JUSTIN TThe process for access was confusing and I needed assistance. The floor in one of the hallways was missing tile. A renter left a ton of dirt all over the floor in one of the hauls. The rest of the facility was fine. General Manager was kind, understanding, friendly and helpful.
DAVID T | First ImpressionsThe trailer I was given wasn’t swept out and contained grass and manure. I’m sure the previous renter wasn’t charged the $15 cleaning fee, not should they be since your staff didn’t bother to clean it anyway. The service staff there are just unfriendly and act as though they don’t want to be there and don’t want you to be there. Barking orders at you, as if you work there and know (or care) what their processes are. I walk in and the person “at the desk” is sitting down with her head behind the monitor (not working, mind you). Doesn’t stand up, doesn’t greet me, tried to pretend she wasn’t there and I wasn’t there. The bell went off when I walked in so she was well aware I was approaching. Had this experience the last time when I returned a trailer too. You can do better. The man on the phone when I called Saturday to extend my trailer was terrific. So I know it’s not everyone. Also, I was asked for an “emergency contact” when I checked out the trailer. I’ve rented here several times (once just 3 weeks ago) and have NEVER been asked that before. It’s not on the online form either. Even rental car companies don’t ask for that. If your rental policies are that lax that you never enforce them, then don’t enforce them randomly on me. I suspect that this nonsense is for your storage rental business and not your vehicle rentals and that this particular employee was just a jerk because you unfortunately have several of those. Will I rent at this location again? Likely not, unfortunately. The first time the employees were kind of jerks, I said anyone can have a bad day and maybe it’s just one person. It’s not just one person. These people do not like their jobs and should not be allowed to interact with your customers.

JEREMY HI got a free month on February 20th I month would of been the 20th of march, so worried about getting money and I didn’t even get a full free month, they been on my butt about a payment since the first. So they locked me out my unit so I couldn’t move out in time. Cause I just wanted the free month. $250 is way to much for a 10 by 20 when I had a 12 by 30 for $190 a month. I don’t recommend uhaul storage!! That free months will screw you over. Never again

AMY KI'm a boardgame collector. I needed a climate control unit to store my collection in while I was living in a hotel. Thanks to this storage unit I was able to keep them safe for an entire year. They are in the same condition I put them in storage in....I think. I haven't gone through every game. I have a lot, so many that I don't actually know the exact number. If I find mouse damage or something. I will let you know. But all the boxes are intact, so that is unlikely.

KEVIN MThe only complaint i have is i needed a trailer for one last move only 12 miles And I have 2018 Jeep wrangler rubicon with a soft top. Their policy is no SUV's with a soft top is allowed to pull an open top trailer. My Jeep is equipped with a full roll cage the only difference between my soft top and a hard top is a light covering of fiberglass and glass windows On a Jeep Rubicon I feel this not a safety concern not with a full roll cage and full size 35in spare tire mounted on the tail gate This should be determined on the specific vehicle that is pulling the trailer. In the end I was forced to rent a pickup to pull their trailer It's appears to be a revenue booster to me Over all everything worked very well and the staff i worked with were vary pleasant to work with.

Michelle BWhile dropping the trailer off, I complained about the lack of customer service, as I was told to drop the trailer off at a location further from my home than planned, a day earlier, and at additional expense to me. The representative showed no interest in my concern, and when I mentioned that she didn't seem to care, she just grunted at me. I even coached her about unplugging the trailer wiring by the plug instead of the wires, which could possibly damage the wiring. She only seems perturbed with me. She was anything but friendly or accommodating. Normally, I would have offered to help disconnect the trailer, but because of her attitude, chose to stand there and let her struggle with it herself. She didn't even bother to thank me for doing business with UHaul. Prior to this experience, all of my transactions with UHaul have been satisfactory. All in all, this was a lousy enough experience with UHaul to make me look elsewhere should I need to rent equipment again.

JESSE BI rent a storage unit from the westdale location every month and it is ALWAYS ready to go when i need it. The online move in process is very convenient and quick. It literally takes a minute. And when you arrive at uhaul, they even have a free lock in your unit. Their customer service is exceptional. They are very helpful and nice. I really would recommend giving uhaul storage of westdale a try next time you need a storage unit.
Bobbi K | Online Move In300 miles into my trip the front driver side trailer hub broke off and stuck me on the side of the road for 3 hours plus waiting for a replacement trailer. Jennifer the general manager was great to work with but the equipment needs to get serviced before taking on long trips.

Ginnell SHuge, brand new facility. Well-organized and maintained. ALLLLLLLLLL you moving supplies you could ever dream you need, and then some. I only interacted with one staff member, but she was MOST helpful, SUPER friendly, and extremely efficient. I would definitely go back here!

ANDREW AI pulled my things out of U-Haul storage after several Months of them not having access to a fork lift which limited the facility from performing service with the U Box. After speaking with the manager about what could be done I opened a storage account for 30 days under the free trial. At the close of the trial I called to see if the fork lift had been fixed and was advised no. I spoke with the same manager who was rude and couldn’t recall our previous conversation and acted as if she didn’t know what occurred previously. I decided to remove my belongings and would not recommend or do business at that location again. I’ve used U haul on several occasions and it will be a last option for me to use them again.

I unloaded two containers Oct-2-24 and two weeks later I was charged a storage fee, U-Haul had my empty containers in their possession for two week and on 10-15-24 they withdrew 85.55 for storage fees, my contract ended two weeks earlier. still waiting for a refund, no response from emails concerning my refund to date 11-21-24 strongly recommend U-Haul be avoided completely, very unprofessional business model.

RANDALL CI hope you guys charged whatever customer had previously smoked in the truck I rented. The dash/console area underneath radio had ash/burn marks from where someone had tried to use it as an ashtray. I only needed the truck for a 20 mile move, but I could not wait to get out of this truck because of the smell...not to mention that I had to change clothes after using it as the smell stuck to me. The truck mechanically was fine for my application, but with the smoke odor I would not rent this unit out to paying customers. Again, hope the original smoker was charged. Staff were very friendly at both pick up and return!!

SCOTT RHorrible experience.. picked up uhaul on Saturday morning. Guy just gave me the keys so I was left searching for a truck in the dark. As I was searching a very rude lady started screaming at me about looking at trucks as I was searching for mine. Apparently she thought I was stealing something. No apologies from her at all, she just talked down to me saying the truck was up the hill. Then to top it off the heater didn't work in the truck..
RICK PMy rental wasn't put through the system correctly. I needed truck for 2 days. I ended up hiring 2 people to quickly unload the truck to return within the 1 day. But when I arrived I was charged for the second day any way.
JULIE MUHaul team members were very professional and personable, setting a favorable standard for future team members to aspire towards. I realize that teams members do not set company/corporate policy, however, as a client, I would have appreciated a prorated fee associated with a partial day versus full day rental rate. Overall, this UHaul location and it’s associates provide very fine service and equipment.

The womens bathroom was almost alway ls dirty with clog toilets. The alarm almpst always went off every time I opened my storage door. And there were plenty of times we couldn't axceds because the card wouldn't work and we had to come back another day to get my belongings. I will admit that the staff was very helpful in taking care of the matter. And they were kind to deal with. Over all I would recommend and even use again myself.

We called the front office and he turned them off. We went to open our second unit and yep... alarms went again! It took over an hour to get a new unit assigned to me, which was on the other side of the building, and that unit was also doubled locked and unavailable. I ended up finding an open 10x10 myself because I was there for 3 hours, had to be to work and paying the movers by the hour. After I move and get my things out of this unit I will never ever use U-Haul services for any reason ever again.

I later saw my things for sell on EBay. The blond haired boy that worked there would not allow me to be present when my lock was being replaced to my own unit! I was forced to remain in the lobby by this employee watching the locksmith take 2 totes to his vehicle with my things in them as he drove off. I called the local police and they told me it was a civil matter. So, the moral of the story is- if you operate a storage facility the people paying for the units have their rights violated by the employees.

The key card wouldn’t work, I went to the office to let them know and asked if there was a pin I could get incase this happens again - the front desk guy just told me he deactivated my card and now it should work. When we got to our unit there was a lock already on it. I went to the office to let them know, they gave us a new unit. When I went back to check on our new unit they gave us it already had a lock on it as well. I went back to the office yet again just to wait in line for 10-20 minutes before someone finally came back into the office to help me. We finally got a unit that did not have a lock on them, but they were a lot smaller then the original unit we had reserved. Thankfully no issues with the truck. Overall, terrible experience.

JEANCY F | First ImpressionsI had rented a 10' z 10' and the associate put me in 2 - 5" x 5" units which I had questioned so tried to accommodate her need but that didn't work so had to go back to request what I initially had signed up for. I also thought that you could drive right to the unit but that wasn't the case so took a bi more time but at least it was climate controlled.
John V | Online Move InEach time I needed to speak with staff there would be multiple employees working, usually 5 or more but only 1 helping clients. The rest would stand behind the counter and the line would get extremely backed up, as well as when customers would come in that were being loud and demanding instead of stating they would need to wait in line like everyone else the staff would let them skip to the front of the line. Questions always seemed to need to be talked over with a manager or someone of a higher status before being able to continue. As well as staff arguing with each other in front of customers. If you plan to stop in or call this location you need to plan at least an hour per visit as the staff aren't friendly and overall most don’t seem fully trained. The actual storage units were nice and well cared for, it’s just a shame the staffing/customer service doesn’t match.

Kim C | First ImpressionsI appreciate the fact that I was offered a free unit for the month, but it was not disclosed to me that the unit was on the second level of the facility...I had my entire house to move. There was absolutely no way that I was going to haul everything across the store, to the elevator, and to the storage unit. I was also told the unit was able to fit a 3 bedroom house....It was ridiculously small and we fit everything into a 10x26 truck. There was no way this unit could have been able to house a 3 bedroom home. I surrendered the unit and got a different one elsewhere. Super frustrating that the website didn't specify that it was on the second story.

Aaron S | Overall ExperienceAfter reserving outside storage due to ease of unloading well ahead of a 9 hour drive to the facility we arrived and they did not have what we reserved and had not for many weeks and basically said not their problem it is corporate U-Haul's issue because they do not track inventory availability at stores. The people working had no solution other than to charge me more for inside storage and when trying to even back the trailer in it was nearly impossible as not enough room was available to back into unloading zone. There was no moving dollies in the area and I called the owner and got no help at all and was told well you can't use the ones in store they are for sale and later said "well I guess we could let you use one we rent"... Totally unacceptable service and care for customer. Should not reserve something they do not have. I have another rental in a week for a truck and if I could arrange an alternative to U-Haul I would as this is very very poor service and considering people moving and using the equipment are typically doing the move by themselves and at the end of a long long and tiring trip do not appreciate or expect such lack of service. Extremely unimpressive and I will Not at all recommend U-Haul to anyone if the independent stores act like this and leave people with the frustration and no help we experienced. I have no alternative for my rental on 20th of June but will FOR SURE tell all that will listen how poor of service and zero customer service with attitude on top of that. I would have hoped people who are allowed to purchase and run stores under U-Haul brand name would need to meet some kind of minimum level of customer service policy, procedure, or expectations. If you want to talk to me I would be glad to share my experience and frustration and further define why this is at least in my eyes and experience unacceptable. I would think if U-Haul does not track and keep accurate or nearly accurate equipment and space availability maybe such a system readily available on the market and used by many should be investigated. I never was able to get anyone on the phone to assist me when I wasn't able to get the website to take my payment method properly. I had to wait for them to call me when the payment was late. To be fair, they waived the late fee this caused but first I had to have some young kid threaten to sell my belongings before he would slow down and listen to why I hadn't paid. Overall, this was the most frustrating and worst experience I have ever had with a storage unit. I have used U Haul for storage units several times in the past happily but after this experience I am not sure I ever will again.

I’ve waited for an hour to speak with staff about problems that should be a quick fix because majority of staff is standing around. Then they don’t follow the line, whoever walks in and is the loudest they help next. The actual storage unit is fine but the lack of help from staff and their lack of knowledge to simple answers make the whole process incredibly frustrating. The lady who seems to be in charge is often doing multiple things because other staff don’t seem to know how to complete requests on their own, she’s very knowledgeable and friendly but most other staff are not.

The directions for getting through the locked door when this happens are very unclear. Perhaps it should be posted: (as I learned): Swipe your card in the right terminal, then in the left terminal, to enter. There could be more of the rolling carts (non-mattress); when a couple of customers were moving at the same time, one had to carry things by hand instead of using the cart.

Unable to unload my truck and was told the only person who can fix the door is at lunch and would have it fixed in the next hour. Came back two hours later and still no access. The clerk said everyone was busy and not able to fix the door, even though the general manager and three uniformed employees were out by the main entrance smoking the entire time. Makes absolutely NO sense, this was not a result of a lack of employees but a result of laziness. Wasted an entire day dealing with inept employees and obviously management, and still do not have a rental unit to unload my truck.

She had me on hold 5 minutes while she went to see why their lock was still on it and then assured me it was unlocked! Don't trust her one bit.

There was plenty of room to back up a truck and trailer into loading area. Staff was friendly and helpful. The only issues I noticed was a truck parked in the loading area for a long period of time that was not actively moving items to and from a unit. I believe this to be a loading area and not a parking garage. The center overhead door was not working to loading area. The restroom facility I used had one toilet that would not flush and there was no soap in the dispenser. Those 3 minor things I mentioned did not affect my decision for my rating. Thanks.

She said oh she forgot she would be there in a few minutes.After almost 2 hours there I just cancel my order and left.. No free month storage is worth being inconvenient this much

After arguing with me for several minutes, the employee was able to solve the issue I had called about in 10 seconds which made the rest of the call feel like a waste of time. The unit that was made available for me was very dirty and chalky on the ground. It looked like cement dust or flour and it was everywhere. I had to lay down sheets to prevent my belongings from being caked in it. The one positive is that it was very easy to get into the unit and the loading area was very large

(That's half an hour at the counter, not in line - I wouldn't blame a long line on employees.) Staff took an extremely long time to enter my information, and in some cases I had to spell my name or street address up to four times. For example, when I gave them the name "Margie" and spelled it for them, they spelled it "marde". I then respelled it, and they spelled it "marde" again. I had to spell it twice more before they spelled it correctly. Staff failed to apply my month of free storage from my reservation, and I had to point it out and then they had to back up and do it again. Staff told me I was using the same phone number twice, when I was in fact using two different phone numbers that simply had some digits in common - I have no idea why they couldn't tell two different phone numbers apart, but I had to argue with them for over a minute before they would acknowledge that two distinct phone numbers were not in fact the same phone number. Staff assigned me to the unit in the furthest back of the facility, even though there appeared to be plenty of units available closer to the loading area. (This one could be on the system, or maybe none of those units were the right size. I would normally give them the benefit of the doubt here, were it not for everything else that went wrong.) Staff did not explain the layout of the facility, and pointed me towards the wrong loading area. Staff did not explain how the alarm system worked, or where I was supposed to swipe my access card. I had to provide two street addresses and three phone numbers, and the staff would not explain why. Overall this was one of the worst experiences I've ever had at any business, and if anyone I know ever needs storage I will be strongly recommending that they go anywhere but here.

The reason for losing it was that other customers bought them up - that means that a reservation doesn't mean anything at UHUAL. very little help when I had a question or request, most of the conversations ended with statements like "I don't know". I move very frequently and I constantly have issues with UHUAL, but this facility, their staff, and their lack of responsibility over my possessions has pushed me to NEVER use UHUAL again. If I could, I would give Zero Stars.
