The service agent waiting on myself and the customer before me was very rude to both of us. Not sure if he was having a bad day, but was very cranky. He raised his voice when we didn't answer questions to his satisfaction. He needs to be more specific when asking us questions, so we are not trying to guess at the answers he is looking for.

The truck was clean inside and out, however someone had been smoking in the truck body prior to my picking the truck up at 7:30 am. That should not happen, it was disgusting. No one should be smoking in the cargo area of your excellent pieces of equipment.. Period!

Salesman who checked us out was quite rude and didn't seem to want to be bothered. It's a man who clearly hates his job. Our return was to a Jacob Libby (bushy hair/beard). He was excellent: pleasant, knowledgeable, polite. Equip was fine. The 'below average rating was due to the guy who checked us out.

I HAD TO MAKE 2 TRIPS TO PICK UP UNIT, I WAS TOLD I HAD BAD LIGHTS ON MY AUTO. SECOND AUTO ALSO LIGHTS DID NOT WORK, MY HUSBAND HAD TO BUY A PLUG EXTENSION FOR YOUR UNIT.

I was charged for extra milage and fuel that I was not aware of. I was not advised of this charge until I saw it in an email days later. I called to inquire about this and a 200.00 credit we were due since UHaul asked us to return the truck to a different location than we had set up in the reservation and we had not received it yet. I unfortunately spoke to Wade, area field manager, that was one of the rudest people I have ever encountered in customer service anywhere! I will never use UHaul or recommend!!

Overall experience on renting the truck was not good. Made the reservation 2 weeks prior to the rental date and received a call Friday after noon to tell me that the truck I rented was not available at the location I choose and told me I had to go to another location 40 minutes away for the rental. When you are trying to move and stressed out already then told I have to go to another location, yes I was very upset. The online experience was terrible and you are given misleading information. I was told as well that I could do the self check in to get the truck and that was never set up. I have rented from Uhaul before and have never had this much issues. Not sure I will rent from Uhaul again.

The truck was fine. When renting however, I asked about additional days because when completing online it only went up to 24 hours. The guy said it would be fine, and the amount billed would be just be adjusted when the truck was returned. I picked the truck up at 4 pm on Thursday. We needed the truck an extra day but was then called at 5pm Friday and told the truck needed to be back before opening the following day because it had been rented out again. We had the truck back before 7am opening on Saturday as requested but I was still charged the 2nd day even though I couldn't/ didn't keep the truck until 4pm. Saturday.

Van was dusty and cab was not clean had a large number of flys in the van it was disgusting. With covid you should be indicating that they have been sanitized. It was absolutely disgusting to have all those flys in thr van and i could not get them out 90 bucks for a van rental. I should get a refund. Told the manager and called service and all i got was sorry. I have used u-haul all my life.

The guy called me to let me know l had to have the truck back by noon. He called at 1pm I told him I had hurt my back and would get someone to bring it back. I was two hours late. He charged me $54.dollars for the truck and another $20. For the trailer which was returned on Tuesday. So he says I'll take off the $20. Really $54.for being two hours over after paying about $1600.00. Where's the customer service?

There was an issue with the UHAUL computer system so the location was unable to do anything online. All of my info needed to be hand written, including Credit card info. That was a bit bothersome, but they did a great job under the circumstances

It is abundantly clear that making a reservation for a specific item has no bearing on whether the vehicle or trailer reserved will be available. Twice now I have reserved a piece of equipment through U-Haul, a 26 foot truck in August and a 12 foot trailer in September, and both times the equipment was not available. On would wonder what is the point in the reservation? Fortunately, on both occasions I was able to get the equipment from another facility, however, I had to make a 60 mile trip for the truck and a 30 mile trip for the trailer.

No one answers the phone at this location (Auburn, ME). I had to make a reservation through a different location, who were amazing but didn't have the size trailer I needed. While the person I spoke with face to face was pleasant enough, they were not very forthcoming. He asked me what time I'd be returning the trailer (which was full of twigs from the previous renter) and said it was fine if I did so after they closed, but he failed to mention there was a $20 fee for that. He only said I'd have to take some pictures. I was only 38 minutes late. Had I known, I'd have made sure to be there before they closed to save myself $20, but they didn't answer the phone when I called to let them know I'd be late. The self-return feature of their website didn't work, either so I called the following morning to make sure everything was ok. No one answered and my call was eventually routed to Phoenix where someone explained why my bill exceeded what I originally thought was quite affordable. She graciously offered to let the manager know I wished to dispute the charge and said he'd give me a call. As you can imagine, I've yet to hear anything.

While I appreciate the use of the vehicle. I specifically told the representative when she mentioned my ex's name, Please REMOVE THAT NAME. She failed to do so apparently, because my ex called and asked why he recieved confirmation on a uhaul reservation. This was unacceptable!!! I did not want him to know I was moving. This put me at risk. Secondly, when I arrived at the Uhaul dealership in Auburn, Maine, The manager at the desk had the most unhelpful customer service I have recieved.
