Took nearly two hours to get the trailer the morning of my scheduled reservation. Not ideal when you are already stressed out about moving. You'd think a trailer pickup where everything has been scheduled online would be a quick in and out experience. Apparently the UHaul systems were down - I would suggest either investing in some better servers or give employees a workaround to get customers out the door even when your crappy systems are not working. Today I have just received a charge saying that I didn't return my trailer until yesterday when I returned it the same day I rented. So that is an extraneous 200 dollar charge that I am now attempting to resolve with the location. This all just feels like an extreme hassle for a simple same day trailer rental. The equipment itself worked great and was exaclty what I expected, and the manager (Steve I think) was helpful in hooking it up to my truck and getting me set up. The drop off was also smooth. These are the only reasons why my review is not one star.

It was nothing about the location or the employees, they were helpful. It's about corporate not spending the money to support the amount of server traffic expected at the end of every month. Y'all are crazy busy in a predictable way, and you don't have the infrastructure to support it? It took the woman in front of me 20 minutes to get through the verification step, and the rest of us just had to wait, hoping our own transactions would be faster. Fix this problem. You've already lost me as a future customer, but fix it so y'all don't go out of business.

I absolutely HATE your check in and check out process. Your online app took 40 fucking minutes. Kept kicking me out. Would not accept location. If you hired a second employee to run the floor, you could have a smoother process. 100% using Penske next time because being forced to use the app to check in

I was talked down to and avoided when I came to pick up my vehicle. I called to inquire when it would be ready since it had been five hours. I wasn’t rushing him just asking him when it would be ready so I could plan out my day. He was not friendly about it and avoided me when I came to pick it up. I thought the whole experience was frustrating especially because I had clicked I wanted to wait with my vehicle and then that wasn’t an option at this location. Then the very young boys that told me about what they did to my car said they had to use YouTube to figure it out and were fishing for an apology from me because they couldn’t figure out my car. I will never be doing this again. I would rather take multiple moving trips by myself than deal with the gouging prices and random fees plus not great customer experience with your employees. 0/10 would not recommend. Moving is already hard enough without this being a pain every time.

Windshield was dirty. Gas tank was at an eighth. Selected counter pick up but worker insisted we had to do through phone and then tried to charge us an extra $800 for mileage. Thankfully, someone else was able to finally help us before she left. Also, asked to pick up in Golden but had to drive 25 minutes to this location.

The representatives at this location were rude and unprofessional. They were unhelpful in navigating the app to reserve a truck and snippy with me and other customers that we had not used the app in the first place. The app would then not let me upload photos of the truck and the representative was irritated with me when I wasn’t sure what to do to move forward with the reservation when the app wasn’t working. The truck they gave me had the passenger seatbelt wrapped around the seat and was unusable so they had to give me another truck which they were able to reserve for me without me using the app (which was confusing because they refused to rent me a truck initially unless I did it through the app). The representative we worked with was observed being rude and condescending to other customers as well. I will not rent from uhual again in the future due to this experience.

Stop forcing the customer to use the app, which has never worked without a glitch when I've rented a van, while the people behind the counter look on and watch you struggle with a glitchy app. Why am I doing the work? An employee actually had to take my phone and try to get it to work and go through the steps while I watched him and then the location's wifi went down and the app didn't work anyway. Very, very frustrating and quite annoying to be doing the work of checking in while employees wait and watch. They are helpful, but why aren't they doing it - they are faster?! I remember when U-Haul checked you in, got the photos and you signed and left. Too bad you foisted the work off on the customer.

I think it's absolutely ridiculous that I have to download an app/go on a website and go through the whole rental process myself. I went in person to the front desk to hopefully process everything with a human because that's their job right? If not, y'all need to hire someone to do rentals. I had to use a lot of mobile data which for me is very limited. Is there anyway to get a u haul without a smartphone? The guy working there said no. I want to get a flip phone soon but experiences like this remind me that that's practically impossible in this time. Also on top of all of this it asked me like 10 times for different rentals or services that I didn't need. Just let me rent a goddamn truck without the extra bs. I was really disappointed with this experience and if u haul doesn't change this crap I will never use one again. And I will make it a point to try to convince everyone I know not to use u hauls. I normally don't get upset like this but my experience was so bad that I felt the need to leave this review. I'm 23 btw so I'm not like some geezer that doesnt know how to use tech. I'm just pissed off at how corporate BS is trying everything they can to cut costs like removing the need to hire someone that processes rentals. Y'all suck for that and whoever is reading this, show this to people who will actually do something because if you just let a review like this go, nothing will change and you will be replaced by AI. Laugh and brush it off all u want but it's coming. Human customer service is so important and I will try my hardest to not support companies that are exterminating that essential limb of business.

I, along with other customers, waited over an hour outside because the openers didn't show up to work. Being an hour and a half behind schedule really made my travel needs more difficult. I plan to go with other services from now on, I spent too much money with you to receive substandard service.

My installation turned out to be a difficult and challenging one. Shawn persevered, he called several co-workers attempting to resolve the issue. Upon completion the job had been done using parts that were cheaper than the original quote. It has been a long time since work on one of my vehicles came in under the original bid. It has made me a customer for life. Shawn held the utmost professionalism throughout the process and was even coaching other employees along the way. I can't thank you enough for putting him in charge of this location. He is doing an excellent job. Seeing the workload he is capable of juggling I think he would be an excellent candidate for promotion, raise, and or more vacation. He is earning it everyday, and making the Schoen family proud.

The Uhual app is absolutely terrible! Caused check in to take over an hour and is a huge inconvenience and waste of time. Thankfully the general manager was there to help and was very kind and made sure I was able to check in and get my rental.

I've been to many many uhauls and I've never written a review. This is based off of one rental experience. Sean, the manager, deserves one. He clearly cares so much about his customers, the facility, his teammates and there were so many examples of things he mentioned that he was working on to actively improve his location. All with positivity and clearly a knowledge of the business. He is an outstanding employee and I hope Uhaul recognizes the incredible person they are so lucky to have representing them. 10 / 5 stars. WOW.

Stop with the app. It was glitchy and didn’t work properly and even the employee couldn’t get it to work. It took forever, kept jumping back and I would have to re-enter info up to four times. I absolutely hated it and struggled with it for ten minutes while employees waited and they tried to help but couldn’t. So I’m struggling to do their checkin work while they get paid to watch me. Pain in the butt and a huge deterrent to wanting to rent from U-Haul!!! Why make the customer do all the work while two employees wait — why can’t they do it? Don’t force that crap on customers - we get enough of it elsewhere.

Also, unclear and confusing on where to park the car we brought to take us both home after dropping off the truck.
