I rented this unit for 9+ years under a different Manager than the current new one, Lucci. My unit was Broken into and she STILL CAN NOT VIEW the security tape????? I have named her on the Police report and after her further answers to me, it's looking like I'm right. District manager also will not return my calls!! I need Corporate Help please 🙏

this location at 12420 E Indiana Ave Spokane Valley, WA 99216 has scammed me out of $160.00 USD and I will escalate the issue and ensure that none of my friends and family use UHaul ever again. Furthermore I have contacted VISA’s fraud department to notify them of the illegal practices taking place here, and will be filing with better business bureau. I will then leave a review stating the same on Google and other online review forums so that others are informed.

I needed a place for a short (2 1/2 week) storage of household belongings. This place was perfect. Easy to load in. Easy to load out. They made it easy to setup the storage, and even easier to close out the contract when done. I'll use them again.

Honestly, this has to be the WORST experience I've had with Uhaul.... I'll happily go to a local rental shop and/or Penske and pay more than to ever go back to this particular store. The manager Luci Asselin Foster is the rudest most condescending Uhaul employee I've ever encountered at a Uhaul location. The first thing she said to me was an accusation of giving false information to the front desk regarding vehicle towing capacity. If she had first said hello and asked a clarifying question I would have explained we only gave the vehicle yr/make/model which we were asked. The Uhaul system (or employee) puts in the vehicle towing capacity. So she first called me a liar, then when we explained the 1500 pound truck could easily tow a 5x8 utility trailer she explained "I know what your truck can pull, I don't need to be told that" in the most condescending attitude possible. After we finally were able to reserve the trailer we went outside to connect and I went to bend down and help she very rudely said "can you move so I can train my employee." I don't mind if she wanted to hook it up, but speaking to a customer respectfully and kindly should be more of a priority within the Uhaul company. I was dumbfounded at the nerve of this Uhaul store manager.  When I politely asked if they could just hook up the trailer b/c we only rented it for two hours and I personally don't feel Uhaul should be training their employees on MY TIME. I paid for two hours and they are eating into my 2 hr window to train. I'd also like to iterate we were the only customers in the store this entire time and it took 33 minutes just to rent this single 5x8 utility trailer. I've never been in a Uhaul with zero other customers, and renting anything takes so long.  After I let her know she could have spoken to me a little more politely she then told me I was holding her up and I needed to step aside and asked "Do you want to rent this trailer or not?" I was again in such shock. What is happening in this person's life causing them to speak to a customer, or even another person this way? Respect and kindness go a long way.  I then brought the trailer back cleaner than they gave it to us. The trailer had tree debris all over it which just confirms this location treats their equipment like their customers.  Please do not waste your time or money at this location. If you have to 25 miles out of the way, do it. If you have to spend more money, do it. This location is not worth the stress and disrespect they're selling. Just go somewhere else, I know I will next time.

I’ve been using this storage place sine before it was U-Haul in 2012 as Spokane Valley storage Indiana. I’ve noticed a great improvement in security since becoming U-haul storage, as a customer I appreciate that. One thing I wish would change is I paid for a full month and I’m moving out 11 days before my next payment would be due and I’m not allotted a prorate for my unit. Other than that I felt safe keeping my precious belongings at this storage facility since becoming U-Haul. Some of my things under the other storage facility were stolen, many collectible items and even made a police report to which nothing was ever found unfortunately.

Everything was great for us until the day we moved our things out of the storage unit. The man in the office was rude and incredibly unhelpful. We had a 20 foot u-haul to load up and we asked him multiple times if he would open the equipment return gate for us to leave thru, since it was literally 10 feet in front of where we parked the truck. We have had the office managers open this gate for us before, instead of making us back out around multiple other trucks and blind corners. He refused. We asked him to please move some of the vehicles out of the way for us while we attempted to back out. He refused. He was so rude and unhelpful that we will never use u-haul for trucks or storage again.

I went to pick up a 15' box truck Saturday morning. There were heavy issues with getting the order completed so much that it took 45+ minutes to complete. This was a prescheduled appointment. The young woman did everything she could to make magic happen, and did. This despite multiple IT/ computer errors.

UHaul wanted ne to take it somewhere else even though I had rented a storage through the same process on line as the vehicle. UHaul would have probably sent that vehicle out the same day of I had not brought it to Mike and explained the condition. UHaul fails again!!

We had to store our in-law’s belongings for thirteen years. When we finally cleaned out the storage union there wasn’t a sign of any mice or bugs or water damage. I was really surprised. We would definitely rent from them again!

Your check-in policy was a little unorganized I had to go to three places to figure out which storage was supposed to be mine or where to pick up my truck and second of all when you do find your storage the boxes to get into your code or on the wrong side they should be so you don't have to get out of your car

The front desk employee Isaac could use some additional training. He struggled with the entire move-in process. He did not know how to process an online storage purchase. What should have taken 2-3 minutes ended up taking 1-2 hours. Also, he did not know how to add my confirmation number from my U-Haul rental to qualify for a free month of storage. I would like my one free month of storage at this facility.

The truck had an oil change light on but I only drove it 8 miles total so I didn’t have a problem there. They charged me for what should have been my 1month free and for another month even though I talked to someone 2 weeks prior to my month being up that I was done w/the unit. They apparently didn’t put it in the system so it wasn’t until another person called me that my account was closed. So basically U-Haul screwed me over for almost $400.

The facility and path of travel is too tight. Rental trucks are parked on the end caps and it is very difficult to maneuver. Staff was wonderful in helping me. Why can’t we have the keypad so the driver can use it from their side?

Mike listened to my situation and gave me a couple options and I was able to choose what worked for me. Although a truck/storage deal was not an option what I got was better! And uhaul has always had great prices for trucks so that was the least of my worries. I needed a close storage that would fit an oversized couch and all of my belongings asap and I got that! Thank you Mike oh and the gentleman that helped me after Mike. Also they have a remote for gate access which makes my trips super fast and convenient!!!!

Three parking spaces, one handicap & two regular. If multiple people are returning vehicles, it becomes a cluster! Equipment blocking cars in; unable to access storage facility; no street parking available, and signs saying do not block entrance.

I’d give a five plus rating however I’m going to give two for the simple fact that uhaul thought I was ok with being charged a covid fee for air fresheners. Corporate has been capitalizing on covid cleaning fees when it’s just standard cleaners. Stores don’t charge for cleaning their store so i shouldn’t be charged for it. The staff amazing it not their fault corporate uhaul greedily charged their customers for bs fees.

Hands down best experience I've ever had with uhual was with owner of the facility Micheal and his crew. These guys were genuinely honest, polite, and diligent in making sure everything was handled in a timely fashion but handled correctly as to avoid later issues or disputes. It's been a long time since I've seen this level of customer service and I believe that the rest of uhual can learn a lot and achieve more if they were to handle anything and everything even half as well as Micheal and his crew have.

I absolutely am satisfied with this particular U Haul facility. All above answers are very correct. HOWEVER, MY DISSATISFACTION IS WITH U HAULS POLICY. My rent on three units was due October 24 so I even paid Oct 23! I knew on the 25th there would be a late charge. I did the right thing. The very next day we were notified that we were closing on a house. I made quick arrangements for movers for Saturday and Sunday and all units were vacated by noon Sunday! When I went to U Haul to get "my expected refund" Mike Fenton, very nice owner, showed me the written policy of U Haul (refer to contract) and said he could not go around it to help me out. I believe him. HOWEVER, I paid almost $400.00 for two and a half days of storage! NOT FAIR do you think?For this reason I would not recommend U Haul. Again, employees and owner have all been kind and helpful.

Mike was very kind. I utilized the free 30 days for storage but had too much stuff to fit in a 5x10 so at no extra charge he bumped me up to 10x10 which was the perfect size. His customer service skills were great and his professionalism was exactly where it should've been as an owner. If I ever need storage again I will defintely come back and use Mike's facility. His crew was very nice and his property was not only very easily seen from the freeway but also very clean inside the units and on the property. Thanks again for everything Mike!

The only reason this is getting a 2 instead of a 1 rating is because of the guy that helped us inside the office. He was very nice and understood what I was trying to get done. The reason this would’ve gotten a 1 is simply because of the main number to UHaul. I called 3 times because they kept sending me YouTube videos that were literally no help, and when I tried to tell them what exactly it was that wasn’t working, they were not listening. I was on hold 3 times for 20 minutes each time trying to get help. All 3 ended up telling me there was nothing they could do to help. Literally no help. I was thankful when I got to meet the guy inside, I think his name was Nick, but he was very helpful to a frustrating day. I very much appreciated him!!

This place let's the homeless camp inside the fence for weeks at a time. Also, they claim to have a list you go on if you want a bigger unit once it becomes available.
