Just problem is that some days when I was there I saw main gate is not working that’s why homeless people come to inside storage parking area, they parked car inside property and seat inside car. Ones I was call to Police about that because one of them tried to come without write Code when I take some staff from my storage. They keep open back door . Why I don’t know. But I am absolutely satisfied with Uhaul services. Thanks a lot

I went into my unit with managers and inspect my belongings because of a flooding incident. One worker was rushing everyone out the facility and tell us to come back since it's two ppl out a time. We ask how will this operation go on. I heard tomorrow till the next day Wednesday. I took pictures of what was wet from my unit with the managers and rush out. To come back on Wednesday to Nothing in my unit. Everything thrown away with no pictures to prove it that it was damaged or wet. The only picture they provide was the one that was taking when I was there. Than lied and said I did not respond to the message that was sent out to me and I did not showed up. When I responded to the message and showed up. Break my lock and throw all my property away without my consent. Than lied onto my face and claimed I didn't showed up. So they can have access into my belongings. No pictures was taken of my belongings and what I have lost. This is the last place I will recommended to anybody. Poor management.

She is really rude person, while she was taking me and setting up for my storage she was on the phone with the bf base on the conversation she had I realized she was distracted at the same time trying to give me info. I went to the storage with the password she set up and didn't work, I called back to the office and she start screaming at me saying I was wrong and I didn't follow the map and she just hung up saying now we have to go there. The other co worker (male) came to try the password and he confirmed it didn't work, he call to the office trying change and nothing. He went back to the office call someone with me on the phone( while I'm waiting at the gate, already pass 1 hour) and nothing nothing working he can back again to open for me to put my stuff in the storage, and nobody fix my password, they only say I don't know. So now today I have to go back after work again to the office to see what's going on. I know is 1 month free but I don't deserve this treatment as a customer this girl is so rude, having a conversation with someone outside work while taking customer so of course she couldn't done correctly my profile or my password.

The description of the unit was not clear. Was surprised when the upper unit required a ladder to access. This was very inconvenient and made storage very difficult. Overall not very satisfied and regret moving to this storage unit.
Michael T | Online Move InI've used this storage facility twice. The first time was for 2 months and the second time was for 9 months. I had no problems the first time, but my unit was filled with roaches the second time. Both times I used an outside unit without temperature control; I am sure the heat and humidity played a role in encouraging roaches. I would highly suggest you get a temperature-controlled unit and visit your unit often to spray for roaches.

My electric skateboard was stolen and my helmet was gone. Management have never told me who broke into my unit and who stole my belongings. A few days later, I got a call saying my stuff was found in an empty unit. Moreover, the storage facility had dozens of people living in their units, even in my building their was 3 people who lived in their units. The entrance to my unit smelled like urine, appears those who are living their are urinating outside by the doors. Their is trash in the hallways and outside. The doors to our buildings were left open by other tenants and management had no clue. Overall, this is not a safe facility considering those living their could be criminals and rapist etc. Not safe for a woman to go there.

I checked in then checked out, the keypad said welcome back...but that still didn't work try a couple more time to see if that would solved the problem, no nothing happened, then I went to the office they told me the person who has the key wasn't there. I lost time and money on this a few times and they charged me for late fees while I couldn't get access to the storage unit. I even write to the manager on the app no one answer. I went one last time then they finally send someone to open the door and I took the opportunity to move out the same day.

All employees had left for the day. I had to end up getting a unit at life storage. I’m still waiting for a refund. Horrible experience. I’ll stick with uhaul’s transport service and skip the storage next time.

Also, quite a few times the hours of operation were not adhered to with no notification of possible available hours, nor a contact number for inquires. However, for the time period we did have the unit it was definitely adequate, clean, well lite, with friendly and helpful staff when they were available. I would use this facility again, as well as recommend it to others.

They then said that the primary spot is a little bit away. Went into the main spot on 163 street and had the worst experience ever. Waited 15 minutes to be seen to then be told by the gentlemen they didn’t have any storage available. Would have to come in tomorrow. And somehow he was sure the next day it would be available. Even showed him the link online which said it was available. He stated that it wasn’t and if I got it online, I would still have to come in. Luckily my wife went ahead and bought the locker online and within 2 minutes I had a gate code and a locker number with a lock placed inside. Couldn’t believe how easy it was. Got in and was able to use Sunday to move everything I needed to. Will never go into the location again.

Rodney B | First ImpressionsFirst of all, all the signs posted read access 24/7 to the storage facility. However, I was not granted access after 10:00 pm and no one told me that I needed to pay an extra $10 to benefit the 24/7 access. Secondly, I informed your staff on Saturday December 11, 2021 that all my belongings were removed from the unit and that it was now empty and available to be rented out. She promised that she would take care of it. Five (5) days, nothing was taken care of resulting in a $133 monthly charges for nothing. This had caused me to make another trip to the facility by taking a video of both empty units to show that both units were empty and that they needed to close the contract. Also I rented a 20’ truck from you guys when I returned the truck. You guys charged me $36 for 2 gallons of fuel but yet I accidentally left my personal dolly in the truck. When I return a few hours later to retrieve it, it disappeared in thing air. Somebody clearly inspected the truck before renting it out. They realize the fuel was low but they did not realize that this dolly, totally different color from yours, didn’t belong to you guys. I was told that I lost my dolly forever and no one will return it or pay for stealing it. This is the second time o lost items left in a truck rented from your facility. You need to have a lost and found policy to keep customers items left in your truck to be returned to them when found, otherwise this is theft. So let’s fix the problem so no other customers will lose their precious items forever in the future. I hope you get the message and take swift action to fix the problem Mr. Tony, thank you.

EDDIE B | Overall Experience24 hour access is available however required an escalation to occur in order to receive the 24 hour access to the unit after calling the location twice and was told I had it however that was not accurate. Then called Customer Service they said there’s an extra fee for 24 hour access which was inaccurate again as nowhere does it state there is a fee for 24 hour access. Website coding is inferior as my reservation is not linked to my account and states “ * we are unable to associate the order to your account”. But logging in using my reservation order number and last name was able to see the account details just not associate it to my email address. Logging in with email and password again, the same error message occurred… But received the sorry to see you go email message and rate my experience from U-Haul to the same email address. Can only assume Uhaul will not charge me for any more storage fees. As impossible to associate the order to my account. If I did not save the order reservation number it would have been like the order never occurred. U-Haul being a national company should be able to afford developers & QA resources who can code and test functionality effectively. Too many issues for a storage facility.

The uhual facility has a second storage facility 3 blocks away but that was not made clear during my reservation so I had to go to desk for help anyways, then when I finally found the storage unit it was was 8ft above the ground with a ladder! How is anyone supposed to move a couch to a storage unit 3 ft above their head?! Makes no sense why a second story storage unit would even exist. After wasting more time than I wanted, I went back to get a walk in storage unit, in which they told me they had 1 for twice as much as my previous rental price, I cancelled my storage unit right there and had to go searching for a new storage unit. Not only will I never use this storage facility, I will be moving in 3 weeks and was planning on renting a truck from here, but I will be taking my business elsewhere based on my terrible experience with this location.

There was no one there and no one picked up the phone. we found out (by luck of googling nearby uhaul locations) that the actual rental office was 3 blocks away. We went there and there was only 1 employee who was very slow. She took almost an hour to get us checked in AND then booked us for an outside unit even though we had requested climatized. She said they only had 1 climatized unit and it was a 2nd level unit. Next, our gate code did not work to get into the building, so we had to leave and come back. The 2nd level unit was also an absolute nightmare to load our heavy boxes into using their wobbly ladder.

Next day: Check in keypad is on the wall so I have to pull up, get out of my car in the rain and check in on keypad, then hop in my car and I pull to the next keypad to open the gate, gate opens, I pull to the 3rd keypad to enter my unit in the rain, it says access denied code not found, I go back to my car in the rain, can't go back to the 2 previous keypad since the gate closed, so I drive to the exit to use the intercom, staff answers quickly and says she is coming soon to reset system, I wait 20 mins nobody comes, unable to enter my unit that I just filled. had to leave so wasted a trip there and a day without my items.

When this covid-19 pandemic started in March our son's school sent everyone home. We live out of state and are accustomed to using U-Haul facilities and equipment so there was no question when I called this location to inquire about renting a storage unit for my son and 2 classmates to store their dorm belongings that it would be fine. Mind you now...our son never told us or complained. Well I rented the unit sight unseen because of the rush. Fast forward to August 28, 2020 we go to the U-Haul unit to move him out and were shocked beyond belief! We expected to see a normal second floor unit but this was what looked like a jail cell with weak metal beam floors (Unit F22)that you must use a tall step ladder to access not the normal garage type doors! Then you must walk down the tall step ladder to move in and out without falling down the step ladder to your death. This facility needs to be checked and perhaps the design updated for safety standards! If I had known how these units looked I wouldn't have patronized this location. I know that each U-Haul facility is individually owned and operated BUT I wish there was a way to officially request some sort of monetary refund of the fees paid because there is No Way that unit should have cost as much as we were charged. Please Note..I Have Not reached out to the facility because I don't want to be mistreated or spoken to in the way that I witnessed the representative speak to another patron. Please step in and assist me with obtaining some sort of monetary compensation in refund.
