Your location at 1 Virginia Road is a complete disgrace. The van was dirty and filled with garbage when I received it. I actually had to clean it out so I could load my equipment. Your staff at this location lack the basic customer service. skills. I asked for an email reply but instead received a voice mail from Trevor who mumbled his way through the message. That voice mail was left on my phone at 1:22 pm in the afternoon. I called the location in White Plains and asked to speak to a manager but was transferred to a call center and was told my case was closed since I did not answer the phone. I requested an email since my schedule fluctuates. Ironically, U-haul needs to do a major overhaul in the customer service department when they mess up. I suggest you look at successful retail brands when dealing with dissatisfied customers.

I understand why the trucks don't have GPS. But it is ridiculous not to have USB ports in the trucks to plug in phones to use for GPS. No one has a "cigarette lighter" charger any more. This seems like an essential that was missing.

When I went into the lot to park my car prior to picking up the Uhaul there was a female Uhaul employee who runs the lot and she was aggressively rude to me about the parking situation. She immediately explained the lot has very little assigned customer parking and she told me that I needed to re-park my car a 5 minute walk away from the center. I was actually so taken aback by her behavior since the lot appeared to be virtually empty with at least 20 open spaces that I took the issue up with the manager who was calm and told me that where I’d parked my car was absolutely fine and he corrected the issue. Overall, I would say that interacting with the rest of the Uhaul employees went absolutely fine, however, as someone who also manages employees I would like Uhaul to know about this particular employee who was a very negative reflection on this location and your brand. How this situation was handled should be discussed with the employee and also with your staff. I would also recommend that Uhaul correct the customer parking situation at this facility if you do in fact have insufficient parking allocated. In a completely wide open lot with at least 70 trucks for renting the female employee told me that only 8 spots were alocatted for customer parking. That seems like a problem.

Air pressure in the pick up truck was down 20pounds and the car trailer was down to 40 pi’s had to spend $4.75 in air compressor rental and a half hr of my time traveling 441 miles in 96 degree weather plus low pressure made the tow dolly sway back and forth. And the swivel had no grease. Made the adjustments and all is well

I found personnel to be unfriendly. When I dropped off the van and walked into the office to present my contact, provide the ending mileage reading and key the male representative acted like I should have known to leave the key inside the van and indicate he didn’t need me to provide him with the contact or mileage. I found he had very poor manners. It really takes away from your business.
