I rented a trailer for less than two hours on 12/15/2021 and am showing a pending transaction on my card as of 12/31/2021 for $900 because somehow the trailer was not properly checked in by the location when I returned it. The reservation number for this transaction is 26398847. I have called U-Haul customer service twice about this and it has apparently still not been resolved.

Too many problems like being billed and not understanding what your charges are. Also just because someone's late might mean that they might have trouble and being charged almost $60 for 2 hours over is a little excessive.

Gail MGather driver info (selfie, copies of license) the day someone books online. We wasted time (and were charged by our movers) as we waited for my account to be approved. It also makes sense to gather all that info at time of booking than later.
Ashley ASo the low rating is not actually for the location, it's for the mobile pickup process. It took me a grand total of an hour, three phone calls, five reloads of the pickup "menu" on the map, and two different mobile operators, since the first kept denying my documents. It was only made worse by the fact that the pickup location was a corporate location, when I went inside to "physically verify" they had no idea what I was talking about.
Gray MIt was difficult to figure out what exactly to do and when I went inside the main building they didn’t know where to pick up the truck shares so they sent me to a whole Nother address which was not the correct address and they sent me back to the other address and the security guard helped me and then I had to call the online so I actually ended up picking up my truck more than an hour late because I could not figure out how to do it and there was nobody to answer any questions on site. Once I did figure out how to do it it was nice not having to deal with people so next time it will be much better however the truck was very very very dirty
Lavaya PDrop off point was not correct. Called customer service and was on hold for a half hour before I got was able to talk to someone. They sent me to the original pickup location saying 2700 N 3rd St was not a drop off location
Steven BIt is unprofessional to promise a response in 48 hours and take 56 days to respond. It disrupts budgeting and planning. Very unprofessional - I do not recommend this service.

Jason PWent to pick up the 24 hr drop truck. The online process sent a msg keeping me from proceeding with my pick up. Contacted customer service, was on hold foe 30 min then spent anothet 25 min problem solving. Finally a supervisor was available and it was fixed in 5 min. Now an hour after my original pick up time I got the key. I was also under the assumption (because customer service was resubmitting my reservation for 8) that I would have till 8 to return. Once I signed in to return the truck it said 7 pm. I live phoenix where the temps even 7-8 pm are over 100 degrees. Having to wait and hour to sort this out was of great inconvenience.
donna mI have to be honest and tell you that this was the worst experience I've ever had in customer service. The location is a rideshare and there's no notable instructions of what you are supposed to do. After being on the phone for 1 hour with your customer service finally a woman comes down with the van key. When I went to return the van someone was parked in the uhaul spot and there was no other location to park the truck and so I had to maneuver it in another parking lot. again had difficulty on the return with snapping 300 different types of photos of the odometer. I would never ever recommend uhaul rideshare to anyone.

The lock said it was lock 10, it was really 11 - I couldn’t get the lock to open - called customer service and was transferred 4 times - why can’t a number for the actual on site manger be posted vs be routed all over for them to email the manager to hopefully find me- it took me an entire hour just to get the manager to come - and she still struggled - horribly unsatisfied in the customer service
Heidi KReserving the truck was easy and the truck was clean. The lock to get the key was very difficult to open. When I returned the truck the lock was on the box.. I could not open it to return the key. I called the help line (not available on the app) and was on hold for over 40 minuets. I finally had to go to the the uhaul audit office that was in the building where the truck was. They couldn’t find anyone to help. I ended up leaving the key with them. Overall it could have been excellent experience if it wasn’t for the key fiasco.
Jannine DDo not rent from here. Do not use mobile pickup. Key was missing from box, but vehicle was unlocked. Had to call customer service twice. First call waited 16min outside in Phx summer heat then transferred to Hyundai dealer in NH. Second call waited 8min then 40min trying to figure out how to help me. Couldn't get the code to second vehicle available at same pickup location. Resolution was to transfer rental to a physical location. Got to physical location and they share story about their first vehicle available for mobile pickup was stolen ad out of inventory for 3 months. Worst customer service experience EVER. Next time I need to rent vehicle, I will exhaust every other option before I go back to U-haul. Your slogan should be we put "U-through-hell".
Russell GOn pick up, the vehicle was parked so close to the wall that it required approximately ten minutes and at least a ten-twenty point manuver to avoid damage to the driver side running board. Direction for drop off of key was not clear or accurate. No orange drop box was located. Live chat only directed me to 800 number. 15 minutes on hold w/o answer by CSR. Finally left key with site manager employee Tom Dilgard. Process correction for key drop is required for this site. Vehicle was great. Otherwise process was good. I will go to sites with live employee assistance in the future. Remote check out/in was too much of a PITA.

Allan SEverything went great! Having access to a cargo van gives me the flexibility to haul larger items without the overhead and payment of owning a new van.
Brett WI used my personal mobile device to rent the cargo van. It was quick and easy. Would do it again and Would recommend!
