RE: Experience with Cliff at Silverton Rd. UHaul lot: I was given the wrong trailer for the job I was doing. I specifically asked for a trailer with a drop down ramp and stated that I was delivering a riding tractor. I was shocked when I got to my home and the tailgate was a foot and a half off the ground. I had to go into my shed in the back yard and carry a 3/4" inch thick plywood sheet out to the street--a distance of about 100 feet and get two concrete blocks to shore it up in order to drive the tractor onto the trailer. When I got back to the depot to return the trailer I explained that "a Mistake was made" and his response was that there was "not a mistake made"-and when I said that the trailer was not right for the job I was doing, he argued with me and said "people have ramps" and then said the "ramp" trailer wasn't the right kind for what I was using it for--to that I said "It's ALWAYS worked for me with NO problem." At that point I asked if he was going to take care of me, and he did not offer to wave the cost of the rental, or to make any effort to try and make me happy.. By that time I had been disconnected from the trailer and as I was driving out I rolled down my window and said "I might be back-but I wasn't sure." He just shouted out "OK" and that was it. I yelled back to "Cancel my account there." I don't know if Uhaul approves of this or not-but that sure isn't how to run a business in my opinion. Signed, Kent Walker KW Cleaning Service Salem, OR

Only issue I have is I was travelling home 2000 some miles to Chicago and the check engine light cam on half way from Portland in Laramie Wyoming. I would have hoped the uhaul location knew not to give a truck due for a mint3n3nc3 check to such a long travel. Was pretty worrisome for the last 1200 miles.

HEPSI RMy 15 footer van was checked out with 1/4 tank. I drove it 39 miles. They said I owed 109.00 for fuel. Then they revealed a "virtual" fuel level on my pre-checkout that indicated 3/4 tank. I checked the vehicle out with 1/4 tank. When confronted on the 39 miles I put on the vehicle, they quickly went into reverse. The rep sez, " if you get her back to 1/4 of a tank...we are square". What happened to the 3/4 virtual level? They tried to scam me. Straight up!

The u haul worker did not give me a lock, properly show how to use the sign in and out , and seemed very annoyed that he rented , had me sign a contract for a completely trashed storage unit . After letting them know it was COMPLETELY full they emptied the storage unit into a U-Haul and parked it . Very very uncomfortable and unprofessional to be spending over $250 a month on a storage unit for this to happen . Most likely will not be keeping next months lease. The process that could have taken no less the 10 mins-AS I RESERVED THE UNIT BEFORE HAND AND COMPLETED ALL DOCUMENTS ONLINE - took over an hour and a half .

We were supposed to have one large room and it was unavailable due to someone not moving out on time. So then we get transferred to two smaller rooms across the storage facility from each other. The second room that was “vacant” was still full of someone else’s garbage so then we were transferred again to a third unit. All the while, our whole unload crew is following the worker around the facility trying to figure out which room we are actually unloading into. We were supposed to get our first month free for our one room... now we are left paying much more next month for two rooms when we were only supposed to have one in the first place. Terrible organization and keeping track of which rooms were vacant/in use. We made our reservation a month ago so it wasn’t even last-minute. We would have chosen another storage facility if we knew about what a hassle this one would be. I will not be recommending :(

I had no way to speak with you guys since my husband who should have been taken off was still as the first person to contact. I paid with MY credit card and even when I told you NOT to use my credit card you Still DID.I had become homeless with this pandemic and had no way to contact you and then after many attempts you sold my stuff. I appreciate having to go above your head to get things done but I dont see why I had to in the first place. My mother in law was put in the hospital and you had no sympathy for the fact I was 300 miles from you and HAD NO WAY to come to you. I had you contact my sister after I told you not to.... I had no way to do anything and I am very happy I have nothing to do with your company. In the future I will NOT use and will not recommend UHAUL for anything.

When originally reserving the units I was able to speak directly to the location all other calls went directly to the call centers which had EXTREMELY long wait times. Luckily on our first trip I grabbed the managers business card and was able to get assistance via email to her. Your APP for reservations and payment is really good

THEN after 3 attempts to call and get help (again, point blank, i cannot help...referred to same numer and menu)...waiting again. 3 person really heard me and tried to help...then suddenly disconnected. Had to wait till next day to sign up and unload. Had to miss work.
