Only one clerk working on a Saturday. Long line out the door. He was fairly efficient but didn't seem real concerned about the line. Also, I received a phone call on the following Sunday wanting to know when I was going to bring the truck back, when I had returned it the previous day!!

I reserved a truck for two hours and arrived 15 min early for my reservation. It took 30 min for the employees to get my truck, which cut into my already tight reservation time. I had reserved a furniture dolly too, but found out when I got there that they didn’t have any left for rent. They had ones for sale, but didn’t offer to let me rent one. My move was significantly more difficult because I didn’t have the dolly I had reserved. Overall, a very frustrating experience.
The service guys were great - nice, friendly and helpful. However the mobile system with login and "quick" pick up were horrible. It took over 25 minutes for the system to finally just give up and tell me to go into the location. The first truck I was assigned did not start (issues with the battery), the second was locked in behind two other trucks and required me to return inside for a third time. Finally a truck was assigned that started and could be driven, but it had not been cleaned.
I was charged for services not rendered. I would like to file a formal complaint for U-Haul charging my credit card after I refused to rent a had truck that did not work. After returning the non-functional hand truck, the office charged me four three days of use, yet I returned it immediately and did not use it at all. It was not functional and could not be used. This is a scheme to deceive unwitting potential customers and it is petty theft. UHaul should be ashamed of this dishonest practice and should be reported to the Better Business Bureau.
Great personal service from your employees.
First truck had a flat tire and problem lights on dash. It was parked into a super right spot/ all mirrors pushed in so I couldn’t easily see when cleared other parked trucks. Almost no gas in vehicle. Went inside and had to wait again (one person working ). He got me another bigger truck for same price which had gas and good tires. Inspect your fleet, each time
I reserved a specific truck size in advance, but when I arrived at the store, they didn't have the truck.
I was waiting in line to return my vehicle and a nice man came and picked up my key from me and took it from there! Quick and painless. Thank you!
The volume of business has outgrown the space. It is difficult to maneuver in and out with trucks or trailers and significantly increases the amount of time needed for check-in or check-out. They even have to use the public sidewalk on the side of the building for storage. The person helping me was great. He focused on one customer at a time which is essential on a chaotic Monday.
I requested a dolly, but it never came with the truck.
Honestly, I know people are more inclined to leave poor reviews than positive ones. But the guys here just really didn't care, like at all. When I called to book the truck, he asked me for my name and that was it. He didn't give me any further instructions until I prompted him with questions. When I picked up the truck they didn't care, just handed me the keys and told me the truck was around back. When I returned it, they all just continued talking around the desk. I asked when I dropped the truck off about the gas. Beause they hadn't shared with me if I needed to fill it up or not. Which I would expect to have to, but paying 1.29$ a mile I was wondering if gas is included in that cost. I took a picture of the gas needle when I picked the truck up. I drove 25 miles, so it didn't move much. When I picked it up it was right around a quarter of a tank (so thanks for that too). I asked them if they would come look at the truck to see. He said he didn't need to that he was "sure I'd be fine without filling it up." Then I got the receipt (which they wouldn't give me while I was in the store), and I got charged 15$ for the 4.4 gallons of gas I used. So I called to make sure I was reading the receipt corretly and told them I would come back to take it to a gas station myself. Mind you, there's one directly across the street- I would have been fine doing it in the first place. The only reason I didn't was because the guy assured me I'd be fine. That and, it was only at a quarter tank when I picked it up! The guy put me on hold then came back and said that Customer Service wasn't answering and no one was availalbe to talk online. So he said "how about I just trasnfer you to Customer Service so you can tell them yourself." Whyyyyy would I talk to Customer Servie when you just told me they're not answering? I just hung up. I mean, I'll eat the 15$. I was exhausted from moving all day. They just seriously could not have cared less. I have a picture too of how closely the truck was parked to another, so close in fact that I couldn't get into the driver's side. I had to go in through the passanger side. I thought I was being punked. I'm not entirely sure how they even squeezed it in there and then got the door opened enough to get out themselves. It was just all around a crappy experience. I've used Uhaul beofore. I like the company and typically the service is great. So, thanks for the other times.
Employee in back office listening to music on headphones and didn’t hear me come in. I had to walk around the entire building to find him when I arrived to pick up my truck. I was waiting inside and so was another customer for several minutes and I had even shouted “excuse me?†near the back section two separate times to see if anyone was there before having to walk around the back to find him.
ALWAYS a pleasure renting from the Willow Lawn location. Staff knows what they’re doing, always professional and courteous, trucks & trailers always well maintained and simply and all around quick & easy experience (not counting waiting time, but that’s because they’re paying attention to the valued customers in front of you just like they’re going to take care of you too)!
The employee did not come out to check the truck before we left. I asked him to come check the truck. He told me they dont come out to the trucks anymore. When we got five minutes across the street to our storage. We realized the tire was flat. It looked like some had cut the tire. The whole was huge. I called the uhaul store immediately. He was nasty to me on the phone and told me to call 1800g0uhaul.
Location needs some sprucing up.
Efficient service and clean vehicle (cab and box). Accurate billing for mileage.
Nothing. All good
Parking lot is too tight. I was improperly over charged for millage.
2 dudes I talked to (guy who rang me up and guy who accepted my drop-off) were all-star nice people. Nicer than like 95% of people I talk to in this city. Great experience.
Customer service was good When I called and ordered over the phone and when I got there What more can you ask for
The man was wearing a mask and gloves. It was good to see that U-Haul cares about its customers. Also he connected the trailer to the truck and secured it. I didn’t have to touch anything. Great service and knowledgeable worker. Thanks
The rental experience through the app was mostly good. The guy I worked with was really good. Especially considering what he had to juggle running the location alone, which is how It is every day. One person. What they have one person doing in managing that location is unreasonable. The same poor guy that was doing the work on my wiring had to keep stopping to run the rest of the store. Selling propane, renting equipment, handling people coming into the storefront all while having vehicles on the rack for hitch and wiring installs/repair is crazy. Makes it seem like the company doesn’t care about the staff.
The staff here is great. They are very professional, friendly and knowledgeable. I’m so glad that I know I can trust these guys at the Willow Lawn location.
I had some issues with the mobile app that cost me some time but overall the mobile app order creation and late drop-off is great.
Jamal provided outstanding service with a great attitude. He is a credit to UHaul
