There was nothing wrong with this location other than it was too far from my home and where the move was happening. I originally had a truck booked at a location just a few blocks from where my daughter was moving. However, I received a call the day prior to say the equipment was not available. This should have been reflected when I was originally booking.

This was one of the worst experiences of my life. I had ti go to 3 deferent locations to finally pick up a trailer and it was not the size that I had a confirmation of and it was not at the confimed location as per my email confirmation. Your customer service pathetic and you have no concept of how to fix issues the your company has caused for customers. If I didn't need a trailer at that time to move my daughter back home I would have canceled it. The biggest problem is that there is no other game in town so you can treat customers like shit because they have no other options for one way use of a trailer or truck. I think that you need to look up what customer service means and try to adhere to that module. This experience caused me so much unwarranted stress that I had to walk out of the third location because If I didn't I would have totally lost it on the people at the store. I spent 2 hrs driving around halifax and Dartmouth because I was directed to the wrong location by my confirmation and the person at that location who directed me to another location that was not right. The second and third location had the size of yraiker that was confirmed but would not let me have one as they said that they were only for local use. I could go on forever about this experience but zi can feel my blood pressure rising as I am thinking about all the bullshit that I had to endure at the hands of your incompetent employees and your useless confirmation system. Not a happy customer and I hope that I never have to use this service again as it was pathetic.

Vehicle was not well maintained. Brakes were extremely squeaky (which made for a uncomfortable ride, even with music on...) Great music system by the way! :) Also, there was garbage in the vehicle (wrappers, cardboard, lots of debris, and alcohol cans). My other uhaul rentals they would require a walk around with an employee to ensure the vehicle is in working order and cleanly. My other Rentals they make it kkown to fill the tank, I was not informed this time around I thought maybe rules changed, so I did not fill up. I had to detour and refill $40+ worth of gas. Not my best experience so far, but not the worst! Kim is great! Just wish there was more of a detailed experience.

I booked a 10 foot truck more than a month out from our move. I was given no notice of the unilateral change of my truck from a 10' to a 20'. The bare minimum I was expecting was that when my reservation could not be fulfilled as booked was that I would be notified of the change and apologized to for the inconvenient change. I had to beg and plead to get a smaller truck than the 20 foot one assigned to me. I was not able to get back down to the 10 foot truck I reserved and was given a 15' truck instead. The 15 foot truck has worse handling, worse fuel efficiency and required a different packing plan that had me brining spacious trash 1000 miles just so my belongings wouldn't be banging around in the back. I hated the change and the extra money (150+) I had to spend on gas. I will not be using U-Haul in the future as I cannot trust them to honour their word and I cannot trust them to even inform me that they're breaking their word. Trash franchise with misaligned employee incentives; late-stage capitalism ftw :(

Just my arrangements(reservation) got a little confused(Windmill location). I probably played a part in creating that confusion,but staff at both locations were very helpful in trying to meet my needs and to get me "on the road". Took some time,but all worked out!! I was under lot of stress for other reasons and may not have ben the calmest client,lol!! Pricing was excellent.

I can't think of anything to improve. Of the very many U-haul rentals I have made, at various locations, this office is by far my favourite. The staff are very proactive, friendly and nice to deal with. The yard and equipment gets more expansive and improved each time I visit.

The vehicle was dirty and we had to clean it just to be feel safe. There was other peoples stuff in it plus old food on the floor. The customer service could use some improvements.

Customer service like this is rare. Darshil and Akash from the Lacewood branch made what could have been a stressful experience incredibly smooth. They patiently guided me through the hitch installation, gave great recommendations, and worked hard to locate equipment that wasn't available at their branch. Their dedication and positive attitude were outstanding. Thank you both -I truly appreciate all your help and will definitely return to this location because of you. Also the staff ( I dont recall the name sorry ) who handled me at Atlantic Street was very welcoming and ensured the process went smoothly.

Not sure if you guys do awards within the company but you need to take a solid look at the woodside location. I would like to give my honest feedback, I lost half of my belongings in your facility. Someone broke my storage unit 118 and stole my personal belongings. We've worked so hard for it, only to watch and fine out that everything we own and love were disheveled and ransacked. My experience in your facility was so bad that I will not recommend to anyone. We are very frustrated and devastated with this experience. The unit is not safe, no cameras for the Police to review. The staff just keep saying the facility is new and no cameras, no cameras and not very helpful and no empathy to what happened. We paid monthly for the unit to be safe for our things. That should be the first priority of the company to have a 24 hrs. monitoring of the facility. My question is " WHY? of all the unit,.. someone broke my unit?" Why not everyone else??? There are so many Unit to break in. How come only one unit? I just keep praying that the person or people who stole my stuff will be able to realize what they did is not right and not acceptable. I will never recommend to people. It's not safe. It's so sad........

Kim and all of her staff are great at this location. The location is new and its great to see additional storage buildings being built. The trucks are always ready to go when I needed one for a last minute to help with a move. Always fully stocked with boxes and anything you need to assist you in daily operations.

I had a major issue with my move-in, as I arrived around 6pm to my "drive up" unit with a 20' U-Haul truck only to find out I could not drive up to my unit. I would have had to park at least 200' away from my unit and walk around a building with each and every thing in my 20' truck to access that unit. I frantically had to arrange a different unit in a different location (for which your staff at the original location were extremely unhelpful with her shoulder shrugging) which is now costing me $100 extra per month. After having done extensive cost comparisons for storage units in my area prior to committing to U-Haul, I went with U-Haul because of the price. The only unit I could find in the general area at 7pm at night with a full truck was a unit that is $100 more per month, despite it being the same size! I am extremely upset by this.

It was a beautiful experience. I rented the U-box first, but Kim called me to tell me about bigger space that came out. That made my moving seamless.

For clarity, security wasn’t an issue, but there was limited lighting in and around the unit. Easily overcome by bringing a light. The unit was conveniently located, easy to access, and the staff were friendly. Would recommend to anyone!!!

During my business career I was involved in customer service at all levels in a variety of industries and would rate my u-haul experience with your Atlantic Street and Green Street locations staff in NS, and your Charlottetown PEI location as exceptional.

On the day, I went to rent my U-Haul truck, as my other method of moving did not pan out, I learned that I could get one month of free storage and that is exactly what I needed. U-Haul saved the day for me. I should’ve went with them from day one instead of another method that ended up, not working out and putting me through a lot of stress. I was so relieved with how little it would cost me to move out of province with U-Haul and to get a free unit to boot! Thank you, U-Haul! You saved the day and relieved my stress.

Booked a truck weeks in advance, notified the day before only truck available was at 3 pm in another province than where it was originally booked for 8am. Then once there for pick up, dealt with a brand new employee who deleted my contract that had all the discounts and i was forced to pay an outstanding balance we've never even been notified about! Which we incurred a late fee for non payment within the first week. My original quote was significantly cheaper with 400 allowable kms and the new rental only had 188 kms which didn't even cover the travel.from where I originally booked it for let alone the 60 kms away I had to pick it up and the extra fuel in my vehicle to drive me there and the time and inconvenience it was for the 2nd driver I needed to even pick the truck up! The kms alone from Amherst to Dieppe was about a third of what I was even given. Was literally a nightmare of a situation and due to my situation and moving help availability I was forced to pay the higher amount and balance owing. Then left for days not knowing when I will even receive any reimbursement. After several hours on endless roundabout useless phone calls still no resolution. The delay onnthe rental actually caused me to miss my twin daughters prom!
