The maintenance man offered help multiple times. He was nearby because the light in our unit was not working but in addition to working on the light fixture he went way above and beyond to help us! The men inside the front office were helpful and professional. If I could make one suggestion it would be to offer more assistance when dropping the rental trailer once we had it empty.

I meant to cancel my coverage at the counter and she failed to do that for me, so I just paid 15 extra bucks. Plus, because of fuel gauge did not work properly at the gas station, I overfilled gas. According to my mileage, 1~2 gallons would be enough, but I needed to fill the tank with 4 gallons. Is there anyway to get compensation for this? (I'm not blaming the employee at the branch as I decided to pay it at the end. But after I paid extra for gas, I felt like I paid to much for this rent. That's all.)

The steering and front suspension if the truck I rented was worn out and dangerous. I had to constantly fight the wheel at speeds above 50 mph to keep the truck in the road. The gas cap was broken so I had to go to the location for advice before refueling which added to the mileage charge. The employees were friendly and helpful but the equipment is worn out dangerous junk. I would recommend to a friend but would advise to be careful.

Chris, is the kind of person/employee you might want to utilize more in your company, ie: I rented a space leaving on a 6 mos. trip out west, trip ended after 4-5 mos., while loading van, he spoke, while working in area, and upon letting him know I didn’t need space anymore,and conversation, he remembered my trip and my destination.

My only complaint is the rate kept going up and up and up. Three increases from when I signed on is a little ridiculous personally but I get it. Also, why in the world would you require to swipe out of the secure area. Swipe to enter I totally understand and thought that was great but swipe to leave is insane. Just inconvenient to get out of your vehicle to swipe out when it should just raise. Just my opinion. Thanks!

The gate was not working and the guy was very bullish, nasty, aggressive. He snapped on me and told me if I needed his name he would tell me so if I needed to report him, he had the entry of the gate blocked, instead of helping me, he walked upon my car like ge was going to approach me, he was very angry. It didn't get any better when I went in to close the account, the guy and female was nasty as well

I discussed move our date with the gentleman in the office by the name of Chris and also an older lady as well it was July 1st when I moved out I told them a month in advance that I was moving out so that was June the 1st and again I moved out July the 1st, you all need to fixs your dates.

The facility, layout and services were all good. However, the storage prices are higher than at other locations. The hallway where my storage unit was located was partially dark because a couple of the hallway lights were out; so, I had to use my cell phone flashlight inside the unit to see and place items. The facility offers two on-site moving carts, but only one was a useful flat cart while the other cart had permanent bars that wrapped around the top of the cart--making it useless since the bars prevented any item stacking. The move-in process took longer because we could only use the one flat cart for unloading.

The manager was nice on the phone. In person, she was very unprofessional. She made me feel like a criminal. I never argued with her, but she wanted to embarrass and degrade me in front of others. She threatened to call the police, even though I didn't do anything but try to move. She and the janitor was watching me move. The unit area was hot and I had to take my time because I wasn't feeling well. I went through many problems over the last few months and I was sick when I moved out. I had back problems and dehydrated. I was fighting the pain and illness. The manager didn't care. She was screaming at me. I went home upset, crying, embarrassed, sick, and in shock. I will never go to another UHaul again.

Thank you to the lady that worked the morning of 1/1/2021 at the location 1420 Montgomery Hwy. Vestavia, Alabama she assisted my mom in getting this facility for me because the other Vestavia location was not open when it should have been. I would only recommend the vestavia hills location because of the guy that was working there. He was extremely focus on the customer & made my extremely bad experience with uhaul variable. we have used this location to store daughter dorm contents 3 summers in a row; it has been excellent every time; 1st 2 yrs were best because we had ground floor unit near entrance/exit/ofc & not too far buried in bldg; don't like having to go up elevators & down many halls & turns, but know it depends on what is available; mgr Sabrena Deming is tops

I would like to give a BIG shout out to Darrius Artis at this location. From the 1st day that I moved into the unit, until the last day, he has been a Superstar Represenattive of the U-Haul Company Brand. He assisted my family with every aspeect of our storage and rental needs. Yesterady when we arrived to pick up our truck, we were informed by the CSR on the phone that the keys were not dropped off and thus we had to wait for 2 hrs or see if another location had a similar truck. I saw Darrius in the store and asked for help. We explained the situation and he advised he attempted to reach us the prior day due to a system glich. Since the store was n't open yet and we had Glorified Movers coming in 20 minutes, he immediatley assisted us. We received our truck 15 minutes before the movers arrived. If you are looking for a good place with great service, go to this location and ask for Darrius, you will not be dissapointed. Thank you Darrius. Stay Safe and keep up the Great Work Sir.
