That day I picked up truck the guys behind the counter were not as friendly as they should be to a customer. Besides this issue, I needed 12 moving blankets. They picked up the bag and didn't count them. I got back to the house and started loading the truck with the furniture only to discover I had "6"! I had to drive back to the pick up site to get "6" more. They need further training to be more alert to things.GREGORY M.
Thought we might be late so we called in the last hour of service but on hold with 24/7 customer service. The facility was still open with one minute to spare!!! We are grateful they helped us even though they were officially closed. Above and beyond what is called for, is excellent service! Thank you to the employees that stayed. General Manager is always in a bad mood. Went to purchase propane, was told to come back later it would be at least 20 minutes. I told him no problem, thanked him for letting me know, went on to run my errands. Returned one hour later. When the attendant finally got around to arriving at the propane station, he was smoking a Black and Mild and talking on the phone. I thought he was homeless at first because he was in a black t-shirt with no identifying uniform or name tag. Same issue when renting trailers. Not a smile to be found in that place...Ashley M.
The man outside who directed me where to park was kind enough to me, but he was rude and hurried when telling another customer walking through the parking lot to get out of my way. It seemed like the other customer may have had mobility issues and I am a patient person. I understand a "sense of urgency" but not everything is urgent.Ryan H.
This location seems to be understaffed. I visited two other Uhaul locations seeking the correct truck and this location seemed to be struggling in comparison. I was told at this location that they â€œcouldn't see other stores inventoryâ€, but other stores were able to see, book, and send me back to this location because it had exactly what I needed. Seems like a leadership issue with employees being able to say that and/or customer service issue based around the fact that the statement is inaccurate and untrue. This location in Vestavia Hills was great, and the kind gentleman who helped me was awesome! My overall Alabama Uhaul experience was a bit stressful, but turned out well in the end. I ordered my truck for 28th st in Birmingham, but they don't have one-way trucks, so my â€œconfirmedâ€ 10 foot truck was supposed to be 30 mins away in McCalla. When I got there, no truck. First call to customer service, I was told there were no 10 or 15 foot trucks within about 80 miles. I tried to figure something else out, but couldn't and had to call back. That time, I got a different customer service rep, and she was an absolute angel! She called all over and helped me get a 15 foot truck in Vestavia Hills, and saved the day. I wish I could remember her name (I am terrible with names), because she needs a raise!Kayli B.
The truck I rented had not been cleaned in a long time, it was dusty on the outside (no problem) and dirty, greasy, grimy, sticky all over on the inside plus stains on the seat and rest of food lying around. I needed to ask for cleaning wipes to feel ok driving it. While I understand that the equipment may have been rented a lot, that did not give me a good impression of your service. Kudos to the representative at the location that was friendly and helped me with wipes without further questions.ULRIKE F.

The only problem was that I was suppose to have 12 moving blankets and they were not placed in the truck! When I got to my destination, thats when I realized that they were not in the back of the truck. We didn't have time to go back and get them! Yet I called and they said they would deduct them. When I dropped off truck last night, the bill still had them on there. Now I have to call them AGAIN THIS morning to ask for refund! Very inconvenient.BERTHA D.
