Had I known the issues with the truck BEFORE I drove away, I would not have accepted it. There was no review to go over controls, driver aids, issues, etc. The only review was to take pictures of the body to show any damages. Getting the truck to our loading location later revealed lighting and electrical issues and poor cleanliness. Bugs had not been cleaned off the windshield for some time and were obviously, baked on. We were in a time crunch and needed to be on the road the next day. We went to bed with everything seeming normal, even though I had to jiggle the ignition switch to get it to stop chiming. Loaded some that evening. Got up the next day to see that lights on rear of truck were on. Now, I'm concerned about it running down the battery and not being able to start it. Luckily, it started. Contacted UHaul to report the problems. That was not a good experience. We were told they would arrive within 140 minutes. I called the pick-up dealer to see if we could trade the truck. They responded yes, but we would have to bring it back and unload it and reload a new truck on our own. After talking to J.T. at Uhaul and going back and forth he told me to drive it, it would be okay. After departing Ocala on our way to Saint Johns, I discovered bugs on windshield at night were excerbating my vision, the handling of truck was poor and found it "wondering back and forth in the lane continously, and a dashboard cover below the steering column kept popping off and hitting my knee. In the dark, driving myself lead to me trying to pop it back into place, but eventually just leaving it rest against my knees. The brakes were soft and had to pump them too. And the lights at night did not go out that whole time we had it. In my opinion, this truck was in such poor condition, it should not have been allowed out. We were operating with a time crunch and having to worry about the risks of this truck just added to our worries.

We dropped our trailer off well before the drop off time and were told they were too busy to check it in at that time but not too worry. When I received the receipt, I was charged an extra day fee. When I called to complain about it, the female that answered was side, rude and disrespectful and not helpful at all. She said there was nothing she could do at that time and someone would call back, that it unacceptable. I then called 800-u-haul, explained what happened and was put on hold for a minute while she called that location, when she came back on the phone I was told that my refund for the extra day charge was taken care of. I should not have to call 800-uhaul to get a problem taken care of. I will never give this location my business ever again!

I've been renting vehicles for 40 years & the way the gas works is, the tank is full then you just fill it up. You have come up with a singularly stupid method. You're supposed to just fill the tank to where it was when you got in. We don't know how big the tank is or the milage of the vehicle. This is a grift cause they want you to get it wrong so they can charge you $5 a gallon. Don't recommend. Chevy truck was impressive.

Inside of windshield was dirty and affected visibility. Safety hazard. I called in to reserve appliance dolly and one was reserved, but when I picked up truck, location did not have it and I had to drive accross town to get one. Once there, had to wait 15 min approx for someone to answer door for dolly. It was nice I was not charged for it, but I did pay for my gas to and valuable time having to drive accross town to get one.

First, I reserved a 6x12 covered trailer from one of your stores in Flint, Michigan. I was quoted a price of $234.00 for the trip. 6 days before I was to pick it up, I received an e-mail canceling my reservation, saying they had no unit available in the size I requested. I then was told by a franchise in my hometown (Caro, Mi.) that he had one of the size I needed that would be available the day before I needed it, That Wednesday he called to say the trailer I requested was rented out because 'U-Haul' contacted him twice and told him that I'd canceled my reservation! Now, I'm told that Cass City U-Haul has a unit of the size I wanted. So, across county I drive. There, in their parking lot was the 6x12 I needed. Only to be told the price was now $425.00! I was told rather discourteously to take it or leave it, That he was a hardware store and a U-Haul franchise second. That's when I decided I'd never rent from this person for anything. While in the persons outlet I was called by U-Haul and told there was NO 6x12 available anyplace in the Tuscola county area had a 6x12 trailer available. This while I was standing right next to a 6x12 unit! I finally returned to Caro figuring a 5x8 was better than nothing. He was very happy to rent me a unit, for only $25.00! Still $200.00 more than my first reserved price. After hours wasted, I finally talked to a woman attached to your company that finally agreed to rent me a unit for close to the originally agreed upon price. This only cost me hours in packing and transportation time. Not telling the inability to load everything I'd packed to take with me. To say I'm disappointed in the service I received from U-Haul was unsatisfactory would be at best kind. The entire experience was at most disappointing. Now, I have to rely on friends packing and shipping many items at an additional cost. Will I ever use U-Haul again? I hope I never need to but, if a move is required again, I will think twice before using your service again. And, never will I recommend your company to anyone. Sincerely Charles M Corkran

The staff were friendly and very helpful. They explained everything when I went to book a one way. Then only problem was when we went to pick up the truck, the right rear turn signal and brake light didn't work. This should have been checked out before renting. They however gave us another day to return the truck which we didn't need another day. It would have been nice to have a monetary compensation since we didn't need the truck all that time. They spent over an hour trying to fix the problem but couldn't so then we were given another truck to take. The agent was to send me an email with the new contract that listed the new truck number, but I didn't receive it. However, I did call and they sent it in an email. I didn't want to go over miles.

There were opened crackers under the seat, and they didn’t have the dolly I reserved available to rent. However, I was still charged for it and ended up being forced to pay for their dolly to keep. I also had to call customer service for a refund because the location wasn’t able to process it.

The passenger side rear view mirror was cracked and it had a big Uhaul installed sticker on it making rear visibility difficult. The rear sliding door lock needs lubrication, very stiff, corroded.

Very poor customer service. Reservation was made by a representative at another location who PERSONALLY spoke to someone at this location. It was a simple transfer of reservation bc the Ocala location closed at 5. When I arrived at this location, the clerk could not find it. I had to accept a more expensive trailer beyond my needs. She was so young and inexperienced she could not identify the correct hitch, then she could not get the pin in with her long nails. The other young lady had been working on another customer's hookup for 1/2 an hour. She tried to convince me that the pin wasn't supposed go all the way in. It popped out easily, and I knew that would cause my trailer to come loose and cause a crash on the road. They did not have a hammer, and there was no one else to help. I'm sorry, but a man with some knowledge and strength would have been helpful here. I had to stop at the nearest O' Reilly to get a hammer and help with the pin.

I use U-Haul least once a week and this is the second time I thought the first time human mistake but this time when I got in truck good thing I looked at the mileage and fuel before taking off both were wrong the milage was off by 30 in U-Haul favor and gas was half but I got in qtr,,,,I wondering if this is done on purpose because once u leave u won't have proof,,,,so I urge every renter triple check ur mileage and fuel before I leave store and any new damage report it ,,,might start looking into enterprise or budget for future rentals

No electric outlet in storage unit - means no ability to run a floor fan when our "climate controlled" unit was not adequately climate-controlled. Also, no lighting within the unit made sorting through contents of our boxes made difficult and tiring. Staff great! Carts and hand trucks helpful. Probably would choose typical, ground access facility in the future for short-tme storage and need to work in the unit.

We are extremely pleased with everything about this storage facility! We would absolutely use it again and highly recommend it to anyone searching for a storage facility. It is super clean, well lit and secure, from the check-in process to the close out process it was very smooth. Customer service was excellent and employees all looked very happy to help and looked happy to be there. We also dropped our one way trailer off and also rented a local truck to use. The drop process was so easy and the pickup process was fast. The truck was very clean inside. A very well run facility!

Tori assisted me over the phone around 8am, was so beyond kind and helpful in a moment of conflict for me. She was supportive, showed empathy and was very instructive! Unit was too small for my 6'x12" Trailer. Had to bring alot back to my Air BNB. Could not squeeze one more item in. I do not understand how they think you can get a 6x12 FULL trailer into a 5x5 space?? Just CRAZY. NO WAY.

First time access to unit was annoying. 1- had no idea needed to go first to another key pad to register in before going to the ones next to access doors. 2- I was under the impression that storage units could be accessed 24/7 but that wasn't the case. 3- Access process is still kind of annoying.
