The young lady was there alone moving around vehicles and organizing trailers that had been dropped off. She quickly helped attach the trailer so I could move my things into storage. She did an excellent job, thorough and professional. She deserves special award and a raise!

The people worked on the deck especially the female on Sunday 8/3/25 she was disrespect women maybe because Sunday or something else she speaks own language when asked her she said your truck blacked with another truck so what is the problem give me another one . Checking in on site, they just have you check in on your phone. So, if you choose to go inside instead of in the app, and wait in a long line, then them just having you check in on the phone seems stupid and aggravating

Poor customer service. I chose checking at the desk. They told me the scan a QR code and I had to do it all my self. Didn’t pull out the truck or explain any thing before hand. I don’t know why the guy was. Completely unhelpful. When I dropped off the car there was no check in process just told me to leave the keys in the truck and go.

Most everyone who assisted me last Saturday provided excellent service, from the centralized phone agents to the scheduling staff. Jocelyn, at the Sudley Road location, was impressive in her role as she simultaneously assisted me and another customer to get through the digital steps to pick up our rentals. She demonstrated noteworthy capability and was truly fantastic. I was disappointed, however, when I returned the vehicle. I arrived about five minutes before the location closed and while there were three uHaul staff behind the counter, they did not facilitate the return of my rental. Instead they directed me to drop the key in the after hours drop box, though I was there before closing. I did so not realizing that I needed to scan the QR code to complete the rental return. I knocked on the door for clarification and one if the team members answered and said I would need to follow the steps. I had to ask that he retrieve the key in that event so I could get back in the truck and capture, pictures, mileage and fuel. He did so but it was disappointing that he had not provide more assistance when I walked in the store, nor provide complete guidance and information when he said I needed to use the drop box. I pieced together that there would be a fee for returning the vehicle after hours, which we had not done. I was finally able to get through the initial steps in the return process on the app, but when I got to payment step, I found that the mileage rate was incorrect and did not match what was on the website when I booked the truck that morning. I called the uHaul customer service center and again found them to be as helpful as they could be. They noted my account and said they would add a messaging for the manager to be look into the matter of the rate and call me the next day. To my surprise, Jocelyn called me a short time later that same evening! She said she had not ever seen that high of a rate added and would correct the rate and I would not be charged a fee for after hours drop off. She apologized for how the team had handled my return when I brought the vehicle back. She promised to resolve my situation the next morning and by late afternoon, I got an updated receipt with the correct charges. I cannot say enough about Jocelyn and the exceptional care and service she provided throughout the day of my rental.

I got there and sat there for an hour waiting for the acceptance screen to load since “the servers were running very slow”. After growing tired and waiting for an hour, I politely ask the girl behind the desk, “hey is there anything you can do we have been waiting for an hour” then she proceeds to give me unnecessary attitude even though I was being very nice to her. Once I finally get the truck the check engine light was on! Throughout the drive the tire pressure light turned on twice and then on the way back the traction control turned off for a little. I was driving in the middle of a storm as this was happening! I would not recommend this place again.

This new system takes absolutely tooo long and it’s beyond frustrating when your systems are constantly changing or glitching and it’s a nightmare process! I would rather find a friend with a truck next time! I have used this exact location for the last 20 years… this was horrible and it was NOT the people AT ALL.. it was the system… change AT&T ugh

Don't like how the complete process is basically self-service. Two employees were behind the counter and all they did was direct 3 different customers how to download the app and sign out the vehicle. Now, you have to check in your own vehicle as well. Not very customer service oriented.

With the grade of this location, you should consider getting an electric trailer dolly for the employees so they don't have to use vehicles to move around trailers since there is a small parking area. If a trailer gets away from an employee, it could cause damage to another uhaul trailer, a customer vehicle or wind up in Sudley road.

Two comments, not particular to the location. First, it would great if the location information (e.g. website, app) provided clear information regarding options for a personal vehicle if you are doing an in town rental for a few hours when you are making the rental. Second, the U-haul app is nice improvement but still clunky. I spent a lot of time doing initial setup at the rental site (e.g. driver's license pics, verification, etc.). These could have been completed prior. The workflows in the app are slow to process.. I would argue that it is difficult to say that the mobile checkout process made anything faster or easier.

People were helpful, but most of the paperwork, required to be filled out on your own smart phone, could have been done the previous day when I made the reservation in person. I expected everything about the pickup to be quick, but it was not. Paperwork when picking up was more about the process than the customer.

Truck fuel gauge was on empty with 11 miles left on the tank. Would have been nice to have at least 1/4 tank. This impacts customers who are already in high stress mode due to moving. Check engine light was on from the start. When questioned, staff weren't concerned and said it's all good. Truck cab wreaked of Marijuana smoke.

The last time I rented a U-Haul all I needed to do was: 1) Make a reservation. 2) Show up with my driver's license and a major credit card. 3) Drive away quickly and happily. NOW, you people have made the entire check-in process convoluted and exasperating...with an over-reliance on our mobile phones. When I walked in Friday to get my truck, there were six other VERY PISSED OFF customers trying to navigate all the hoops and bullshit you now require on their damned phones. I became number-seven on the VERY PISSED OFF list. Either return to the old way of checking-in, or -- next time I need a UHaul -- I'll find somewhere else to rent a truck.

My rental was clean and drove well. The problems were that it did not have a lock on the driver's side, and the passenger side door didn't quite close all the way, barely enough to be secured. The entire lock tumbler on the outside driver's door was missing and they just covered it with a sticker, which is not secure. Also it was a major inconvenience because every time I had to enter, I had to climb through the passenger side and then slide over. I requested a new vehicle but they were unable to accommodate since mine was "the only one-way vehicle available that day", despite the lot being full of other vehicles. I'm shocked that they found the condition of this vehicle good enough to rent out, and the only remedy they offered was a vague "I can try to find you a truck at a different location". I'm shocked these problems weren't a big enough deal for them to fix before renting the vehicle out. My review would be more positive if they communicated the problems earlier (as soon as they were discovered since I understand the vehicles turn around quickly) so I could change plans if necessary, instead of discovering it myself as I was going through final checks. Or if they offered to discount the price to offset the inconvenience and safety issues.

Tiny, but mighty is how I would describe this location. I have many options close to me to rent from U-Haul, but this is the only one I use. I will change my equipment (even if it means I am going bigger/more expensive) just to be able to use this location because the staff is ALWAYS fast and friendly.
