'yes' to helpful and friendly staff...which isn't completely accurate. It applies to just a couple of people, particularly Reece who is too good for this place. They are understaffed, probably underpaid and often not available to help, even when I've needed and requested it. I recently had to search the parking lot looking for staff to try to get elevator access because a customer was holding it for over 15 minutes. All VERY inconvenient.

RUBY D | First ImpressionsJust one complaint: The elevator is an old-style service elevator requiring the outer steel door and the inner steel gate to be opened to enter and closed to move the elevator and the reverse to leave the elevator. The outer steel door is especially cumbersome to operate. The elevator alone would cause me to recommend a newer public storage facility to my friends. I want to emphasize that the staff are EXCELLENT. However, there are too few of them since U-HAUL expects customers to rent, sign in, and sign out by the Internet on our phones while being present at U-HAUL so we could take pictures of our storage facility/rental vehicle. Pictures is a good idea. I am not complaining about that.

It took a long time to get everything coordinated (7 hours on the phone with customer service over 3 days) but I eventually got everything worked out. The manager and employees at the Rockville Centre location were very helpful.

Bill became Past Due because of a problem on your website which would not allow me to use my credit card for payment. On 11-27-21, at 1:25p ET called 1-800-GO-UHAUL. Reached "Elizabeth" at the Call Center. Explained my dilemma with your website. She processed the credit card payment for me. After completing processing she told me that she was "unable to provide a confirmation or transaction number because the payment is pending." End result, NO PAYMENT RECORDED. Thus, necessitating my phone call to U-Haul RVC on 11-29-21.

She felt challenged challenged because a product that she recommended was not received with enthusiasm and later sought to pull rank and punish us by insisting we should go up and take a photograph of the room even though it was busy and a staff member was willing and able to go inspect the vacatied room. She was utterly combative and unprofessional. Poor customer sevice. Unlike what she purported in the video which is what appealed to me when I was shopping around. She certainly did a poir show of representating the company.

JEANNEMARIE H | First ImpressionsThe move-in was fine, back in 2017 when I moved in, so I don't know why I'm getting this now, but it is typical of the complete lack of communication at the facility. For six months now I have been having major problems with my payments -- checks are lost and then posted 6 months late, checks take weeks and weeks to post, and no one knows what is going on or has any interest in finding out. I had to come personally to the facility to straighten out my account, and then ANOTHER check appeared and was posted 6 months after I sent it in. When I texted the manager (as he had asked me to do about any issued), he has never responded. VERY VERY FRUSTRATING.

Although I would like to stay at this storage facility I need to find one that is cleaner and more conducive to storing my wardrobe. My clothing has mold on it and many fine pieces of clothing, especially leather clothing and shoes is ruined. Moreover, the freight elevator is inconvenient and clumsy for getting to my space and for moving stored items.
