MARK AI rented a truck and trailer from this location. The employees hooked up the trailer to the truck and I picked up the truck and trailer already connected. I drove to the location to load up the car. When attempting to load the car, the car was halfway up the ramps and the trailer flew off the ball hitch into the tailgate of the truck. There were 2 witnesses with me when it happened. I immediately put the trailer back on the hitch and drove the truck and trailer straight back to the u haul location. Because I didn’t buy the accident and damage waiver I got an invoice for $1800 when this damage was not my fault. I cannot be held responsible when I did not hook up the trailer. A U-Haul employee at this location hooked up the trailer for me. I called the location and the manager was very rude and not helpful. I will be going to a lawyer and taking this matter to court as this is an employee error and I will not be held accountable.

Lizett WTrailer door roller came of the track. My belongings were stuck in there for over 3 hours whike imwaoted for roadside. Put me behind schedule. I had people standing around waiting the whole time. I asked for a small discount and was told they don't do that for broken rollers. First time using uhaul not impressed.

SYED MWhile the majority of our experience was above average, the closing of our account did not go without a hitch. We moved our belongings out on Friday, March 21 and went into the office to close the account. However something in your system did not stick. I watched your employee add a message to our account that we had moved out and think she said that the account would be fully closed after the unit was inspected. Fortunately she also removed the automatic payment option. On March 26, we were invoiced for another month. After a fairly long phone call, this was resolved and the account is now closed. However the incident was a bit disconcerting. Ironically I went into the office on the Friday because I wanted to ensure the closing went smoothly and because I was a bit uncomfortable leaving my access card in an unlocked unit and closing the account online. As I said before though, aside from this hitch our overall experience was positive.

LAWRENCE GLengthy app process when arriving back at the location. Makes the process time consuming after a move. Didn’t have the app, was told to get the app. If I didn’t want to do the app, then what? I wasn’t given options or suggestions to make me feel more comfortable. I also forgot the dolly at home and came back the next morning at 7am and was stilled charged for it, after leaving a half tank of gas in the vehicle.
KYLE MIt took 45 minutes waiting to return a small trailer. The trailers were blocked for pickup with 8 uhaul trucks. No organization to pickup or drop off rental equipment. I have never seen this type of shit show at any uhaul location. It was a first time for me

HECTOR PHaving been to other U-haul locations and the keys are in a lock box. The instruction in the app on this location is not too specific. The instruction in the app should be improved - to find the key to the truck should be "backdoor of the truck" instead of just "backdoor" or "You can find the key inside the back of the truck. To get the key, unlock the combination lock by using the combination below." I wasted 30 mins to look for the key and have to make a call to their customer service. I ordered an appliance trolley knowing the we are hauling heavy items, but there is no trolley, unfortunately, our pick up time is early in the morning and the store is still closed. At the end, we were able to do a refund for the trolley, but it would have saved our bodies from back breaking heavy lifting if they delivered what was ordered.

The staff wanted to charge me an additional month even though I was moving out before the free month ended. There was some mis communication regarding the guidelines pertaining to the free month. In the future I would suggest that the costumer is made aware of one month free minimum two months of storage and then charge the customer immediately for the second month.I think that would be helpful. All in all the staff (I think the assistant manager and another brunette young lady) handled the situation professionally . They were in Contact with the G.M and made a long time U-Haul customer feel valued on how they handled the situation. I appreciate that. Great Job

Snow was frozen and not shoveled in front of the door to my inside unit and I could not open the door. A second lock was placed on my unit, without informing me, “for more security, as break ins were becoming more frequent”. When I found the second lock, it was after office hours and I could not access my unit. Drywall in unit had holes and found large amounts of rodent droppings when moving out.

lindsay h | Overall ExperienceRenting the unit was easy but I was never advised to load and lock it upon rental. Unit 204 was in horrible condition upon arrival but we had a short timeline in our move so I couldn’t make adjustments with it being the only unit left. I got a call for this a week later. I preordered large orders of boxes online twice first time order wasn’t picked upon arrival. Second time I added a note to my order indicating I didn’t have time to wait for it to be picked. When we arrived the order wasn’t ready when I mentioned the note to the attendant I was told they didn’t get any notification. Then he picked the order which we had to review it three times as all items that were multiples he only picked singles for and then had to return again for missing items. Getting a call from them that I provided the wrong sizing for the item I ordered and had to return to pay for them? I prepaid online and requested the same size I was provided by the attendant but had to talk over him when he called because he wasn’t listening to my explanation. Second months rent wasn’t withdrawn from credit card on file so I received two calls from the manager along with two letters mailed to my home after sorting out the issue. The unit was in a horrible state dry walled, with huge cracks allow moisture to pool on the floor of the unit. Drywall tape on corners needed repairs corner of unit needed to be swept out as there was all sorts of debris. Boxes covered in jip rock from where birds got in and chipped it away. I even had a bird in the unit one day I went to load in boxes. Staff seemed young and inexperienced and not very eager to correct problems or have attitude when issues were brought to their attention. In the winter months snow and ice were left to pool at the edge of the unit which had broken concrete that allowed the ice to pool and de thaw along the doorway so I couldn’t place boxes two feet from the edge or they would get wet. When removing the boxes for our move they all had debris on the bottoms from the floor or pieces of the ceiling, it was an outdoor unit so I expected some moisture but a few boxes were soggy and had a musty odour likely because the cracks allowed a lot of moisture to get into the unit. I wouldn’t do business with this location or suggest their services to anyone I know.

I assumed a pest service would take care of it one evening. Without hesitation the young man at the desk out with a stick in the daylight to knock it down. He didn't want me to have to wait to get into my unit safely. Now that's great customer service. We only closed our storage account to move north. Of course we rented a truck then a second from Uhaul to move all of our belongings. Uhaul is the first place we call for moving and storage needs.

The back RV lot also needs the low spots filled. There are many large puddles when it rains. Understanding that the premises is up for renovations but the pot holes & low spots are a simple fix to convenience customers. Otherwise everything is excellent ! Thx Upper Centennial Staff !

dennise m | Overall ExperienceWhen I first moved my stuff into the storage locker, I went to the office and said it’s very dark in there & I can’t see anything and that the light bulb is burnt out. They told me I needed to bring my own lightbulb from home as they don’t supply them. As I was just staring at the young guy in stunned silence, he added, “My manager says, we supply the electricity, but not the lightbulbs”. So, my next trip to bring stuff in, I actually brought a ladder and a lightbulb to change it myself so I could see. Seriously, U-Haul, have a few behind the counter to change them out when they blow....people moving or storing stuff have enough on their plate!! I was almost tempted to unscrew it and take it with me, but I couldn’t get to that to the next person! 😊
