The tow trailer wasn’t secured properly. Almost lost my car on the highway. Not to mention the kid in there really didn’t seem to want to hook my car up. The old guy I originally dealt with was pleasant though
SHANE MI receive the wrong wiring, 4 way instead of 7 to safely operate my trailer, no hitch ball or bracket to use it was included, and I was told after it was installed it was $300 extra that a brake controller was needed to operate my camping trailer. I brought the specifications for the trailer showed them to the associate and he ignored them, it will be another 2 weeks to get correct parts after waiting 2 weeks for the wrong one to come in. I’m very dissatisfied with how you operate your supposed to be the experts installing hitches complete every day I’m buying my first camping trailer, how would I know

AGATHA HNot much. You guys are one of the top 3 Uhaul locations I've used in the United States. Can reliably reach folks on the phone, equipment is well maintained and their scheduling is excellent despite a busy location. Do whatever you can to keep the current crew. They are outstanding. Give them all pay raises and bonuses- they're absolutely worth it.

KERRY BDid not offer seating to customers. There were several chairs in the building not in use, but none of the 3 people working offered me a chair for a 90+ minute wait. They said I could "go to the mall or to Target". I came back at the 90 minute mark and saw my car being parked back out in the lot, so I knew it was done. The agent said, "that must have been someone else's, they said it would be 10 more minutes". A minute later, the tech brings me key inside to the agent. I'm sitting on the ground outside now! After 10 minutes, I go back inside, again.... The agent says, "oh. I was just about to call you". I said, "well, there is nowhere to sit". He does not offer an apology, or a chair. He says nothing. This was the worst customer service experience I have ever encountered in my 38 years on this planet. This location should be reported for ADA violations, amongst other things.
Bernadette BHitch install was poorly executed. I picked the car up and a long strap was hanging from it, cardboard was still on the hitch and a long metal wire was hanging off and dragging on the ground. This was all detail work that was overlooked. I was told the strap and the wire were all used as part of the install and just not removed. Not a good look. The guy seemed very un phased by this. I don’t recommend this location, obviously.

RUSSELL KI wouldn't recommend u-haul itself to a friend. My experience was horrible. I had to drive 96 minutes round trip out of the way to get the trailer. The cost changed four times from the estimate. And than the drop off location didn't log the trailer as returned and u-haul tried to charge me for another day. I'll use Ryder rentals next time.

Rebecca D1/15 visits I was able to access my unit without having to go to the office to get the line of trucks moved from in front of my unit. Most days, there was one person working so the wait to have the many trucks, parked with bumpers touching and parked less than 24” from the door to my unit, was averaging 15 minutes. After the first time, I was told to call ahead. I did so every time, only for someone to answer the phone and immediately put me on hold for 10+ minutes each time. The ONE time they answered the phone and spoke with me, they said they were going to move the truck so I can access the unit. 25 minutes later I arrived to find the trucks still blocking the unit. I’m almost 60 years old. I rented this unit for a family member in crisis and everything had to be done quickly. I’m a cancer patient. I wear braces on both hands. To say that this was the worst customer service experience I’ve ever had with any business is an understatement. The location and lack of staff at this U-Haul doesn’t allow for the services they offer to be delivered. This is primarily a truck rental business, not a storage facility. Their emphasis is on the trucking business and storage customers are sacrificed to that end. They block half the units in with rows of trucks. When two renters need access at the same time, they are blocked in. I was blocked in by other renters on 5 different occasions in excess of 15 minutes. My time is tightly scheduled, this was a ridiculous situation and insanely stressful. I definitely do not recommend this facility. I’ll add that none of the employees were rude to me, but not answering the phone and not moving the trucks so I could just access my unit without unnecessary hassle and delay is completely unnecessary and unacceptable. I moved to another facility in less than one month because this situation was intolerable.

I drove the U-Haul to my house, loaded it, and on the way to my new apartment check engine light came on vehicle still worked, but that was concerning. The customer service when I returned was horrible. I sat outside for about 10 minutes at the designated area and had to call inside to see if somebody was coming out, the kid gave me an attitude and hung up on me came out said you can just give me the keys and go

LIESL EDon’t make the customer go out back and find their own rental. Then have to get my own furniture pads. It used to be that the vehicle was out in front. Everything included in the rental was in the back and ready to go. And, why have a cleaning station out front if you can’t take a broom and sweep out the back of the unit.. Customer service has gone downhill.

KIMBERLY CTruck broke down on my long drive from ME to TX twice and had to get roadside assistance twice for what seems to have been a poor previous repair.
Ashley VThey gave me a truck with 1/8 tank of gas and wanted me to bring it back with 1/4 tank or I had to pay an extra 21 dollars. I couldn’t get someone to answer why that was because they kept getting upset and frustrated and would keep reverting back to “we won’t charge you the $21 if you bring it back with 1/4”. I told them repeatedly that it was only at 1/8 and decided to take the truck anyway, as conversing with the two people during the pickup was making no progress.

KELCEY FNever...the General Manager is VERY RUDE definitely needs customer service skills! I overfilled the gas tank instead of being half full I filled it a little more not realizing it. The General Manager said I could take some money off from your bill but I'm not going to!! I being the professional customer and try to make sure that it had half of tank of gas because that's what I got it at,by mistake filled it a little more. Go to turn in tge truck and this is what I get? I asked for the corporate phone number, G.M. says 1-800 UHALL...nope that's not corporate I said let's try this again but now I want the president of the company's email,your name and his. This General Manager needs to be RETRAINED or canned...he has zero customer service skills!!

KOLBY BThe place was cluttered with boxes, the guys wouldn't move from their chairs. They didn't inspect the tow dolly. They made us unhook and leave it. They never came out, wouldn't give me any kind of receipt saying we returned it. We were told we would get credited for early return he just said no they don't do that. I was finally emailed a receipt the day it was supposed to be back. This seems pretty fraudulent to me. I looked it up and it seems this is the norm with uhaul. No refund for early returns.
JUDITH GIssues with billing. Online reservations need to be clear with terms. When returned vehicle the employee appeared super knowledgeable and had great customer service but was really struggling with the computer system for payment. I stood and waited almost a half hour

The windshields always look clean both inside and out, so obviously your staff do clean them and they'd never see the smears unless facing the sun directly, like on the highway. But one thing I will mention can ONLY be seen when driving straight into sunlight!!! Yesterday was very sunny here!!! Then smears probably from the cleaning on the inside windshield making it look thoroughly clean; but show ONLY when the sun hits directly in at the driver. The smears never show at any other angle, ONLY when the SUN SHINES directly in the driver’s eyes!! Yesterday I tried to wipe with a clean handkerchief. My arms are too short to reach beyond just in front of me and my effort didn’t help. Too bad windshields don’t have windshield-wipers on the inside too!! I know Windex is expensive, and so is windshield wiper fluid that could be used on the inside too. So I’ll mention an old cheap Great Depression Era cleaner I learned as a kid in the 1950s, and have used it on apartment windows for decades. It works, Just plain cheap White Vinegar used with clean paper towels works when used just like Windex. Apple Cider Vinegar is great disinfectant and grease cleaner for things other than windows. P.S. FYI I don’t know if it will work. MSN scrolling news page keeps repeating an article (again today) titled “How To Get The Film Off The Inside Of Your Car's Windshield & Keep It Clean”. At a quick scan it appears to be just advice, not an ad for a product. I always listen to WYAR from Yarmouth, ME while driving!! I never noticed it in pick-up trucks I rented previously. Maybe an occasional single beep once and a while, but not the repeated beeps frequently along the I95 turnpike. Yesterday was a Chevrolet. I never saw that black thing on the roof of previous trucks I rented. I don't remember makes of all previous trucks I've rented. Some GM. THANKS AGAIN!!!!

LORA LAllison used the Fword repeatedly because of the “ damn computer system “. They couldn’t find keys for a truck that was returned earlier in the day. She and a coworker were cussing about that. Coworker was walking around with an associate on his cell phone on speaker who is also using the F word. Completely unprofessional.
LISA LTires were so bald that I couldn't drive it at all Thursday and most of Friday because of the snow and wet roads. I got stuck in the exit to the Farmington Walmart because I had to stop at the red light. The tires had no grip or traction whatsoever. Which was why I had to extend my rental by 2 days and then 75 miles was just taking the truck home and returning it so I had to spend $145 more pre-tax than I should have needed to
JOSEPH BWe got good service but the other employees were some what rude to other customers that weren’t fluent in English. Their English was not super clear but just trying to listen to them is more professional instead of immediately being rude to them. I understand it can be hard but professionalism should be prioritized. But we got what we needed and went somewhat smoothly!

SCOTT JUHAUL staff did a great job as usual!!!! The young girl who was 'being interviewed' for a possible job was very helpful loading my folding cart into the back of the pickup for me (I am in my late 70s and have trouble lifting things, even things younger people find light weight). As a customer I recommend her friendly helpful attitude for the job!!! Wish MapQuest directions were same as town signs!!! Minot is only about 15-20 minutes from Auburn AND looks like a single road all the way that just changes its name, but I GOT LOST anyway!!! And the Mainers at a little store where I stopped for directions GAVE ME COMPLETELY WRONG DIRECTIONS!!!!! Turns out MapQuest was RIGHT, but town didn’t have street signs in proper place!!!!! I'm so use to taking the Turnpike to Portland. I had to go to Minot Saturday for the GAHS rabies clinic there!!! When I got there other people said they had had trouble finding it too—not just me, so my old age was not at fault!!!! As an OLD SENIOR citizen I remember back in the 70s when I first moved to Maine, hearing the old saying "in Maine you CAN'T get there from here" because back then 50+ years ago Maine roads were VERY confusing and outside of the city of Portland, you "COULDN'T get there" by maps!!!! I think some roads are still confusing even with my MapQuest directions and map printed out on paper for me to check!!!! NO! I’ve never done GPS--Even if I had it, I wouldn't trust GPS from the horror stories I've read about people ending up in bad trouble because of GPS misdirecting them to wrong places!!! I’ll stick with PAPER MAPS and MapQuest directions that I print out on my computer!!! Paper maps/directions have worked for me for 6 decades!!! I trust what has always worked---old school PAPER maps not GPS technology!!!! My little flip phone isn't what I call a stupid-phone that younger people are addicted to!!! It doesn't do internet; its just a phone!!
LORA LRented a trailer to haul a lawn tractor have 2022 f150 with 7 point wire hookup had to purchase a adapter because wire system on trailer was only a 4 . Adapter should of been included in the rental or update your equipment

The facility was very convenient but with an end unit, the exterior wall had large gaps and o the outside. There was pest control inside the unit which gave some sense of security. The grounds were difficult to navigate as there were always vehicles parked partially blocking some access. It’s a busy uhaul center so I get it, but the systems in place to manage it are not conducive to customer access and experience.

The workers were rude, including one of the store managers your agreement states, and you pay for 24 hour accessibility, however the Uhaul are parked in front of the units at night so no, you don’t have access you may be able to squeeze your body in to get to unit but you certainly can’t bring a truck in. If I was even a minute late with my payment I would receive rude, and threatening emails, calls. My overall experience was just aweful with my storage unit and I will never recommend Uhaul for storage needs. I do want to say that Becky, Ariel, the tall older man have FANTASTIC customer service skills!!!

Finally on the day I decided to move my belongings to another company, there was a nice lady there and she actually listened to my complaints and took good care of me. The customer service was terrible, the storage unit did not seal well so my items were completely covered in road dirt and I could not access my unit at my leisure because they park their trucks in front of the units. They told me to give them notice. So I went all the way out of my way a few days before I would be there with movers and let them know the day and time I would be there. I was repeatedly promised the trucks would not be there. Sure enough the trucks were there. Went out of my way for nothing. The Manager at that location lacks any and all customer service skills. I have worked in customer service and as a customer service manager for 32 years and can feel confident in telling you he has no skills to be in that position working with your customers
Melissa W | Overall ExperienceWhen I went to my storage unit there were trucks lined up in front of the unit. The customer service rep gave us a hard time and just about refused to move the trucks. This happened twice. The customer service is very poor to the point almost everyone is rude. There is also something wrong with the mechanism on my unit we had to pry open the lock every time we went there. I advised the staff and was ignored every time. I also was not offered a refund on the time I have left not renting the unit when I payed until April 9th.

Things must've changed there, since many past online reviews are negative. My only complaint is the lot is too small for all those trucks, it's a cluster f***.

There are soooo many trucks parked everywhere it is hard to drive around or park your vehicle. There was always a truck parked in front of all one side of the units. You had to call to say please move the trucks so I can load and unload stuff. Very inconvenient. We were going to sign on for a year but it is too busy in that lot and way too many headaches and besides we found a unit in town for half the price uhaul quoted me! So overall we were not happy with U-Haul!!
