The gas gage indicated 3/4 full, my tank was 1/4 full. I told them, they adjusted the gas level on a new the form.Come to find out they gave me the wrong truck. This I discovered at drop off.

I booked a U-Haul for a 7:30 mobile pickup as I had paid for moving help to start at 8. When I arrived at the location, the truck assigned to me was not set up for mobile pickup. I had to wait until the store opened at 9 to get the truck. This was very inconvenient to me and the moving help, purchased through U-Haul. Time and money was wasted.
MIKAYLA MThe truck I drove has significantly out of round brake drums. The brake power assist malfunctioned one time and I had to put two feet on the brake pedal to stop. Only one occurrence. The both the outside of the windshield was covered with bugs. In the late afternoon, I had real problems seeing through the film on the inside of the windshield. I did not notice this until the sun was low on the horizon. When I got into the truck the gas gage showed almost full. After driving for about 5 minutes the gas gauge dropped dropped well below full. I drove from the Uhaul dealer (Winston Salem) to a gas station a 1/2 mile from my house in Lewisville and put in 7.688 gallons of gas in the truck. The distance is approximately 5 to 6 miles.

LAURETTA WInitial checkin went fine but had to wait for over 20 mins for someone to come out and hook up trailer. No one was outside working. Also, found a box and pictures left in back of trailer so it wasn’t cleaned out

The radio in the van I rented was busted and the rubber seal inside the back doors fell off when I opened it to load! Or at least do a once over on a rental with the customer so that you both will know if there are any issues; but for the most part it worked out fine!
ROY Revery time I rent from U haul it's always No No No NO Dollies and you have new one in the store, so it does matter if you check the box to get a Dollies you we be disappointed

I asked for a review and receipt but was shrugged off with a "we'll send an email receipt." When I called only an hour later to secure an item left in the cab nobody would answer the phone so "corporate" picked up the call. They put me on hold and after 5 minutes came back on the line to tell me to go to the store to pick up my belongings. specifically asked if she had talked to the store and that they had my belongings. "Yes they do" she said as she told me to go before 7. I was at the store at 5:10 and the woman at the counter said nobody ever called nor did she have any item for me. I asked to go check the vehicle and she told me that the vehicle was no longer there and I was pretty much "shit out of luck." S my experience was... in a word... lousy.

FRANCISCO LI rented a truck to move my 3 bdroom home and they supplied no hand trucks or moving blankets for the price i paid. They did not even have any to rent out. There use to be a time when these items came with the truck. This is poor services to customers
DARRELL JThere were very fast to get me unhooked and super friendly. The driveway does need some work, there is a large pothole on the exit side of the location on a steep hill that makes it quite difficult to get out back on to the main road.

The "manager" stated there was no other managment above her available to receive my complaint. I called another uhaul location while standing in the Marshall street store. The employee at the other location searched for vans and found one availible at the Marshall Street location. The "manager" then rented out the van to us, and told us it had a quarter tank of gas. The tank was empty. I will never rent from the Marshall Street location again.

The lock box was difficult to access which caused me to be in a rush and unable to address the uncleaned truck. The location was well lit upon my evening return. I shared that the vehicle wasn't cleaned properly to the staff and no discount was subtracted from my bill.
BRUCE WEnded up stuck there for over an hour. The only reason I was able to get out is because I had a measuring tape. I had a few inches on either side of my car to barely make it out of the parking lot. I have not received any calls back asking how I was or apologizing for the inconvenience.

JOSE BAfter signing and paying for the U-Haul rental trailer the same individual "professionally" hooked up the trailer to the attached ball hitch of my tow vehicle. After the U-Haul rental person finished attaching the trailer he took several photos to show he attached the trailer according to U-Haul rental standards. He advised me everything was attached properly and I was ready to leave. After less than a mile and a half of low speed in city traffic the trailer made a loud bang and metal on pavement sound could be heard as the trailer was swerving behind my vehicle instead of tracking like a towed trailer should. As I slowed to a stop the now unattached trailer crashed into the rear of my vehicle causing damages to my vehicle but no injuries to myself or my wife riding in the passenger seat. Now disabled on highly traveled city street unable to tow vehicle because it was no longer attached to my vehicles ball hitch. I attempted to contact the U-Haul trailer rental manager at 118 Marshall Street N Winston Salem NC several times but every attempt went unanswered. I then contacted the U-Haul rental service number to report the accident and was given the impression since nobody was injured there was no urgency to assist. I was repeatedly told they were sending help but we were stranded less than a mile and a half from the U-Haul rental for over 2 Two hours in the cold. The U-Haul representative insisted that I could not get any other vehicle to replace the unattached trailer other than a different rental trailer even though the accident caused destruction of my tow vehicles trailer wiring harness making it illegal to tow a trailer without lights. The U-Haul representative then insisted that if my tow vehicle was damaged and trailer wiring harness was damaged that it was my responsibility to get a new tow vehicle with operational towing wire harness. I've rented vehicles of all types from many companies and I can say without any hesitation renting from U-Haul rental at 118 Marshall Street N Winston Salem NC and dealing with the U-Haul representative when calling after the trailer became detached and crashed into my vehicle was/is the single worst experience renting in my life. If I had driven home on the Interstate at 55mph and the trailer detached it could have flipped my vehicle killing both myself and my wife and quite possibly others on the road that evening. The significance of possible outcomes should be studied and stressed in great lengths and detail to every U-Haul employee. I feel my life and my wife's life was put into jeopardy due to untrained, unprofessional U-Haul employees and the business owes just compensation beyond the vehicle rental. As yet, no apologies have been rendered. I highly recommend anyone considering renting from this U-Haul location to think twice as they're professionalism is questionable at best.

JAMES HI have rented more than 50 trucks from this location in the last two years. I go out of my way to use this location since they have streamlined the process for me and give me no hassle. Several other Uhaul locations(not this location) have told me that it is not necessary to provide a DL for any additional drivers of the Uhaul rental other then myself. I think this is incorrect and extremely negligent for other Uhaul locations to state. THIS LOCATION IS AWESOME THOUGH AND I WILL KEEP RENTING FROM THEM.
Christopher WI rent a van every Tuesday and I love the people there, but whoever is cleaning the vans never clean the windows. They are so dirty. The tires have low pressure on the back of the van got all of our items dirty the last time they just need to pay more attention and cleaning the items And cleaning up the vans so we can see out of the mirrors and the windows are terrible

Nicole, the general manager called me the next day and was incredibly rude. I had to remind her that I was a customer before hanging up. When I finally was able to drop off my key, the assistant manager was very kind and helpful.
RENEE SThe app didn’t work to upload photos at start tome of rental; U-Haul employee said “it doesn’t matter to upload photos”. This left me unable to confirm status of vehicle at time of pick up. I had to keep pics on my cell phone. I should have been able to upload them via the app, as offered.
WILLIAM AI had a better experience the last time I rented here. The truck had low tire pressure signs for 2 tires. The lock on the back of the truck was very hard to use - had to use a lot of force.

Apparently my rental truck was only the beginning of my problems. I get to the storage place. There was nowhere to pull up and unload because 5 trucks were blocking the loading dock. And no! It wasn’t after hours! So I park on the side just to see what the actual storage looks like and to my surprise there no elevator to get my 2 bedroom furniture to my little locker! Haha so here’s another phone call. 45 minutes later I’m getting another unit that’s 26 minutes away. By the time I get there you can’t get onto the lot so we have to wait til morning. My 1 1/2 day move turned into 3 and so many phone calls later. I’ve lost all faith in using U-Haul. I don’t plan to use in the future. I’m greatly disappointed because I’ve never had any issues like this before.

When we finally moved out there was mold all over the wall and got onto some of our belongings. Highly disappointed the facility seemed clean and we should have been notified of any changes.

The people were really sweet but said they could not defund my money only the insurance company could do that and the insurance company said no they can’t reimburse for anything uhaul billed. This was a nightmare
