The right break light and back right turn signal light don’t work. It was quite unsafe for a long distance moving.
Hsin-Yu HThis is the second time we used this U-Haul location and each time we have found carpentry nails in the lot. We picked them up and threw them away. It’s upsetting that the lot is not kept better for this. I know that trucks are coming in and out but shouldn’t they be checking for this problem? — we do not want flat tires on our vehicle just because we are patronizing our local U-Haul!
TIMOTHY LIt was a little confusing to have to re-do the application on the app, even if I submitted details online the day before. The app was also pretty slow in processing speed compared with other apps. The location and staff were great however and the check in was smooth
Joe Kcalled the day before and spoke with Ricardo who was very helpful and assisted me with the reserving a auto hauler. upon arrival he was on hand to walk me through the rental process and was extremely professional and polite. the yard staff was a big help, both when i picked the trailer up and when i returned it. the trailer itself towed great and got the job done with out any issues. would recommend to anyone looking to move an automobile

Ms Martinez, I just logged a complaint against you w UHaul home office stating that you hung up on me. Luckily, all calls are recorded. Second, bc you refused to send the picture, or any proof that the truck was on 1/4 tank when I drove it off your lot, I am disputing this charge. As I stated to you multiple times, the truck was given to me almost on empty. Since you acknowledged that the truck was only driven 29 miles, it could not have been given to me at a quarter tank of gas, unless the truck gets roughly 2 miles to the gallon. (I.e. the truck was driven 29 miles and you at stated that it used an entire quarter of a tank of gas). I tried to explain this logic to you, but you interrupted me multiple times, while dealing with other customers/ employee issues in the background. You never gave me the opportunity to explain. This is highly unprofessional. As I stated to you, the gas gage was just above empty when I drove off the lot, and I then added $15 of regular gas, which I thought would be adequate for the 20+ miles that I needed to drive and would return it at the same level of gas you provided it to me. i would recommend that you review your records so you can evaluate how your service people allowed a truck to be given to a customer on empty. I was not feeling well, and I forced myself to get up. If I knew o would still be charged I would of just stayed with it. I have been a loyal customer for years including now. I have a storage units and in less than a week this has been my 2nd U-Haul.

ROBERT EI have used this location several times and on two occasions, there was no one in the office and I had to wait, sometimes 15 minutes for someone to come and help me. Door unlocked, nobody there. The truck was clean but mechanically, very poor. It bounced all over the road.

Ervin HI waited 15 minutes in the lobby waiting for an employee to come and help. There was no one there. The truck was clean but not road worthy in my opinion. A virtual rattletrap, I'd recommend only because there is not another facility in the area. In fairness, the girl was very nice.
JOHNJOSEPH IFirst of all, how about responding to my written statement (copy below) to you via your website's "contact us". I can understand why your company provides such poor service. Even when you are contacted by a customer regarding the poor rental service received, you don't reply. Awful! Experience, in a word, AWFUL! My pickup was scheduled for 7 a.m, using the APP. I called days before to determine if I could enter my identification information before I arrived at Uhaul in white Plains so as to save time . I was told “YES”! That was error #1, I was misinformed, so I had to wait until I arrived at 6.30 a.m. day of pickup to use the app. I checked the vehicle and the hand trucks which I ordered were not in the van. In addition, there was a pool of water in the front of the cargo area. So now I was forced to wait until 7 a.m. to get the equipment and change vans. Re, the app, It eventually timed out on me. Another reason I had to wait until the location “opened” at 7 a.m. Well, supposedly opened at 7 a.m. Unfortunately, it was 7:10 when the worker arrived, as I stood in the rain at the Entrance door. The solution I was offered was more “free blankets’ to mop up the pooled water in the van. Well, since I already was charged for the blankets I ordered in advance, I really didn’t need more blankets, other than to do what one of your (U Haul) workers should have done to prepare the van. Unfortunately, the blankets didn’t totally dry the floor of the van, so when I arrived home, I had to use my leaf blower to dry the cargo mat. Understandably, I can’t move cardboard boxes in a wet van and then bring them into a new apartment. I am 70+ years of age. I think I have rented more vehicles and trucks than most ordinary people. This was the worst experience ever! How can U-Haul justify charging me for a service that was this awful? Who is going to compensate me for the time I had to pay my helpers who had to hang around at my house while I was dealing with the fiasco at U Haul? Who is going to compensate me for the time and money I spent on workers while I was using my leaf blower drying the mat of the cargo van? You have a real problem with the functioning of the 1 Virginia Road location. Besides all the hassle, frustration and inconvenience, I was ripped off! If it were my company, I would be embarrassed and ashamed. I am tempted to dispute the charge to my credit card, as CLEARLY, I did not receive the service I paid for and the money I paid for idle helpers. However, unlike UHAUL, I try to live up to my end of a contract

joseph mI am very satisfied with the service and it is good. However, I have not driven the car for business and only a few miles. One disadvantage is that I think the rates are expensive. The car is parked and I rented it for more than 7 days but it cost more than $300... It is a very expensive rent compared to the rate... It is above average. The satisfaction level is that the car is clean and the inside of the car is clean.......

Michael RVan was filthy, smelled like cigarette smoke and greased on the dash and the steering wheel. The new system that corporate implemented is ridiculously inconvenient for customers in the situation where it's pouring rain or snowing due to the luck where the key is placed are outside the office.. you gave to download the app to be able to rent. Having a person there to help you have a good experience was taken. NOT impressed or happy about that.

I shouldn’t be forced to use an app. and also there is a terrible wobble in the front end of the vehicle. They gave me so I couldn’t take it as far as I wanted to go, so I wasn’t able to complete my task, but that doesn’t in anyway reflect on the staff as I believe they did their job well as as I said, they were kind and courteous and respectful
LUKE KGet rid of the Ap! It’s your service agents who made this experience worthwhile. Your ap system is terrible and very frustrating. If it were not for your excellent in person service agents, this would have been a terrible experience.
MARCELINE AImprove the license scan feature in the app. Once it's opened, it has no instructions and I could not get it to register anything from the back of my license. Other than that, it was smooth sailing!
John TThey gave me the wrong address to return The Truck I lost money time They put me in Hyde Park New York and it was New Hyde park Ny .. And they told me that I could return the truck to any UHaul branch. I went to 2 locations and they did not accept it. They wanted to charge me $65 more to leave it with them.
BAIRON MFor drop-off, I had to drive a roundabout way to avoid a low-clearance local bridge and could never get anyone at that location on the phone to suggest a better route (just kept ignoring GPS until it rerouted me adequately). We had also had to drive extra miles to pick up truck in NJ (than originally promised) so that plus the circuitous route dropping off put us over our mileage. WE GAVE TRUCK BACK WITH ALMOST 3/4 TANK OF FUEL.This was well over the quarter tank minimum return quantity (my bad). But even so, we were charged an extra $11 for mileage. Really, U-Haul?? Staff never even discussed with us, just handed us the paper receipt. At that point, I was so disgusted with the whole experience I just wanted it to end. Next time I will use Budget or Ryder.

CLEMENTE NI had been asked earlier in the week by a uhaul representative if we would take a trailer in addition to our 26 foot uhaul truck out to our drop off location. I said we would be happy to help and move the trailer, so the rep added it to my reservation. When I went to pick up the uhaul, the store associate said there wasn't a truck on our booking - only the trailer. The rep at the location was so lovely and had me call uhaul to add it back on, but the phone call took over 40 minutes with multiple agents saying they could only give me the same day rental price (900$ compared to the 400$ that i had reserved earlier that week). This was s super frustrating experience because I had booked the uhaul days earlier at the 400$ price, then told uhaul i would do them a favor by moving the extra trailer for them, and then was told the original booking was now going to cost us 900$. The associate in store was so lovely and patient, and helped us a ton, but this is a terrible customer experience to have your original truck removed and then have your rental cost nearly double.
CHARLES CThe pick process is horrendous. It’s straight out torture. What’s the point of having a profile if you need to input drivers license & your info with photos and verify a contact every single time?
RAFAEL BAbsolute horrible experience. No information up front. No help. Zero accountability on the side of Uhaul. They will charge you for whatever they want, especially in the event it was their misdoing, and it will be "out of their hands". 0/10 quality of the 15+ year old truck with 140k miles on it and a nearly zero operational gear shift. -5/10 for any customer service. They were once the go-to for moving, but they have fallen far from even sub-standard quality now.
TYLER GTold my Uhaul rep I suspect that renters are filling tanks with water. Mileage is way too poor and vans are running very very rough.

Initially, when I rented a storage space at the North White Plains Storage Facility, the staff was friendly and helpful. About six months ago, I originally went to rent a moving truck after I engaged in a conversation with a very polite employee, which convinced me to not only use their moving service but also rent a storage space without exploring other options. I valued the personal connection with an enthusiastic employee over considering alternative storage facilities. However, my positive perception took a hit when, not even six months later, I received a call from a male employee claiming I hadn't made the payment for October, two days after the scheduled auto-charge. To my surprise, I was informed of a penalty for the payment delay. When I explained that I was on autopayment and unaware of any issues, the employee insisted that I had been removed from the autopayment plan. After insisting to tell me what card they have on the system he provided the last four digits of a card I never owned, despite being charged every month. During this frustrating conversation, another employee, Miss Martinez, made the situation worse by using inappropriate language and adopting an aggressive tone. When I mentioned my busy schedule and the difficulty of managing numerous subscriptions, she retorted angrily, stating, "this is your bill, you are responsible for paying your bills." After a 30-minute argument, during which I asserted that they needed me more than I needed them, their tone suddenly shifted from rude and arrogant to soft and caring, offering to enroll me in autopayment again. Post-call, I conducted some research and discovered a storage facility just one mile from my apartment, offering a cleaner environment with elevator access, all at half the price of the U-Haul location. My advice to U-Haul is to invest in good employees, as the quality of customer service greatly influences customer satisfaction.

The access hours could be better if open later, or if the privilege for 24-hour access was not an additional upcharge. I've had this room since the mid 2000s. It was necessary when I lived in Manhattan, useful when I lived in North White Plains, but it's become redundant since moving to a home in Putnam County. We will likely close our second room in my wife's name.

It said that I could get a month of storage free with my rental so I agreed. The rate I was quoted was around $160. When the day came and I showed up at the unit, they said they don't participate in those promotions and refused to honor the price on my email confirmation. They said they'd been sold out of unit but of course then happened to have a last minute opening they could give me...at almost double the price. I had a full truck after a very long drive and so I took it. Extremely poor experience overpaying for a unit Uhaul would not honor.

I still went with unit because it is a little more space for me to go through/organize my stuff & I don't have to climb (It's ground level).... :"t's complicated" at home. My only comment about the facility itself was I wish it had more climate control. There is another self-storage location about a 7 min walk from this U-Haul but I had a bad experience with them before they changed hands. Part of the bad experience may still have a unit there so I am not comfortable using them which Is why I'm using this U-Haul location.
