System was down. Didn’t know what I was supposed to get and how long for. Ended up getting called on Tuesday saying I was late and the deals was since I had to drive 2.5 hours to get a truck that they didn’t have the size for they gave me a 10’ truck and 5x8 trailer and said I had till 5:00 on Tuesday to turn it in.

The trailer had an axle issue. The trailer almost shook me off the road if I got above 50 mph. Guy at the pick-up location said the trailer is over 20 years old. Apparently nobody that had rented the trailer took the time to tell anybody something was wrong with it!
John NThis location is 90 miles from where I requested equipment. I requested help loading my vehicle onto the trailer, as I did not have a spotter with me. While the staff were happy to do so, the result was my car being as off center as it was physically possible to be on the trailer. It was so bad that the wheel straps would not stay in place for literally five minutes on the road. I had to remove the vehicle from the trailer and reposition to safely transport it

Very quick on both pick up and drop off, I was helped immediately both times and the service was very quick and all of them were super friendly and helpful. One of them was even being trained and that sissies anything down and new guy was great. I will definitely prefer this location in the future!

JOSE EI think the equipment should be carefully checked before you leave. I had a light that wasn’t working, but they did find a broken wire and repaired it. But one of the fenders fell off during the trip and was lost. Thankfully nobody was hurt. Tried calling the store and couldn’t get through to a person and kept getting sent to a central support center which was not helpful at all. Eventually at the end of the day when returning the equipment, the guys were great. Very understanding and helpful.
JASON SI put my things here for over a year I was sending my sister the payments for my storage because she had stuff here as well. I ended up losing everything cause she wasn't paying it. But as far as there storage units they are good and good ppl as well. I would use them again

The 10' truck I rented had a broken exhaust hanger at the end of the exhaust pipe. For 1,200 miles on my trip whenever the road gave us a bump, the exhaust piping would rattle. That got irksome over the course of the trip.

KRISTOPHER SI put yes on the clean and well maintained section of the survey, but the truck had some minor issues. The light switch button was broken and all that was left was the screw it was attached to. So I had to ask if that was the light switch because there was no indicator to tell me so. It would be nice if the cab of the truck was accessible to shorter people and you didn’t have to carry a stool around just to get in.
RENEE BMy online reservation confirmed that a pickup truck and trailer would be available. However, upon arrival, I was informed that due to other customers taking the trailers, I would not be able to get both. I was told I could pick up a trailer from a different location and the truck from my reserved location. Due to time constraints, I ended up paying almost double to rent a large cargo van, which I did not need. I am not upset with the store, but if items are not actually available for reservation, please remove the option to reserve them.

ANTHONY KI had to wait over 30 minutes for someone to get the key to the truck and the guy at the counter was very rude when I questioned him on why they didn't have anyone at the counter to help people. Their were 5-6 other people also waiting. It would be better if they had a way to get the key without having to wait on someone. (lockbox or something like that). I was late getting into my storage facility and the gates closed so I couldn't get in and had to wait until the next day so I had to extend the U-Haul truck rental. If I could have got the keys sooner, I would have had enough time and not had to extend the rental.
Jennifer HClean broken glass from parking lot. Truck had leaf and yard debris in back. I had to clean it before I could load it. Trailer was dirty too, but the representative used a leaf blower to remove debris from it. The check engine light was on, truck averaged 6 miles to the gallon! Which in my opinion, directly contradicts the "fuel savings" advertised on the cab of the truck. I spent close to $300 in fuel that should have been only 1/3 of that. The trailer lights didn't work right and when I mentioned it, the representative said, "it's too late. I'm not fixing that". No. I will never use UHaul again. It would have been cheaper to have just rented a POD from another company and have them deliver it.

HALEY MU-Haul takes advantage of their customers. I rented a 15ft truck one way. They gave it to me for 2 days. I only needed it for 1. I returned the truck same day, under mileage and with more gas (not intentional). U-Haul still charged full price even though the truck was able to be rented earlier than expected. Shame on U-Haul!
Andrew TDidn't have the utility dolly we wanted but luckily we were able to phone a friend. Other than that staff was great and everything worked the way it should.
GAGE HOur U-Haul truck was missing the catalytic converter when we received it. This makes me think the truck was not inspected after the previous renter, nor did they do a pre-inspection. When he brought the truck back to trade it for another, movers were hired by U-Haul to unload and reload another truck. They were not experienced and the packing was atrocious. My items have been damaged. I will call to file a claim tomorrow.

JESUS REverything was great except for the 7$ “vehicle recovery fee” that is non-refundable if I bring back the rented vehicle. You advertise 19.95 for the pickup/vans and then tack on all these extra fees and that is ridiculous. I only needed a van for less than an hour. Either update the pricing or let it be refunded for your customers who are following the process.

DANIELLE JI had issues with the first one. It was dirty and smelled like cigarettes smoke. Took it and put &30.00 gas in it and pulled on highway. The transmission was slipping on it and the RPM’s went crazy. At 60Mph they were almost to 5500 RPM’s. It also couldn’t go in reverse. I sat for quite a while on side of road. The second truck was very clean. I drove off and had the same thing happen to transmission as the first. I called and left messages for someone to call me. I’d like to get the $30 back from first truck as well some some credit for having issues. It took 7hr for me to get home when it should have taken 4hrs.

One of the options was to claim it in person however there was not an option for the person helping me to claim it. I had to call and have someone from UHaul help. Once it was taken care of the person at the store was helpful and finished helping me. However the confusion made it seem as if he was not willing to help. I think his hands were tied and he really didn’t know how to help. He just kept telling me that I was at the wrong place and that they didn’t have the promotion I was given. Even though I showed him that it said I could use any location as long as the location was participating. He did show me that he didn’t have a way to except my code. In the end it worked out. I think the email promotion should be clearer and the UHaul stores should have information about it.

His only comment was that the first floor units cost more. No discussion with us about if we were okay with the extra expense. We assumed it was either no first floor units were available or the promotion was for the less expensive units only. Had some difficulties with the stairs putting her stuff in the unit. U haul associate let us use the appliance dollie and carts , still , I will always wonder if a first floor unit was an option.

I ONY came to this 1 due to convivence of location. The parking is slim, 6 of the spots close to door is so you can advertise trucks, WHY? DUH I was located on the 2nd floor, a lift of some type would be handy instead of ALL stairs. People have stuff to move and it hurts your back taking those stairs multiple times. AGIAN the most inconvenient set up and layout of a Uhaul center I have ever entered. DEF will not recommend nor ever use again. I rather drive an extra 4 miles out of my way to a better center
