Nothing really! I went in to downsize my truck. I still had 4 items on the 25 foot truck that I had to transfer over to the smaller truck. Von went out of his way to to help me with the transfer. I tried to tip him but he wouldn’t take it. He really a polite young man. You really need more people like him working for you! Thanks…..

I had a very disappointing experience with the U-Haul McKinney location, particularly with the store manager, Morgan. I rented a U-Haul for one day and picked it up toward the end of the day on September 1. When I asked about returning the truck the following day, I was told that if the store was closed, I could use the after-hours return service and leave the truck. Since my one-day rental was ending around the last hour of the following day, I understood this to mean that using the after-hours return process would be acceptable if I couldn't make it before the store closed. Unfortunately, when I received my receipt, I discovered that I had been charged for two days instead of one because the truck was returned after the store had closed. I acknowledge that I should have explicitly confirmed whether there would be an additional charge for returning the truck after business hours. However, this was clearly an honest misunderstanding based on the information provided to me at checkout. What was even more disappointing was my conversation with Morgan, the manager. I explained the situation and requested a one-time exception, considering this was a genuine miscommunication and an honest mistake. Even though she appeared to understand that this was not an intentional attempt to keep the truck longer, she showed virtually no empathy or willingness to help resolve the situation. Instead, she repeatedly insisted on the same point despite my explaining that I had misunderstood the checkout instructions. The conversation felt unnecessarily confrontational and frustrating rather than customer-focused. A manager should be able to distinguish between someone deliberately violating a rental agreement and a customer who genuinely misunderstood the return instructions. She kept repeating this statement " You do know that the rental is for 24 hrs correct?" for anything you say. Classic case of rage baiting someone. PATHETIC !!! To make matters worse, I was also told that I had not completed the after-hours check-in process when I returned the truck. That was particularly frustrating because I spent approximately 15 minutes completing the return process through the U-Haul app, taking and submitting all the photos requested before dropping off the keys. Overall, the experience was extremely disappointing. Mistakes and misunderstandings can happen, but what truly matters is how a company and its representatives handle them. I expected at least some level of customer empathy and a willingness to consider a reasonable one-time exception. I am genuinely astonished that someone displaying such little customer empathy and problem-solving ability is in a managerial position for a customer-facing organization like U-Haul. Pathetic and disappointing customer service. I would strongly encourage customers to not use this store or use any store where Morgan is the manager.

Absolutely the worst experience I’ve had at U-haul. The counter person was helpless and the mobile app kept giving me issues taking photos of the truck. Took me over an hour to check-in and there was no line. I walked straight up to counter. I had already began checkin before I even got out of my car. The truck was dirty. The truck attendant was goofing off and I was trying to ask questions. Just overall bad experience. Not sure I will ever be back.

Charged me an Extra $1000 for having to return it early to a different location due to a Death in my Family. Left them A note explaining. Guess they don't care. Recommend any other place but UHAUL. More like U-Over Charge for no reason. They also charged an Extra cleaning fee. I returned it cleaner than how they dispatched it to me. Greed and No heart won't ever use them again. Period.

Stood waiting for customer service about 5 minutes. I was the second of two people in the store and ignored by two workers. Would have made me feel a lot better to have been greeted or even acknowledged. That my 3rd rental from this location. Convenient, but they only have one good worker.

Location was just average. I was thoroughly disappointed with the process. I thought the 'skip the line' process would actually be that. I completed all the steps prior to my arrival, then finished the remaining steps when I arrived, only to be told to go in and do more of the same steps I had already completed. The app said to go to the front of the line but I still had to wait for the 1 employee working to help another customer (that I watched walk in while I was sitting outside - I could have just gone in first) before they came over to me to only ask for my id and scan me in the system. Once I had the van, i was asked to take photos and they were not saving, so i just left without taking the. Upon return, I parked in the drive through and I was told that I did not need to complete the in app steps.

Awesome drop off guys are on top of everything, no waiting for someone to come outside or anything, and even the person I talk to on the phone was able to push back my return time a little bit when I was running late and she was very personable. Overall, perfect experience all the way around.

Great experience with U-Haul! The van was clean, ready on time, and the whole rental process was quick and easy. Everything went smoothly from pickup to return, which made moving day so much less stressful. Friendly service, fair pricing, and no issues at all. Definitely recommend! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

After closing out my account and receiving email documentation from uHaul, my emergency contact received a late payment notice. Did I receive this notice? No I did not. Once I contacted uHaul aobut the situation, I was told the location forgot to close out the account. Even so, why would uHaul not try to contact me directly first? The site itself was mediocre. Someone was feeding a herd of wild cats in my storage area, there was always cat food and water in it and I guess the facility never noticed or did not bother to care since I had a corner location. Additionally, the young employees would race the trucks through the yard moving the rental equipment around and not be polite about giving way to the renters moving large scale RVs and trailers.

I called earlier in the day because of so many inconveniences I was offered a few extra days at no cost to me. I had the trailer for another 18 hours and when we dropped it off they charged us for an extra day... Despite the phone called hours prior.

The pickup process was a breeze. The only grievance I have is that the miles reported and fuel gage reading on the final receipt were incorrect and I was incorrectly charged. I had to call up u haul customer service and provide the before and after pictures of the fuel gauge & Odometer to get a refund.

We’ve rented from this location several times, and this most recent experience was by far the best. The process was smooth, the staff was attentive, and everything was handled with a level of care that really stood out. Each interaction reinforced why we continue to come back, but this one truly exceeded expectations.

The price was right. The facility itself was adequate. The employees did the best they could and many times very helpful. My biggest complaint is the facility is infested with rodents. Every piece of property that I had stored at this facility was covered in rodent feces and urine. I was fairly shocked that the property I had stored here was absolutely covered. It’s hard to give even a mediocre review when the whole reason you store property is to save it, protect it and have it to use another day. Boxes, wires, exercise equipment were chewed thru and damaged.

Worst customer expirence I’ve ever had. My first issue is that they did not allow me to use van (which I had reserved in advance) because we didn’t not have texas license. This issue is not with the location but with U-Haul alone. I wish I had been advised of this before rental because I was not confident in driving a normal sized U-Haul. My second issue is that their system was apperantly running slow so getting the vehicle took forever and since the U-Haul was not prepared they had to go get it which also added to the time. This is an issue for me because I had committed to a time to pick something up and they almost didn’t give it to me because I was late.My third, and last, issue is that the lady helping us may have been one of the rudest people I’ve ever encountered. Her customer service was terrible and she did not seem in a rush to help or get our issues fixed. Only postive thing I will say is that all the other employees we encountered were very friendly.

Returned the trailer Sunday 8/2/26 at 4:28 PM. Told they would scan and send me receipt. Used UHaul Chat and spoke to Robert at customer Service because no receipt had been sent. This morning, my wife drove to the drop off location. They had no idea. Guy went to the storage lot behind the facility and was gone for quite a while before he found the trailer, about an hour before I would have been charged for another day. Just got the receipt. This is no way to run a business.

Reserved furniture pads, visited the prior day to confirm that you would have them, and then only after the truck was brought out did I find out that there were no pads available. This is the second time of two long distance moves that this occurred in the last year. That left me without adequate protection for my household furniture - and no time to find alternate padding. Also - the truck was not cleaned before my rental. The windows were dirty (it looks like the prior renter had a dog in the cab), and there was trash and items under the center armrest when I raised it.

Previous office manager has grossly mismanaged the property where piles of trash is found everywhere and blowing in the wind. RV storage grounds were unsafe to tow. The lot next to me had a growing pile of trash including discarded oil, wood pallets, tires, and car parts. The ground was improved but not enough to stay. The gates are always broken and left wide open for access. The staff was powerless to decisions in assisting and deferred to a manager that was never present. I truly hope a private company purchase this location and run it as a responsible business, not Uhaul!

My two 10x20 units flooded every time it rained causing all my possessions to get ruined. On top of that the roaches infested my belongings and the rats urinated, dedicated and ate most of my things. Causing most of my most delicate items to be ruined. Yes I paid the $90 extra stormsafe insurance. But it is a scam since they require you to provide receipts for every single item inside your storage unit before they can appraise it after you send them every single item the they decide if it is damaged or destroyed, then they take their sweet time (months) to respond or even maybe not even return your items back to you before they’ll tell you that they can’t help You. The truck I received had marijuana inside of it, and it had just been smoked in so it smelled like marijuana and there was ashes and marijuana everywhere inside the truck. Also the employees are always slow and they smoke marijuana as well. One time I walked in there and the employees were eating at the computer and whenever I tried to make the rental truck rental, the employee had quite an attitude and he said that he would go get the truck and he would be right back I waited 25 minutes for him to go around back and get the truck whenever I went outside to my car and came back in asking him. Where is the truck? He said he had parked it out front by the highway, and it had been out there for the entirety of the time that I was waiting, but he never told me and when I went outside to see where it was, he had parked it right by the highway, not anywhere near the building and he had left the driver door open in the engine running so for 25 minutes this truck was running with the door open by the highway and it could’ve been stolen and then that would’ve been my responsibility so I do not think that these employees are very responsible or ethical, plus this is the truck that had the marijuana in it. If he can smell the marijuana he would not have given me that truck. Why would he give me a truck that had just had weed smoked in it and then actually had marijuana in it. They just didn’t clean a truck. They didn’t even care to clean it and me and my four year-old were stuck with this truck for three days and the reason because I couldn’t return the truck immediately that night was because they had already closed and it was dark outside. Speaking of dark outside the facility itself is not well lit at all. Also, I had come to get my stuff one night in my unit and my lock had been cut by someone not by the employees so my unit was opened by a stranger.

Rain ruts and pot holes all over vehicle storage area. Gate broken half the time. Trucks always parked in the way. Trash overfilled and never cleaned up. Workers always speeding across the vehicle storage causing lots of dust and dangerous situation. Parking spots too narrow for RVs parked next to each other. Propane refill is never dependable. They close it early, claim nobody on site is certified, or just makeup that it’s empty. Pulling in and out of facility coming from the East is impossible. Convenient location is all they have going for them. Staff seems high every time i have gone into talk to them.

The manager and his team are amazing. The team transferred our account information to a new storage unit, made sure the existing units were closed out, made sure the access card worked, checked the PIN code, set up the recurring payment source and double checked everything. Explained all my option clearly and was professional, fast, accurate and amazingly helpful. Could not ask for a better experience.

Overall staff and Facilities were Great! The only issue I did have was securing a space. The first 2 spots were occupied and finally got to one that wasn’t so I guess 3rd time was a charm. I was using a large trailer storage spot, I decided the drive from my home to the facility was too far (around 25-30 minutes). I walked inside and asked to remove my spot, unfortunately I had already been charged five days prior but did not realize it. When I asked when I was due for renewal the employee stated It had renewed on 9/5/2025. I said I would like to keep it for the next month since I had already paid, I felt this was vital information to have. The employee responded saying he had already removed me and could not add me back in without paying another $150 fdor the month. For this I am unhappy

I had an issue with this facility and auto draft. I had them set up my units for auto draft, and they could never get it to work correctly. It was hit and miss. I kept getting letters from U Haul for late payments. I had 4 units on 2 separate auto pays.

The facility provided electricity outlets in our space BUT IT NEVER WORKED!!!! We paid for that access but it was never provided! Office was always alerted and all they said was they would contact electrician next week, etc. Storage cite is overpriced for what is provided. Talked to other tenants who just brought their own generators because they said the outlets never worked!

There was no locked gate to the facility so it didn’t really offer a lot of security. We also had a rat infestation in our unit. We told the team early on and they said they’d try to fix it. However when we moved out of our unit there was rat urine and feces over a lot of our stuff. We ended up having to throw out our couch and several other items.

The unit I was rented initially was already occupied. Luckily I made it to the facility 10 minutes before they closed. They gave me another unit with was also occupied and ended up giving me a third. The code I set up to have access to the facility did not work, I did not find out until after hours. But luckily the gate was broken so I could still access my unit. It wasn't a smooth process at all.

Renting the truck was not a great experience. I went online to rent the truck from the Sweetwater, TX location. I had a confirmation of a pic up date, etc. Luckily I called the location to confirm and I was told they had no trucks at that location and they had me call the regional office in Abilene, TX. They informed me the nearest truck was Colorado City, TX. When I arrived to pick up the truck the dealer was in a run down sketchy motel and he could barley complete the registration/rental agreement. After that challenge, the truck was fine.

They just let their phones roll over to the corporate line who tells you that you need to go to the location. Not convenient when you’ve moved 1000+ miles away.

The move out date is INCORRECT !!! I moved out of the storage unit September 29, 2024 after hours. I called U-Haul to inform them because I kept getting notifications of uhauls attempt to process a payment and now I’m getting past due notices and addition charges notifications. Your cameras should see that I moved out around 6:00-6:30 pm on September 29, 2024. I don’t own any LATE FEES OR ADDITIONAL CHARGES. Not even the log out charge of $10 because it was BOGUS ! Because I shouldn’t have to log out fives times before the system accepts it when it only took me one time to login. Once I found out that was going on I put my code in once to sign in and five times or more to sign out! Seems to me that’s something purposely done.

When I rented my truck I dealt with identical twins at first (one named Issac). He was incredibly helpful despite their computer system going down and making it impossible for me to reserve a truck I badly needed. Their manager, Adam helped me the next day and was extremely polite, professional and helpful. THIS is the reason I have only used Uhaul for my moves/storage needs since I was 22 (I'm 49 now!). They treat me like a person, not just a number. When I was overheated moving my stuff into storage in 100+ degree heat they got me water and let me sit in front of their fan. I LOVE the employees because they treat me with respect! Thank you for hiring people that worry more about customer safety and satisfaction over cheap employees that just care about a pay check. It matters a lot to me that they care so much!

Adam,the manager is absolutely phenomenal! We were in a pickle with our rental and he went ABOVE and BEYOND to help us and put the customer first! I CANNOT THANK him enough for his generosity, and exceptional all around service and experience! We were using the unit to store belongings while our home was being renovated. As we tried to move belongings back, we found our unit was severely infested with bugs. It was so bad, many of our belongings had to be thrown away. Absolutely everything we kept had to be unpacked outside the house then cleaned and sanitized. I talked to a manager who promised call backs and other actions that never took place. We handled the bugs on our own. When we returned again to move more things back to our house, we found there had been a major rodent infestation. Books, pillows, and clothes were chewed through and ruined. Even reusable plastic water bottles were destroyed and there were mouse and rat droppings everywhere in our belongings. I informed the staff. They shrugged and said they’d let the manager know. We closed the unit and will NEVER use another UHaul storage system again. We had other units with other vendors in the area. No bugs, no rodents, no problems.

We had vintageand antique items in storage for an extended period of time. when we finally were able to clean out the last unit, there were rat dropping on everything and vintage linens were chewed up. I noticed there is open space at the top of the walls. I am very disappointed that those open spaces near the roofline were not covered with some sort of metal mesh to keep rodents out. Why are someone else's pest problems now my problem? If you need me to point out the issue, please let me know.

I said no to the maintained because I had an RV storage and I requested that they put down more gravel because my truck and trailer kept sinking due to the rain in the mud puddles back there and that is why I moved my RV I was told that it would be fixed. It was never fixed. I was told that eventually you were going to pave the storage area, but I don’t have time for my truck to keep getting stuck so that’s why I left had nothing to do with the management or the team. The Uhaul place was a very nice place. The manager was amazing. Very nice, but I’m sure out of his control of the lot being kept and y’all not caring to spend the money to fix the lot with the RVs are you can’t have it soft mud . .

I WOULD NEVER RECOMMENDS U-HAUL TO ANYONE !!!! The original storage wasn’t available when we arrived to unload, U-Haul representative deleted our reservation, which cost more money with our movers, storage facility and gas with truck. We reserved the movers thru U-Haul for 4 hours. U-Haul kept us there for 1.5 hrs due to our storage unit wasn’t available, which that time went into the movers time. This is the Worst experience Ever!!!! We reported all this & management supposed to call back & compensate, but we haven’t heard from anyone nor received any compensations. We are writing the CEO and voices all our concerns. This is VERY, VERY AWFUL CONSUMER SERVICE!!!!!!!!!!!!! We originally supposed to be at the East McKinney storage

UHaul needs to figure out a better customer service system. Every uhaul facility I have ever visited has lines out the door and they are SLOW. It’s every single place, so it isn’t the staff it’s a corporate problem. And the stores need to be set up to accommodate these lines.

While everything about the facility is fine, I am a bit unhappy with the spot that was assigned to me. Is is a 30' parking slot, but it is situated in such a way that it is difficult to get in and out of. I am storing a truck that takes up every bit of the space and it is something that I drive 5 days a week so it may be an issue. Also, it appears that a lot of water drains through that area and the gravel is just about gone, so come the rainy season it is going to be a giant mud pit.

I stored my rv almost 2 year. They have raise the rate without any pre-notification during the storing duration. I never complained that but at last they called if I leave the space or move to more expensive patio because they are planning construction. They wanted me to decide it in a week. It was hard to find another place to store my rv. And after I found another place much cheaper, they never reimbursed the rest of payment which I already made automatically every 1st day of month. Terrible service.

When I moved in with Uhaul’s moving truck I was offered a deal since I loaded my truck without knowledge that it was only an in town truck. My things spent nine days in the truck at I believe close to $100 per day something like that I was told that I would be offered half price however when I went to pay for the truck once I loaded it into the storage unit it was full price. I did not like the deception of that. However, I had no choice and loaded my stuff into the storage unit where it stayed for two years. I have given your facility a lot of my Money. I think I over paid for the truck initially although I know it’s been three over two years I still think that left a bad taste in my mouth otherwise everything was delightful.
