Went to pick up truck from this location, done paperwork,was told truck was on lot two blocks father down,given keys long story short went through every truck on lot came back to center truck parked there!!
John RWe were three senior women moving out of state. Truck had serious wheel bearing issue and was running rough the evening we began the drive. Fortunately, UHaul's road side service was excellent. The person sent by UHaul came at midnight, assessed the issues, returned early the next morning with parts and we safely made our trip to our destination. We are so grateful for him.

JULIA DFirst trailer the lights did not work. The manager was rude. Also your web site and app does not work most of the time a five min prosses. take at least 30 min. because you have to keep staring the order over because it looses you info. Thank you Andy
ANDREW MThis is not an issue or problem with the location. The problem is with U-Haul. I had the worst experience I have ever had with U-Haul. I paid for a one-way rental from Richmond, VA to Radford, VA. You had no problem charging a premium for the one-way rental, but I was not allowed to return the equipment to Radford. I had to drive 40 minutes out of the way and return the trailer to Salem VA. I did not get what I paid for. After the time to return the trailer to Salem and then back to Radford, I drove the equivalent of halfway back to Richmond. I use U-Haul several times per year, and twice yesterday alone. I am in the process of moving and would be using U-Haul several times over the next few weeks. But after my experience with this last rental I will be looking for other options. Again, I DID NOT GET WHAT I PAID A PREMIUM FOR. I talked with 2 members of customer service last night, and requested someone call me back to try to come up with a resolution to account for the time, fuel, and inconvenience that I experienced last night.

JOHN HIt's not really whether I'd recommend the location...if it's the closest location to someone's needs, then yeah, recommend. So, it's a weird question.
Leigha NThe truck had not been cleaned when I first got it, it had to be returned and then quickly swept out/mopped because the interior was wet (I was using the UHaul to move furniture and unfortunately could not use a wet UHaul). Additionally, upon arrival for drop-off, the parking lot was small and blocked so we had to wait for a truck to be moved before we could drop-off, which took about 10min.

ROBERT TThe main counter was blocked by the two racks of accessories which were too large, too close together, and didn’t need all of them. They cluttered the space and were not obvious as to what they were there for. My truck rental was great and I was able to park in customer parking.

ROBERT TBefore I left the lot checking the truck for any damages and the mileage had the truck running didn’t move it from its spot at the uhaul location. By mistake locked the doors. Went inside to asked if they can use the spare key that 100% every location of any type of vehicle rental would have. They said we can’t do that and we don’t have xtra key, I should call road service to do that and I do have to pay for it. Reminder I didn’t finish checking the truck up yet. They would not help and I do need the truck . And they are holding me responsible for that service. They refused to unlock it for me. I rent uhaul weekly I all the us every week in different states and this how get treated. It’s a shame. Oh and they would not give me a number for customer service or anything like that to discuss my issue. Only think the said to call roadside service and I will get to pay that bill. Remember the truck hasn’t moved yet from the lot and I didn’t finish inspection on it yet. I’m lost of words. I used my private service call to help not the uhaul service because uhaul was saying it’s going to be 300$ feet plus tax. That is not customer service how should be. As I’m a customer that use uhaul a lot. Thank you for help:(

RONALD AThey canceled my original reservation at another location until the day before my move. The new location had nothing I previously ordered, leaving me with no Dollie’s or equipment. I was quoted at $79 on the app and charged 104 when I picked it up even though none of what I requested was available. The truck was covered in thick ice, with someone’s belongings and food left in the truck from previous rental. And the brakes did not work making the truck dangerous to drive. However, because I needed it immediately, because staff in the serving store was very rude and unhelpful, and I had no other day or time to move, I was left with no options. I rented the truck for 24 hours and returned it same within 6 hours. My move from location site was 4.2 miles to my destination. For a total of 8.4 miles round trip. I used hardly any gas and when I returned it, was charged $84 additional dollars for fuel. I was over charged from first booking and denied access to equipment I needed that would have made my move easier and less stressful.

ROYAL AThe staff is not very friendly. 3 workers and only 1 doing everything. They don’t make you feel welcome and act as if they were doing me a favor. I can see why this location has very poor reviews. I will not use this U-Haul location in the future and steer everyone I know away from it. It’s a shame because it’s the closest location for me to refill a 100 lb propane tank. But I rather drive 45 minutes somewhere else.

APRIL DBeen coming here for years, staff is always super helpful, UI online is easy to use and convenient, never feel like I’m getting charged extra like other rental places
JAMES KThere was about 4 gallons of water puddled inside of the cargo space when I received the truck. Took about an hour to sop it up with a towel so I could start moving furniture in. Large crack noted in the corner of cargo area but luckily, weather cooperated. There was some nasty oil or spilled drink on the dash and cup holder. With all of the extra stress around the truck, accidentally topped off the fuel tank out of common habit before returning which was only about 1/4 full when I received the truck.. so I lost about $60 there too..

DAVID AI rented a pickup to move a couch. I never rented a u-haul and thought this truck is filthy. I thought U-haul had a policy for trucks being dirty? I mean I had to wipe this truck down it was so bad.i think I'm better off going to enterprise? Sorry yellow, but I never had a truck make me feel that gross. Happy Holidays.

ERIC HStaff was great. Good location. Truck was old with over 172,000 miles which seems high. Transmission was not shifting properly but it did the job.
PAUL OHaving to walk half a block down the street from the office to get your truck is not very customer-friendly. Also, there was no parking at the office location.

FEI ZEverything went fine. *The truck I rented had a dysfunctioning passenger seat seat belt. I was left with having a passenger that did not have a functioning seat belt. This was very concerning and I hope it was repaired.
MARIA EThere are a lot of trucks for a small location, they are parked so close together I had to push the mirror in just to get out of the parking space. The driver seat was ripped in several places with holes in it and on my return the transmission started slipping that was with only a 40 miles round trip.
RICHARD BStaff was great. However, twice now i've been charged $15 dollars for Safe Move when i denied all coverage on the website and in person. I emailed about this to customer service after the first time, and didn't get a response, then it happened again.
