I asked the clerk several times why my total was over 100$ when the advertisement clearly states 19.99$. She continued to say “it’s a flat rate- it does not matter”. So my question is- how do I get that rate that is advertised? Why aren’t customers informed that it will actually be 100$ or more. I only needed the truck for one hour- but I wasn’t given the choice. That was very upsetting.

I returned at 4:45 and everyone was gone while the hours on the door state you close at 5pm on Sundays. Just rude service.

COREY SI didn’t like the take pictures in the app part, the vehicle wasn’t parked right for me to take pictures so I had to move it. It took longer than expected that’s all.
ANN DI ordered a utility dolly and it was not in the rental truck. Was told they was out of those dollies and I could get an appliance dolly. The young man named Jarvis or something with a J handed me the dolly instead of putting it in the truck. J was rude and unconcerned.

WILLIAM DI don’t like how the company has changed and forces the customer to work for free by using their app. The whole reason why I’m loyal to any company is because of the direct human interaction I get from people who represent the company. You taking away the personal aspect of your business, just leaves me feeling exploited as a consumer, seen as nothing more than dollars and cents on someone’s ledger who’s looking to milk more out of me by doing less. I don’t appreciate that I had to download an app for a service I will only use a handful of times in my lifetime. I had a reservation and the app was not at all intuitive in finding where my reservation was. It also was unintuitive on the contract that you can agree from the contract page and not have to go back. I greatly dislike the fact that the contract is microscopic on our phones now, and has me questioning what you are slipping in there that’s too hard to read with 20/20 vision. It took at least twice as long for me to get my reservation taken care of, since EVERY SINGLE customer had to get assistance on how to navigate the app in order to just pay you people and go about our day. Taking away the human element of customer service is a huge hassle, very frustrating, and demoralizing. You’re no longer providing a service, you’re just playing with ways to make the consumer pay for your laziness and greed. It was much easier and a much more positive experience when I was able to go in and have a trained professional deal with navigating your site that they’re accustomed to using in a daily basis. I actually resent using U-Haul, because I hate feeling used. Making us do the work your employees used to do for us is consumer exploitation. You’re going to have to drastically reduce your fees or offer something free if you’re going to continue to expect consumers to work for free for you.

ANTHONI AI made my reservation about two weeks ago. When I got there they said they didn’t have my reservation. I showed the the confirmation email and they looked puzzled. After about 30 minutes I was able to get my unit. The staff was all over the place. Trying to help two and three customers at a time. It was a free for all. Attention spans we’re all over the place. The guys at the counter seemed inexperienced and lacked focus. It was hard to get a straight answer about a direct question. The unit I was given is damaged. Hopefully no rain will enter through the hole. Not a good experience for me as a customer.
