The staff at the Happy Valley store were incredible!! They recommended we get 2 boxes, when we thought we only needed one. They wanted to make sure we were covered, and we needed both! We stopped into the store multiple times, and they were always courteous and helpful. They even made sure the trailer hitch we bought was configured properly since we had no tools. I can't say enough about this dedicated team, they provided the best customer service we have ever received and made our move seamless. They should all be acknowledged for a job well done!

Trailer was connected to my car and electric cable was installed without enough slack. The electrical connector on the car was damaged. I had to call for roadside assistance to get power restored to the trailer. I was delayed 2+.hours getting the repair. The dealer would not accept any responsibility and showed me a picture and said the connector on the vehicle was already damaged..... very poor customer service. I will not be back to this dealer. Roadside Assistance was amazing!

The 2nd floor storage was terrible. It’s not safe for anyone really to have to climb a ladder and move stuff up and down. Especially when you are a single female and no staff are on site to help. I would not recommend this type of unit.

Fire this man. He acted completely rude and threatening to call the cops on customers because I asked him to do his job! He tried to be clever and send me outside to a lockbox when he was perfectly capable of providing counter service. He just didn't WANT to because he didn't want to deal with me, or do his job, because Uhaul has already screwed up so many times, I was upset. But he was trying to charge me TRIPLE my quoted cost, and inconvenience me further and do anything in his power to NOT have to help me. That man needs FIRED. It was shocking the audacity this man has towards a customer, and I have witnesses!

Every ubox service I’ve used in the past offered metal boxes… these were cheap wooden crates that we struggled to close. The customer service rep I spoke to for booking a month a head of time, was super nice… but a day before moving day we found out that the order never went through. I had no movers, and no one to deliver my boxes. Thankfully I caught the mistake and called again, and someone was able to have the boxes delivered on time regardless… but the emotional distress added to my move was horrific. I never want to use uhaul for anything again.

Got a drop off location set that was supposed to be after hours. Keycoded gate, couldn't get in. Facility would not answer phone calls. Called uhaul, got sent to another location who didnt have room for the truck. 3rd location finally worked. Asked for a future discount/credit due to the hassle of driving all around town, was told they can't do anything about it. Terrible company, won't use Uhaul again

When scheduling, I chose mobile check in. I got an email that told me how to do that. When I arrived at the location, I followed the instructions specifically, but when I opened my order there was no "pick up my truck" option on there anywhere as the instructions said. It resulted in me having to wait for quite awhile because there were many people at the location when I got there.

The employees were great! Very personable and helpful. My only complaint is with the U-Haul online system. It’s abysmal. I never received ANY of the texts I was supposed to receive. It wouldn’t allow me to access my account but when I tried to make a new one it insisted my account already existed. If it wasn’t for the kind employees at the 82nd location, a stressful day of moving would have been made so much worse.

Your log in system with the qr code sucks. I'm furious over this step. As a general contractor of a construction company. Making your customers figure our some bullshit that is complicated is bullshit. My apologies for the language. But it didn't work. If I'm paying you whatever amount of money. I should just have to drop the keys. Or I'm wanting to back charge you for your system not working and me having to self check out. So I'd my employees have to burn up more of my wage hours trying to figure out your self log in system than you should say for that. I want the old system. I park and I or my employees drop key in box. You fo the system log in. I can go to the other rental places that have a seamless system. Even your employees couldn't tell me how to navigate the drop off after 7 as they were processing trucks. Wtf. I'm not happy. I do not enjoy looking like a idiot. Fux your shit.

When I first arrived I had no idea where to go or what I was doing. I finally had a little help from one person then to make matters worse there was no where to put a 26ft truck with car transport but 1 spot. Then a uhaul employee purposely parks multiple uhaul s around me and boxes me in. I only know that because I went into store and over heard him and another employee talking about it and laughing at me. Honestly I'm upset feel like I'm stupid and never want to go back. If I woulda just had a little direction or help it could have been avoided. But childish games made my uhaul return late and the rest of my stuff literally left in the rain down the street.

The gentleman that checked us in got visibility irritated when I said I hadn’t been able to complete the move in electronically. When I made the call to reserve the unit I wasn’t told that a “round” lock was required, then because the unit was actually 2 units next to each other I had to buy 2! We ended up not needing the unit, never put stuff in it, or put a lock on it, and we checked in on the 10th, and checked out on the 12th, and got no money back. I called the storage manager, and never got a call back. The only bright spot we’re the 2 employees that helped us check out on the 12th, I could tell that they cared.

The fact that you don't pro rate charges is not ok.. many other storage places cheaper that pro rate .I have since vacated . And gone to another storage facility However Justin really went out of his way for us during a tough situation.. his knowledge was excellent as was his customer service .

When my family and I arrived to check in to our storage unit UHaul provided for the truck rental and 4 state move we had just done, we notice right away that the access was rough to get to the units. We walked in and the guy at the counter was never quiet and non responsive to questions and concerns and took over and hour to check us in and struggled the entire time and even though he was standing there with 3 other guys around that clearly had more experience, he didn't ask for help nor did anyone offer him help when they saw him struggling and our growing frustration and not knowing what was going on. By the time we got to the end of check in, the unit that had been reserved for us for over two weeks was not available and they were giving us two smaller units side by side which was not gonna work for us and not only that but the large unit for a 3+ bedroom home was up stairs and inside which was not feasible and the only way up was some rickety stairs on outside of building that were too narrow and had and awning that prevented any large furniture from getting up them. We canceled the whole thing and went down the street to Public Storage and their service and ease of access and timeliness far exceeded uhaul.

I was a customer for years and it was fine but then without notice there was no where to park while getting things in or out of my unit if it was during business hours. I found out it was because they started renting cars, so that took all the spaces storage customers had. Profits before people will kill any business!

Ground level outdoor unit, appreciated very convenient drive up and simple access- However, to be helpful- seasonal outdoor maintenance use of leaf blowers regularly pushed debris, paint chips, dirt, and dust under my unit door and onto my stored belongings. Stored papers, furniture, textiles, equipment and art were all affected, with layers of dirt clinging to some vulnerable items. Not entirely unexpected, nor was I significantly disappointed... Thank you.

All of the employees were helpful and polite. The facility owner, Justin, was especially kind one day when a stray dog came running up to me as I was bringing things outside from my unit — I asked for help and he put the dog in his car to stay safe until we figured out what to do (the owner finally came by).

My rating would have been Excellent but the most recent experience I have last December 20, 2022, the door latch was disappointing as it was badly done and my disc lock would not go through. We alerted the office at once and for some reason it was not tended to and I received a voice message (thank you for that anyway) that I don't have a lock, and that is the reason why. I apologize as I should have made a temporary lock to secure it before leaving my things. I was on a time scrunch and decided to attend to it later. Jonathan went back yesterday and the latch was still not done. I believe the manager took care of it in 5 minutes. Now that, is the excellent part. I am grateful for Seth for helping with my move-in procedures, inspite of a few hiccups.

I have always used U-Haul and always been happy with no issues until 6 months ago when I needed a storage unit and used another that was very close to my place. BAD mistake that I will never ever do again and will still always recommend U-Haul. Someone camping out inside the storage unit we think broke out my lock and had time to go through all my boxes and stole so much stuff! Emptied out the unit the following weekend.

This is the pinnacle of U-Haul sites. This is the best experience I have ever had renting a truck and using storage. The staff is friendly and extremely helpful. Sandra and all of the others who work are the BEST.
