I tried to use the mobile phone process to pick up my truck. The night watchman on the premises says "we don't do that here." SO I had to wait for the location to open. Also, there was evidently a problem with my driver license picture. users should have the ability to PREload their documents into their account profile, so we are not fumbling around with our cellphones. The airlines and rental car companies do this already.

Considering there was not one cargo trailer available in an over 200 mile radius of long island new york is really not the service i expect from uhaul this actually was the only 5x9 utility trailer in the same radius

They customer service rep was great at the location. Very courteous and helpful. The truck itself was in descent condition but exterior was dirty and muddy. So it was tough to do a thorough inspection. The big issue I have is that u-haul does not put hooks in the interior of the trucks to help tie down anything in the back. Those wood blocks make it harder on the customer. If your going to have a truck moving company, then help the customers by putting hooks in the interior of the trucks so our stuff doesn't shift and get damage or damage the truck.

I was located in upper Manhattan, needing a one-way Uhaul to Florida. We're already spending a lot of money for the Vehicle, but I had to pay $120 taxi drive to that particular location. It didn't specify vehicle not being available on the website when booking, it specified ”equipment” which can be misleading to the customer. Moving is very stressful and costly I would've been really impressed if I could've just taken one of those many many Uhaul 10footer trucks I see on your 230th location. I expected more from such a Huge company. Great people on both locations that I can not say anything negative about.

How about it doing all of the following: 2. Change the pick time from 8:30 am to 11:30 am without my approval 2. Change the name on the reservation again without my approval 3. Change the drop off location again without my approval. 4. Charge for additional miles because instead of the location chosen I was sent to the next town I cannot express in words my extreme disappointment with your company. I will NEVER use Uhaul again!!!!!!

Oct 3 the truck was not able to light the autotransport lights. The mgr., Darrell, had to get involved to figure out the problem. He figured out it was a bad fuse and used another fuse in fuse box to get lights to work. Also, since I always inspect the autotransport before leaving, I noticed the rear chain was broken. They brought out a new one, but I had to help the yardman replace the chain. This all took about 45 - 50 mins which I did not have to spare. Darrell and another young man with glasses that usually wears a big UHaul sunblocking hat are the only positives for that office. Also, as with previous comments I have sent you, I do not expect to get any response from you. And you will see, based on the several $50 "inconvenience" credits you have sent me, I have had my problems with UHaul.

When calling to rent a vehicle this was only location that was. While staff was friendly there was not enough staff working at to help customers, especially those with reservations. More staff need to be scheduled for beginning/ending of month.

The service was excellent from start to finish. The vehicle was clean and mechanically sound. The only thing I would ask is that you consider a change to your fuel return policy. I think all vehicles should begin with a FULL tank of gas and ask that they be returned with a full tank. My truck began with just under a half tank. My trip required a drive of roughly 85 miles each way. Not knowing how efficient the truck mileage was, I filled the tank prior to beginning the trip. The fill up cost me $34. I returned the truck with 3/4 of a tank, so UHaul was the net recipient of an additional 1/4 tank (or roughly $17 worth of fuel). So I'd say beginning with a full tank supplied by UHaul is a more equitable way to offer your vehicles. Other than that, drop off was easy and efficient.
