There was dirt in truck but we swept it out first. We did return it swept and cleaned.
MELISSA MThe equipment was clean and had been maintained as evidenced by the caulking all around the ceiling of the trailer. We traveled through some rain on our trip and arrived to find the trailer had leaked and got some of the contents wet.

Thomas DThere was miscommunication with picking up the Uhaul. This was my first experience, and the clerk walked off which I thought was to get my keys. Another clerk checked on me and said my clerk was pulling my Uhaul around. My bf and I got in that Uhaul after we watcher her pull it around and we drove off. It was someone else's Uhaul.
NICOLE CThe staff at this location is terrible. It is obvious they hate their jobs and nobody is properly managing them. They don't welcome you when you arrive, they don't ask if they can help you. They mumble. The girl that helped us had airpods in her ears the entire time. She was talking to what I believe was a friend, then her "momma" called so she had to switch lines. At one point, she pulled up her shirt and stuck her finger in her belly button. Um, wut!?! She also friendly punched one of the guys working there although he didn't seem thrilled by it. Nobody ever said thank you. It really was a shockingly bad experience. If I was managing the location, I should be fired. Clean house and start over!

Tom MWhen I got there for pick up they told me my pick up location was changed to another city! That did not work since I had help to load lines up based on my month old confirmed reservation! Regional folks who probably changed my location to start with worked with me when I called them and got it back to my original location, so all good. But, you can’t change someone’s reservation the day before pick up! Most have movers and other things scheduled based on their Approved Reservation!

sarah mNext to zero help at the renting location. ended up doing most of it on my phone while standing around to find personnel. When asked baotu the location ofthe truck, she commented "the one with the green $19.95 sticker on the side." Every rentable vehicle onthe proerpty had this sign on its side. The truck was not well maintained. Interior cab reeked of smoke. Interior of trailer reeked of something worse. We had to air it out and spray it down before we would load our stuff inside. Truck broke down on way to return trip.
Dawn WThe staff told me that they didn’t have room for the trailer and sent me to another location over two miles away. It was very difficult to turn the trailer around. I had to drive around the storage center to get out of the parking lot. While driving through the storage center I saw plenty of spaces to drop the trailer. It seemed to me that the staff didn’t want to be bothered by me and leave the office. He said he would change my contract but he did not. This transaction doesn’t indicate where I dropped off the trailer. I didn’t feel good about that.

KEVIN WThis place was a confused mess. Truck park in the front of the lot making it difficult to get in. No visible associates to greet me. Followed the signs to drop off then someone came and said i had to go to the other side of the building. The parking lot was a crowded mess. No one there to help remove the trailer. Went inside and waited for a long time to check in. Two associates hanging around doing nothing, completely disinterested in providing service. Terrible experience - the opposite of the pickup experience. Ruined my image of Uhaul and won't be back.
SEAN OI was overcharged. I asked if it was possible to only rent the vehicle for the minimum four hours, but was charged for the eight and 100 miles. I only went 28 miles and return the vehicle on full. The lady told me that they would only charge me for the miles that I used, but apparently I have been charged for the full 100 amount! This is outrageous. I spent two days searching around the city just to find piss poor service. None of the vehicles that I desired were available so I had to choose something else and end up being overcharged.

JERRY PI had a reservation for the Pelham location and I was notified the day before, pickup was at Vestavia. My drop off location was also listed as Pelham. But since I picked up from Vestavia I had to return the trailer there because when you select the same pickup and drop off location it’s considered a round trip and you can not return it to any other location. I was also told that you have to get damage coverage for a flat tire even if it’s from normal driving. I found out that the best thing to do is find a U-Haul company that will give you answers instead of lies. Vestavia is not recommended.
Thomas KWhen the Uhaul was picked up, it was asked if the dolly was inside the truck and the employees stated that the dolly was in the back of the truck. As soon as we pulled up to my apartment complex and opened the back of the truck, there was no dolly. I called 1800-468-4285 and advised the customer service rep that it was no dolly in the back of the uhaul, he reassured me that we would not be charged for the dolly and that it would be noted for uhaul . The uhaul was return at approximately 9:00 p.m. and when I received my receipt this morning, I felt as if we were accused of stealing a dolly and was charged for it. Being in law enforcement I and knowing how many reports we get on people stealing uhauls and equipment, I don’t like how it made me feel and having the feeling of being reported to law enforcement in Vestavia for a report on a stolen dolly under my name is slandering!

JAMIN MI made my reservation nearly a month before I needed the trailer. U-Haul Corporate changed my pick up location from Vestavia to Jamison the day before I was to pick up the trailer. Jamison would have resulted in me having to make an hour and a half round-trip just to pick up the trailer. I was not happy with my pick up location being changed at the last minute.

I had movers scheduled, so now we are out double the money for movers because of how long it took for the person who showed at 9:45 to help us. Both employees who came took personal phone calls on their cell phones while assisting customers who had been waiting an hour for the store to open up. My first month of storage was supposed to be free per the promo and the employee charged me and then informed me there was nothing she could ro and I would have to come back next month if I got billed then. When we came back in after unloading to return the truck, an employee was sitting behind the desk on a stool sleeping. My husband got a picture of this. Unprofessional, untimely, rude.
